I love my new bike, but I still miss the 2017 R3 it replaced. Agree with the styling updates. Again, purely a subjective thing, but I do bemoan the loss of the analog tach.
The new R3 is 🔥. The only thing that I don't like is that they still kept the side indicators. I wish they'd used mirror Indicators so that the bike looks more Slick.

Thank you for the opportunity Yammie! I was looking at a R3 to get me to and from my school, job, and home. But I did not have enough to purchase it, and school is starting up soon. It cost a lot for me to get to from on a daily basis. But strangely enough, you come out with the exact R3 I was looking at.
Just a note for MPG... I have done about 1400km so far on my R3 (~870 miles) and my fuel economy at the present is 2.9 L/100km or 81.1 MPG. Though I haven't still go to the rev limit with it, but I am normally cruising at 6000-8500rpm and up to 9500-10000 when overtaking.
I was looking at the KTM Duke 390 since everyone and their mum recommends it but I heard about how unreliable KTM is so now here I am looking at Yamaha's.
You shouldnt,buy what you like forget reliability every euro bike needs proper service if you do them on time you wont have any issues(i got a multi with 100k)the thing with reliability was in previous generation of ktm not now and it was hyped by the young people who thought they can treat a ktm-duc as a honda that aint gonna happen and its not because they aint reliable is because japan and europe have different approach considering maintenance. Edit i own a multistrada 620 05 and a gsxr 750 09 i love them both for their use.
Sup yam, Got a 2019 R3 in blue for the lady 2 months ago. 750 miles and no regrets. Sick, quick bike. I’ve got a 2014 R6 and I take the R3 most of the time if she doesn’t go. haha!
I'm dreaming of that r3, but I'm not a resident of United States so that I don't have even a chance to win. But for now I'm starting to keep my salary to buy like that motorcycle unit. For now I have 2,300 peso, hoping to get r3 on the day of my birthday. Serves as my bday gift for my 25th birthday. I really like watching your videos. :)

Funny you said that about 5th and 6th gear. I wasn't aware of that feature, but just noticed a few days ago how it really does make the rpms behave on the highway. Great vid.
Holy fucking cow, that bike is beyond stunning, indicators could have been led though, the white would match the colour scheme even more. But GODDAMMIT the design!!!!! Looks better than most litre bikes
Yeah I pretty much don’t like the front forks on my 2016 R3. Way too soft and they dive like crazy when coming to a stop. That was one huge difference I noticed when getting on my ZX10R. The front forks were amazing compared to the R3. My ZX10R has an Ohlin’s rear shock so of course there was a huge difference there too. Lol.
Heard that the after market adjustable brakes on the R3 have an issue with the radial brakes? The front brakes tend to lock up if the adjustment or tension is off. Ride safe. So far there hasn't seemed to be a problem with axials.
RC is fast but the ride quality, build quality and performance everything is better on R3. If R3 was priced equal to RC 390 here in India, no would have touched RC 390.
@@TashreefShareef I said personally. & from test riding both I preferred the ride of the RC. I felt more confident dropping it into corners as compared to the R3

The 2015 had two overdrive gears too. I'm getting 61mpg on mine, which is 7 higher then what you're getting on that 2019. I believe its because the 1st gen is more aerodynamic as it doesn't have that ugly fake air intake between the headlights. That's gotta kill your highway mpg's.
Now THAT is how an A2 sportbike is suppose to look. Finally something cool in the 300/500 class. I cant stand the old r3, the ninja 400 or the cbr500r.

Thinking about buying a r3 for a play bike. Had a Honda grom and bent the frame on it. So debating on doing another grom or a R3. I’ve already have a 2015 GSXR750 so I’m looking just to play with a little bike!

You seem to know a lot about the 2015 & 2019 Now I got the 2016 but I like the 2019 look, it seem like not much changed but the front headlight & the tank and front folk.. now if I get me those parts will it fit my 2016 r3 (My r3 wrecked rn will need new fairings, new folks, front rims)
Yammie, do you have a list of must do mods on the R3? I heard you say R6 throttle body, and moving the foot position (?) on a video but I watched so many I can’t find it now. Maybe this video?! Thanks from a new rider who also got a 2017 R3 :)
So the transmission is new? I once rode an R3 (old one) and I found that cruising at 60 mph on the highway I'm still looking at high RPMs even on sixth.

Is the exhaust on the 2019 model the same as the older ones? If i was to purchase a slip on or full exhaust that was made for the 2016 and 2017 model, would it fit on this bike?
@@mdsmith1019 maybe the case, but i have a hard time finding information about this, maybe someone who is more in tune with this sector would have easier access to the information. at this point I'm 90% sure i want a 2018 sv650, i just want as much information as possible.
Honestly that bike looks amazing however I would want the sv650 personally and since I have actually sat on a sv650 I am kind of falling for the 650. Just wish I could win the give away that would be amazing!

Wassup bro i just really inlove with the r3 because of new looks new digital speedometer and the goodlooking inverted fork shocks and the new led its almost almost perfect but the only one im complaining the tail light because its a r series the r series taillight like r1 and r6 and r15 are just like vertical light and goddamm looking badass bike so i hope that yamaha change it next year or in other year but yamaha r3 are best of the best peace

Harri ThaWizard save up my friend. A used one can cost as low as $2000. With gear and all you’ll be looking around $3000 - $3500. It seems like a lot but to someone like me it will save a lot of money on gas and time as I commute 45+ mins to work.
