As I can see, there's one dude there who is an example of China's apologist's take on the matter that they have the right in those areas because they are a superpower, or on that dude's argument, they are just slowly encroaching, so just let them be. First of all, that's a very stupid argument, because by that argument, you're also giving the CCP the reason to continue but surely own those waters. Second, when or where is enough of it? Are you going to wait until it's already too late? That's basically what happens now that they already have multiple bases and artificial islands because they were left there and no one gave a damn. Lastly, imagine just giving out your own backyard, where you can freely stroll and play. On the other claimant's part, though, that's part of their livelihood, food security, and some will say that it's their traditional fishing ground. Hence, there's also a sentimental value to it. Just imagine someone robbed you of your work and food; those are maybe just some basic needs to live for you, but they are everything for those people.
