What's in a Bodyline Lucky Pack in 2024? 

They have no restocked or released any of those in just as many years. So they may just be trying to close entirely.

A few years ago they revamped their website and took new product pictures for the listings they had back then, so I had renewed hope that they would continue with the business and keep releasing new things, but they haven't restocked any other shoe designs since then and they also haven't brought back any non-generic shoe designs. Probably because they don't want to land themselves into hot water again with lolita brands by using their designs.

They will never restock because they are a costume shop. They only ever did lolita because mr yan wanted a bride. When he got it he left and so did lolita. They gave it a shot and it didn't do well.

​@originalkingdomhearts this may be considered a nit pick but they have restocked multiple times after Mr Yan left. They even made the effort to take new product photos of existing products and have released a few new designs. No new designs for shoes though. They switched over to a different kind of synthetic material for some of the shoes, and the designs look subtly different (no different details but slightly different shape and proportions). And they haven't released anything new or restocked shoes in a long time now afaik which gives me the impression they've given up on the lolita part of the shop. They frequently hold sales for the best selling lolita items, so they must still be producing those. It really could go any which way. Maybe they'll continue for a long time with their current product line up. Maybe they'll start releasing new stuff again, maybe they'll just remove the lolita part entirely. I have very little hope for the shoes though.

Wait, really? Ugh, that’s super disappointing because I always struggle with finding plus size friendly j-fashion (even then, some of the plus size options available still wouldn’t work for me), I wish more j-fashion companies would recognize that we would love to buy their products and wear them :/ (And yes, I know I’m not entitled to their products, but it’s still annoying) ps sorry for the mini rant, I just wanted to get that off my chest and I couldn’t find a super cohesive way to do so

Do you know any affordable Lolita places that have 4xl? I can’t find nothing anywhere and I’m trying to buy my first Lolita coord responsibility

@@megp9id There are loads more options for plus sized lolita fashion from japanese brands these days, but none of them are as affordable as bodyline. The yen is pretty weak though, so you might get some good deals if you try brands that carry plus sizes such as Maxicimam.

@@Xdrwarl0ser tragically, affordable lolita is VERY hard to come by, but i've heard great things about atelier pierrot's sizing! just note that their site has several brands on it - atelier pierrot's own brand is the one you're looking for. though, i think some of the other brands on there also have plus size options, like marble! to rattle off a few other plus size brands out there, there's metamorphose, rosina blue, physical drop, glitter tale, enchantilic enchantilly, and maxicimam. and, of course, any dress with shirring is worth checking the size info for, even if it's from a brand that's not typically plus size friendly

Did you look at the shoe prices when you went? I went last month too. I got a blouse but I regret not picking up shoes, they were very cheap 😭

I only have 1 Bodyline dress as I'm just starting out in the fashion but it's really cute and well-made, I wouldn't mind getting more. I don't understand why people hate on them (besides the creepy stuff the former owner did, but didn't he leave years ago?)

@@_kaleido Ahhh, Mr. Yan. I still want that blasted body pillow just for the memes. XDDD As for BL, though, 12 out of the 83 dresses I own are BL, if that tells you just how much I love the brand! "Strawberry Shortcake", "Sweet Tart", and "Maple Sugar Waffle" are three of my faaaaaavoourites!

@@_kaleido Don't worry, 4 dresses is enough for your first 2 years or so imo. I must say I think 83 dresses is a lot to me as well, but it depends on how you plan your wardrobe and if you plan on being a daily lolita, or like collecting prints, etc. I've been at it since 2003, and many closet cleans, new purchases and a long hiatus later I think I own between 30 and 40 main pieces (dresses, skirts) at the moment, just got done with a closet clean. I don't collect border prints. I have maximized other parts of my wardrobe such as bags, shoes, accessories, outerwear, blouses, etc for more coordination options. But my wardrobe isn't set up for a daily lolita lifestyle anymore. I don't think I own any casual lolita pieces. As for why people hate bodyline; I don't think that's the case anymore but yeah, people used to hate on bodyline. Probably because it was the worst (quality and design wise) that was still considered lolita and not something else. But the lolita market is much bigger now than it used to be, and we now have the lolita equivalent of fast fashion with the mass production products available through multiple chinese platforms (such as aliexpress, I'm not talking about chinese brands), so bodyline doesn't look bad at all compared to those products.

I got the same two petticoats but the JSK, Blouse, Gloves and Headress I recieved didn't go together at all firstly and secondly the accessories (Headdress, gloves) were very costumey and didn't even read as Lolita items. I didn't even get any legwear included. Not sure if anyone else has experienced the same but I was dissapointed with my Bodyline lucky pack.

I don’t thiiiiink so, it’s possible. I didn’t arrange it with them at all and I’m not sure they would recognize my legal name for the purchase and the address / name for the package was to my mom so possibly but not to my knowledge

I haven't ordered yet but, in order to see size options you have to pick a color option first. On the lucky pack, M and L are the sizes that they offer!

I may buy one of their largest sizes secondhand someday and DIY it to fit me, but I shouldn't HAVE to just to use one of the most popular lolita resources out there

Yeah, bodyline used to be okay with plus sizes some items going up to 6L, but nowadays they don´t have them. I am plus size too and have many different cuts and sizes from bodyline but in a jsk it seems to be 4L in Bodyline size but there is no 4L anymore just 2L which is sad since they used to be the go to place for plus sizes
