For those that cant get a tabletop airbrush booth, a cutting mat or large plastic covering would work to make sure that no paint gets on the table. Fantastic video dillon!
Thanks very helpful, was looking for an airbrush at michaels wrong choice , just started customizing and finished my first paying customer and from that I got 4 more orders thanks to you brotha.🙏
Great video, the company Badger that makes the Patriot 105 recommends against using the brush cleaning kit to clean your air brush. They say it changes the diameter of the needle over time and voids your warranty. They recommend ultra fine steel wool instead. Apparently if you use airbrush cleaner regularly , that’s all you need.
I can’t really see it changing the diameter of anything , they’re pretty soft bristles.. cleaner is pretty much all you need but there’s deifnitly been a couple times where I’ve had an unsolvable clog where I had to run the cleaners through there lol
Mannnnn the quality just gets betterrrrr you videos are awesome!! Been customizing for abt A year and your videos literally help soooo much keep it up !!
amazing channel, for people who make art in Sneakers it is a kind of feeling that many do not understand! Thank you for contributing to the sneakers community, I will customize them on the walls🔥🔥🔥
I officially have space for an airbrush so I'll be gettin a set-up together by the end of the year. Perfect timing on this video :) I'd add a quick release cable
WOW, thank you so much. Haven't bought an airbrush yet, but you sound like you know what you're doing and can save me from further research! QUESTION: Do I have to clean the brush every time I want to swap paint colors? Thanks so much:)
Love the new intro LOL and was wondering if you could do an airbrush kit giveaway sometime that would be awesome. Love he vids and I'm pretty sure u know me bye now because I've been commenting a lot. 😂😂
Thank you so much for the info. I had no idea what to get. The adapter isn't in stock or the cleaning pot so I will have to wait for them to get in stock. I see other adapters but they look very different from the one you use so im not sure if it will be compatible. It so funny that out of every customizer I have asked you got back to me. When I told my daughter that dejuses got back to me and that is the set up I am going to get you she was blown away she said OMG! DAD! you have no idea he is a legend. I watch him all the time. He is the reason I got into customizing sneakers. She is so excited she is gonna have the same set up as you. You're a bit of a rock star bro 😉 thanks again for helping me get all this stuff for my daughter.
Thank you my guy you just helped me out I thought something was wrong with my air brush I didn’t know about the moisture traps and all that other stuff I was getting ready to buy a new one
I’m really upset that the 3” tape is not considered “ essential.” 😂😂 Once I got it, I’ll never not have it. Great video, man. Thanks for always giving so much info. God bless!
This is not for the theme of this video.. but i´ve been wondering how do you clean your brushes while painting and after? Do you use same brush for different colors at the moment, or.. how.. ? I remember years and years ago when painting Warhammer, those detail brushes went really quick bad. Either i cleaned them wrong.. stored wrong... or just the quality was S**t.. now i would like to paint sneakers, and there is 20 yeras since i´ve kept brush on my hand so every detail and tip is more than GOLD! Thank you
The air compressor is as important as the Airbrush in my opinion. I had a compressor similar for 2-3 years. I kept thinning my paint thinking it was by Airbrush, I by another one and more peices and the same thing was happening. I buy a more experienced air compressor and for a year now its been amazing I use the California air tools compressor
Thank You DJ, its always great when talented people care enough to Pay it forward and My friend you are talented, I have done a couple pairs of shoes re furbished from a thrift store, theme was my Grandson's HS ,Basket ball team, They turned out pretty good, I would like some critique if you can share a email or can be on Facebook, once again thanks for the inspiration and the help. God Bless...
So I’m looking to start customizing AF’1s specifically do I need to use a brush at all or can I go full air brush I just figured the air brush would be more consistent for me since I’m not a vary good artist lmao
hello. I'm going to buy my first compressor, but I'm wondering whether to buy it with or without an air container. In this video you showed compressors without containers. Do you still use these or do you have air canisters now? Which solution do you recommend more?
Master Airbrush Model TC-40T VS CenntralPneumatic iolles airbrush compressor 93657 ???? Is the compressor CenntralPneumatic enough for newbies? Clearly compressor Master Airbrush Model TC-40T has to be higher. Thanks Great video
Hey, which air brush and compressor do you recommend to start off? My wife is about to start this journey and I am trying to help her finding the "proper" equipment for it. Please help! Btw, good videos man!
Really depends how much you plan on using it. For the sake of everything around you and your respiratory system I wouldn’t do it in a small room without a booth

Intersting, maybe that one only works at one specific psi.. but check the manual if you still have the box, if not harbor freight will have one online..
Yup there’s a needle lock holding in place! This one will help you What Airbrush Does a PRO Sneaker Customizer Use ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x4hg5BZSnKg.html
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear I have a couple drops of water that wont come out from the release button. Guess it should evaporate over time... I know some kits have a moisture trap you can remove and dry out. I dont think my Avanit does. Thanks for the reply
I had a master compressor for around 7 years, it just went out. I went to look for the harbor freight compressor, and it's out of stock. What would be your next choice?
Is there any preferences when it comes to which strainer to use ? I saw some on Amazon but they look a lil big and might not be able to catch as munch lumps possible.... or I might just be overthinking it lol
Depends on your location / time of year / where at in the house you are... if you have water coming from your airbrush periodically it may be time to pick up an in-line trap
Ah I’ve had the same beat up much cheaper compressor for going on 5 years so I think everyone may have a different experience. Also the airbrush is what you’re gunna need to troubleshoot and get used to fully understanding.. compressor a lot less to do.
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear thank you I just started airbrushing and paintbrushing but been drawing most of my life I did some shoes with Angelus paint I wanted to see if you can check them out and let me know what you think
Hey man love your videos. I just recently started doing shoe customs like a month ago and I was wondering if yiu can help me out a bit. How do I stop bleeding through the stencils when I paint it. I use a Cricut Explore Air 2 to make the stencils. Do I need a specific vinyl? Maybe the way I'm painting it is wrong I don't know. Hope you can help me out. Thanks.
I recommend Oracal 811 vinyl, and then tons and tons of heat setting to make sure the vinyl sticks.. after that whatever color you have underneath your vinyl paint as your first base coat.. so if white is under your vinyl and you want black text then do one white coat first and then your black
Oh yeah we talk about airbrushing all the time, but wanted to have one nice and right video to refer to when anyone needs to know more about what are some of the tools that’ll really help you
Sorry to bother you again. I been at two harbor freights and they don't have it. That model is discontinued. I see this one on Amazon with pretty much the same specs. It also looks like it has a moisture trap so would I still need to add one to the gun? I figured od as the pro before I purchase. Just wanna make sure it will work with everything else I ordered that you recommended. www.amazon.com/dp/B07VQ7MFVQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QN15T8ZK1B0690FWX1EG thanks again brother!
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear will i still need to get the moisture cup for the gun? Not sure cz there is one on the compressor. I swear that is the last question. Thank you for taking the time out to help me. I know your time is money. I appreciate the help as well as my daughter. 🙏
@@sinatra617 it depends on how temperature controlled the space is that you’ll be working in.. it won’t hurt, but also wouldn’t be necessary if it’s not very humid
@@josemarquez3402 I see. I’d say that’s an editing error as it was meant to break up the video for essential things to actually run an airbrush. But as soon as I start talking about the respirator I mention how important it is..
Hey there Dillon I’m going to buy in air brush soon hopefully but I am curious if I should buy one of the cheaper 40 dollar ones instead of the bad boy that you show at the beginning of the video same with the compressor it would be really cool if I could get a tip from the master your videos are amazing and they have given me so many ideas thanks you Dillon you are very helpful
Regardless which one I end up with I'll use your affiliate link.....that being said, what are your thoughts on the Master Airbrush Cool Runner 2?? I see it everywhere on Amazon, and it has decent reviews, but I'd rather get your opinion to be honest. Only reason I ask, is because I saw a bundle deal for like $199 that had everything you mentioned in this video, plus 24 containers of paint as well. It seemed like a good deal with decent reviews. But I wanted to get your opinion first :). Making one purchase and getting everything you need just seems like an easier thing to do.....but, if its not worth it, then I'd rather go through the hassle of buying it all separately. But based on the reviews, it seemed legit....but, we all know reviews aren't exactly what they use to be lol. Thats why I wanted to get your honest opinion on it first :) :)
I’d get the badger patriot 105, you’ll see me recommend it in 30+ videos here.: whether you’re brand stinking new or a pro it’s an affordable gun that totally gets the job done
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear will do man. Thanks for the recommendation. If buying everything separately is more worth it, I'll go that route, thanks man. I appreciate you're feedback. You're the best :)
