I LOVE your “plan” of having no birth plan, because honestly you’re right you NEVER know what’s going to go down, so there’s no point in stressing yourself out because things aren’t, “going as planned”. You’re going to do GREAT and everything is going to be so amazing having this experience. Sending lots of love. I love your videos and Home Chef is awesome for you as a new Mom. Also, think about meal prepping and freezing them so that you can eat bc it’s so important to take care of yourself and dad too! 💞
I packed my bags the night I went into labor 🤣 first baby, was 37 weeks, i labored at home for awhile until I couldn't talk through the contractions. packing and doing last minute laundry took my mind off the contractions, so it worked out great for me!
girl you are wild! but I love that you had a good distraction to labor at home before going to the hospital Im going to have nothing to do but suffer lol! they say to bake something or do laundry I cannot
Super job packing! Looks like u have it covered. I would recommend u bring ur own pillow. Hospital pillows r the worst. There is just something comforting about ur own pillow. By the way u really look good sweetheart! Can’t wait to c little Indie! Lots of love and prayers to u guys!
Our due date was the same day and I had my little man on December 12th ♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️ be stayed in the special care nursery for 1 week to gain a little weight and now he’s home! Just in time for Christmas 🎄
One thing I want to suggest is to beware of jackets in the car seat. They can add a lot of bulk onto their little bodies and it can be dangerous if the straps are not tightened properly. It’s best to just tuck a blanket around them after the harness is secure. This is stated in all carseat manuals. 😚
Finally watching this, how are you already almost due?!?!?!?!?! I get the chills really bad after delivering so I'm for sure taking a blanket, that is the one thing i wish i would've taken the past times!
Wow! You are definitely prepared for beautiful Indie!! And it shines thru how wonderful a mom you will be!! Wishing you guys the best of love luck and happiness!
I’m incredibly jealous you’ll get to drink water! I was in labor for 44 hours and didn’t get anything but ice chips! I spiked a fever around 8cm and they gave me medicine and I got to drink a TINY bit of water and it was the best little bit of water I’ve ever had. Good luck to you momma! She’s gonna be a beautiful sweet girl ❣️
Marilia Del Carmen I’m not sure. My hospital didn’t allow me to have anything to eat or drink my entire labor, including water. I could only have ice chips.
Marilia Del Carmen it’s because if you have to have a emergency c-section they don’t want you too vomit. But every hospital is different some will let you eat if you do t have medicine and do natural but most wont
@@Toriispeakzhermind Yes!! Same here. I could not drink water or eat at all during both of my labors. Luckily, 1st time was not 48 hrs or even 24 hrs!! It was 10 hrs, and my 2nd labor was only 4 hrs.
I’m due next week 1-10-20. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I’ve had everything ready since I was 30 weeks😂😂. Ready to meet my baby girl. I hope all goes well with your labor and delivery
Omg 😆!! I can’t with u girl! U are too funny in the beginning with the gum - puuuuuuush. And u are such a sweet mama already!! ☺️ God bless you and baby Indie. And Mat too!! Xoxo
I brought cute card stock paper so that the nurse could get the baby’s foot prints that I later framed or you can bring the baby book if you have one and they can do the prints in the book also.
So excited for you! I honestly don't remember what I brought when I was in labor 😂😅 I for not do a birth plan either and that is honestly the best plan. It keeps the pressure off and I feel like it makes labor run more smoothly. The only thing I did was ask for a warning for when I was about to be too far along to receive the epidural and if I would like it before I went past. It also takes FOREVER to get the epidural so don't want until you're in such unbearable pain to ask. You'll do great! I love her going home outfit
I think you packed enough and all the right stuff. I usually tend to be really hot 🥵 so I didn’t bring a blanket, but after delivery I was freezing, hormones! Also, I would recommend that daddy bring his own toothbrush.
Bring TONS of your fav healthy snacks as well as a few “treat” snacks as well ! I brought trail mix from Trader Joe’s and beef jerky ! It was soooo nice to be able to snack on tons different yummy foods after I gave birth with my second son
Lol my hubby petted me like a dog.... I wasn’t amused, thankfully my labor doesn’t last long....10 minutes with my daughter (was induced) and about 3 1/2 with my son (had to wait 40 minutes for doctor) sorry for all with long labor and delivery......however I was miserable the whole pregnancy. Congrats on your little. Love
I brought a clean pair comfy PJ's and a sleeper gown for the baby and that was it, didn't need anything else. Please do a what I brought but didn't use video!!!! Can't wait to see this sweet bundle of joy!!! Happy Holidays to you and Matt enjoy the time with your families! XO
Love it! I’m not sure if your hospital will provide them but just in case they don’t, bring your own stool softener 😬😬😬 the first poop after giving birth is terrifying. Also a dermoplast spray will be your best friend after labor if your hospital doesn’t provide it. Good luck! 💗
I know this is an older video but did you wash her little bows? If so how!? I bought a bunch from so many places and dont want to ruin them, yours look so cute!
Ahhhh, I can’t believe we’re we the stage where you’ve packed a hospital bag!!! Wasn’t it like yesterday that you announced you were pregnant?! Soooo excited for you and as always you look absolutely amaaaaazing!!! I wish you a safe and easy labor, you’ll be great, us women are so f’in strong it’s nuts!! Quick note, coconut oil saved my cracked nips AND since it has antibacterial properties it also helps prevent infections. I slathered that shit on lol! Best thing is it’s 100% safe for baby! ☺️
Aww. I miss swaddling my baby girl as a burrito😭 she is now 2 years old. You make me want to have another baby , but they are so expensive lol congratulations beautiful momma .
Even if you’re not going to do a birth vlog for RU-vid u would recommend filming bits if your labour and delivery. I love going back to watch my daughters birth 😍
Ps. Who doesn't shower after birth? I am pretty certain, even if i didn't want to, the nurses make you shower to keep your stitches (i had many many) clean. I remember my nurses asking me every change of shift if i have showered yet.
@@kimberlytexeira468 i had 4th and trust and believe the last thing i wanted to do was shower but they made me. I couldn't walk for a few days either. My friend had a c section the same day as i had a vaginal birth and she was up and jumping around in a few hours. I was like wtf, yo.
Mich3ll3 3ll3hciM they can’t actually make you do anything, they can suggest but definitely cant make you. It’s recommended due to the fluids and whatnot coming into contact with your body, it makes you feel better and obviously for hygiene reasons it’s healthier. Working in the medical field myself, we can only suggest and recommend but we cannot make anyone do anything that they don’t want to do whether that be showering, brushing your teeth, changing clothes etc.
Hillary Alex I’m a midwife in the UK and not eating in labour isn’t going to stop you from pooing when you push 😂😂. From all the ladies I had in labour I don’t think any of them hasn’t poo.
Rules are different in the US vs UK 🙂 in US hospitals you’re not allowed to eat after being admitted in case of emergency c-section. Clear liquids only - fun stuff 😜
Where is that beautiful white dresser from? Please drop a link 🙏🏼💕 I’ve been wanting to put my babies clothing away but haven’t found a white dresser I love YOURS IS PERFECT!!!
Summer fridays jet lag mask! It’s a little pricey but a tube lasts for so long because you don’t use a lot of it! It’s super hydrating, sinks into the skin and doesn’t break me out. SO good
The adult underwear was a life saver! I used the mesh underwear but it’s was so annoying because you wear this giant like puppy pad and then the actual pad on top of that. Atleast that’s what my hospital did. It took me ten minutes to change them out😩not to mention super messy. But with the adult diaper you just slip that bad boy on and your good to go! I would seriously bring more, you won’t regret it!
Congrats to you and your family is this your first baby you look absolutely stunning gorgeous what are you having a boy or girl what brand of diapers are going to use love pampers
glad you are prepared for any & everything because those mesh undies made my ass cheeks itch & peel so bad. my mom said they have latex in them which I didn’t know I was allergic to until then. 😂
Congratulations! I gave birth to 9 lb. 4 ounce baby boy naturally. I packed way too much for my hospital stay and hardly touched most of what I packed. The next one will be much different as far as packing. Lol! What you have is great though! All I have to say is maybe bring a few extra onesie shirts because you never know if your baby will have an accident through her diaper. Also, I would suggest natural aloe vera in a pump bottle, and then witch hazel in a bottle, lavender essential oil, and peppermint essential oil. If you mix all 4 of them together on your pad after giving birth it is such a relief on your lady parts if you give birth naturally! I did that till I was completely healed. Best of luck and happy thoughts for you and your baby girl! All of these things that I linked below really helped SO much after giving birth! I haven’t gotten through the whole video. Maybe you did this... I liked having chapstick. A powder compCt. Mints. Face spray. And a scrunchi on the table next to me during labor.
