I am 18 weeks pregnant and just found your channel. I have been loving all your baby and pregnancy videos! Just wanted to say thanks and keep up the awesome work!
Actually you can just fold any disposable down; the cut out isn't necessary. We used pampers for the first three weeks of her life and they were better than huggies with the cut out. For my hospital/labour bag, I actually used less than you: nothing other than lip balm, a handful of pads for me and diapers for babe, 1-2 receiving blankets and her take home outfit. I went home in the outfit I went there in (I was induced). Next time I will be packing SUPER light.
haha ohmygod you are so wonderful and silly! (I watch these kinds of videos when I'm feeling nervous about labor and delivery and the beginning made me giggle!)
This brings back so many awesome memories :) My daughter lived in something called a Swaddle Sack for almost the first 4 months (more so later on to sleep) she just loved being full-on swaddled lol..Also I wish someone, anyone had told me about the old underwear/huge maxi pads/diapers you should be wearing haha..seriously I took all the proper classes and read the books and no where did it say all that stuff was gonna happen lol. Hopefully someday I will be blessed with another and feel just a bit more confident :) Thanks for the adorable video and funny intro hahaha
Just a tip for next time (if you have baby #2) my mom never used baby nail clippers, she just bit ours off! Haha! It sounds weird, but it's more common than you would think and it is safer.
Madison Olah I bite my sons nails off. I would always cut him with the clippers and he HATED having his nails filed. So I just bite them. He thinks its hilarious.
My mom did that, but once she had a mouth sore and she put my little sisters finger in her mouth bit off too much, made her bleed and now she gets a form of herpes on that specific finger. The doctor confirmed that's why she got it.
Thanks girl! I am due to have my second daughter in August!! I completely forget pretty much everything to take from when I gave birth to my three year old. Great video! Gets me excited :)
Love this video! I'll be a new mom in April. I was wondering if you could do a what a new born needs and what you didn't use. Like as far as swings, bouncers and stuff.
You are my favorite youtuber :-) bonus: you are Canadian just like me! (Though I am french-canadian, but anyway.) And I am so happy for you, for your wedding with Chris and for little Julia (even though those two "events" happened a while ago). Congratulations and you are an inspiration!
Oh I can totally relate to that. My son's fingernails were so long, too, and he kept scratching his beautiful face. I am still not allowed to cut them (he's inly 10 days) but luckily the scratching takes care of his long nails...
Oh man.. I love your videos and all these baby vlog videos.. I can't wait to be a momma!! It seems like you are very knowledgeable in all the baby stuff even though this is your first go! So awesome! :)
Very useful video thanks! I just found your channel and I am pretty much enjoying it. I've also got the same swaddle kit from Aden and Anais. Always hard to pronounce lol
I love all of these mommy videos! I am not due until June but your videos have already been so helpful. Keep them coming! :) What about a good mommy makeup tutorial or no heat hairstyle?
+Audreywilson thought he was insanely rude, technically anyone from another country could refer to her as American, because she does live in North America :)
Heh way too many pillows. They always dope me up so much at the hospital that I could be laying on the floor and not notice how hard it is. Super cute video :)
they didn't let you take a shower at the hospital?? in the hospital I'm going to deliver they make you shower before you are placed into your recovery room and then there is a shower in your room to use
I work in a hospital and we have belongings bags and big baggies. : ) To all your viewers don't hesitate to ask if you forget something they may have it at your hospital. A lot of things are free of charge as well like deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb the list goes on and on. : ) Very helpful video, I like that you waited till you had been through it to post what was actually helpful to you!
Geez I was wondering about that as when I had my son (back in the dark ages) all that stuff was provided an they sent me home with diapers an formula etc...good to know some things havent changed !
I didn't bring diapers or wipes with me to the hospital they supply them and I'd rather use the free diapers and wipes. I brought scratch mittens in case the baby had long nails. I didn't bring a lot of baby outfits with me but next time I am because the amount of spit up and pee that gets on their clothes is crazy. All you really need for baby are some cute clothes, socks, and mittens. As far as underwear and pads, the hospital gives those to you. But bring a whole bunch of clothes because you will need it!
I'm really surprised by all these items. Here in the US they will give you more pillows…toothpaste etc. In addition, by then your insurance info etc. are in the computer.
Thank you for this video! LOVED your TMI about fluids coming out of everywhere!!! A close friend of mine is actually about 4 months pregnant; I will send this to her. And yes, just so you know, The Bay is a Canadian store...that was just sold to the American group Lord and Taylor. Loves from Montreal xoxo
I love the videos I've watched so far, you're hilarious and are getting me through my last few weeks of pregnancy (I am so done at 34 weeks haha) I totally subscribed!
