There's a healthy balance of what your kit consists of and your talent when it comes to pricing. There's no way I'd have all Tom Ford in my kit and charge $50. No way. Any who, I love the way you set up this video! It's a lot shorter than most kit videos because it's straight to the point. Thanks a lot, now I need this traincase in my life. lol
i think it makes sense to charge more based on the products. Someone whos kit is worth 2000$ shouldnt be charging the same amount as someone whos kit is worth 400$. If one artist invests more in themselves they have the right to charge more.
You're only as good as your talent. I'd rather have an amazing artist with a $400 kit than a crappy artist that makes me look awful and has a $2000 kit.
You didn't have to be condescending about it. You were saying how you think it's wrong for an artist with a $200 to charge as much as a $400 kit-equipped artist - I simply disagreed and stated my opinion that your kit is only worth your talent. If you use the most expensive, luxury products.. it doesn't matter unless you have the talent to back up the products.
But you have to make a profit. The cosmetic industry does it all the time. If Too Faced pallet cost $20 to make they are not going to sell it at the same price as a NYX pallet that may cost $1 to make. A MUA who is investing a lot of money in their kit needs to make up for it with their pricing. Not always, but most of the time high end products tend to be better quality and longer lasting. Of course talent plays a part, but the previous comment was just referring to pricing.
enjoyed watching very much! it was quick to show wat you had and didnt have to say wat each product was for. which is great cuz its pretty self explanitory what each be for. loved it!!!
Thats BS I have mostly high end and I think I charge cheaper than most makeup artists... people are crazy. you are right you charge for your service not your products.
I love the train case! and the price isn't bad! I use the mac travel bag right now, and it is kinda a pain to have to dig in all the bags and take everything out.
Can I just say "duh". I spent way to much money on an obnoxious case with drawers. It is such a pain in the ass to clean up and keep organized. I thought the total opposite. The open up case makes so much more sense. Thanks for the tip. Love this video
+AbbyLynn401 There is a product called Beauty so Clean that is perfect to sanitize powders and creams without compromising the product itself. I use it religiously in my work and have LOVED it! It also prolongs the life of your makeup since you are keeping it cleaner.
I loved seeing this. you are so organized and compact. I need to work that! do you find that you can sheer out the double wear if you need to? curious how it performs that way, also what is your opinion on airbrush? thanks :)
Seeing the begining of your video,I thought you ld only have some kiko nyx and gemey maybelline, but gurl these are high end products! They are not luxurious product like La mer or whatever but these are already high end product! 😘
Great video! What shades do you carry in the liquid foundation? And I was also wondering what you find yourself using more of, the liquid foundations or the cream pallet?
Omg I've been contemplating on getting the bobbi brown bbu palette I'm just starting to put my kit together. Is that foundations good on oily skin people and brides ?
Hello Katherine! Thank you for this video!! I know I was one of the people that requested this video which was very helpful ☺️ Do you think the MAC studio fix foundation would be a good alternative to Estée Lauder? Hope you reply! Thanks!
I like many makeup artists, but I don't like ALL their makeup looks, you on the other hand have never done a makeup look that wasn't FLAWLESS. If I ever get married I'd want you to do my makeup which is impossible since I live in the other side of the planet lol
