This is one of the most enjoyable things; that box that you've been building up over the past 3-6months arrives and its full of dirty old watches from japan.
Was looking at ebay australia for seikos, and theres japanese stores that sell prime ministers fobs all over. At least ten, same as that or some have other emblems. Real seikos?
The date in the chrono relates to the 53rd year of an Emporer's reign, probably Hirohito. That's how they do it in Japan. I recently found that out from a computer channel here on YT.
Hi Sabrina & Spencer. I wonder if the 2700 movements aren't being made, and they're just selling their own NOS. That might be true if there isn't interest in these so they're still hanging around. It would be interesting to see what era of lubricants are on one that you bought today. I vote for your doing the 2559 curve piece. That's just gorgeous and I'd love to see the restoration video. Cheers!
With learning to tell the time I had it tough . What confused me was as a child I learned 25 past the and 25 minutes to the next hour then to muddle things up my gran came 5 and 20 minutes past and 5 and 20 minutes to the hour . As a child learning that I was in a right mess
@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch The crystal seems to be the 54-5016. It did not come on the original bracelet, I beleive I've tried to find one, or a reference to it, without much luck.
YT vandalised the layout of their channel, they moved the comments to the corner and filled the whole page up with small icons of other videos so when you watch your video the underside of the video touches all these pictures giving me a headache, are you on any other channel? like Patreon or something? It is very hard to watch it on YT :( not your fault... I started a second channel besides my SideWalkAstronomyNetherlands channel here which still works and opened a page on patreon, also called SideWalkAstronomyNetherlands :) You Tube really went off the rails :(
