I am a professional watchsmith who specializes in vintage Seiko restoration. These are videos that I make for my customers to walk them through their watches during evaluation and after servicing. My goal is to have my customers have a solid understanding of how their watch is doing, and to understand a bit more about the internal workings of a watch.
I do evaluations for free, so if you have a question or want a watch checked out, drop me a line.
🎼And the cows have all gone, 🎵 running home to put their coats on 🎶 Thanks for sharing the song; it was worth a listen. And, as always, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Rolex are not hand built, not hand lumed etc. Rolex if they had only gone up with inflation from the 58 one would be the same price as the seiko. The seiko is a better watch.
Got mine for my 13th birthday 50 years ago. I was a diver (air) a pilot a bush hunter an engineer, still love it today. Its had such a hard life that it's beyond repair today, still runs, but that's what happens to a tool watch. So I started collecting Seiko divers. Love your work.
Looks great. I was recently given a 1974 MGB GT that I had to remove from it's long storage downtown Charleston SC. I like the little car but I absolutely cant fit in it lol. I hope to find the car a home where it will be cared for and not crushed in the near future.
I am pleasantly surprised by how valued this model is in the vintage market. It is a watch that I saw on my father's wrist when I was a child and I still have it, along with another unit that I acquired a few years ago.
Honestly, I have too many pieces at the moment which I don't wear that I have to clear some space and sell to make some cash. Until then I wouldn't spend much over $150 and at that price I would be lucky to find a beater that needs work. I didn't even know about this watch a month ago and I haven't seen many auctions in that time to know what the going price of a good example would be.
I wonder if my Pulsar Pulsar quartz 2001 (V103-6059), Reference number: V103-6059 550061 is in that book, I still don't know how old it is and how expensive it was, found it on the flea market :)
Hey spencer, how much similarities 6r or 4r movements to 1960s automatic seiko movements? I read that it same as up to 85% as 61xx and 63 series movements, is that true ? Or just newer movements are downgraded from the past
Hey guys! I can confirm that car boot sales are a thing in the UK 😂 im scottish but currently living in Australia and they also have a big sunday morning car boot scene. You never know what your gonna find!
¡Qué patina ni nada, limpia ese reloj! Y por favor, no señales con esa pinza metálica tan cerca que yo creo que todos quienes amamos esas piezas estupendas nos ponemos nerviosos! Usa algo de madera o de plástico... Gracias.
Spencer and Sabrina, I just wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate your knowledge, expertise and content. As a hobbyist watchmaker and Seiko fanatic, I am amazed at the wealth of knowledge that your channel has provided me in my Seiko journey. I currently own 23 vintage Seikos and 21 modern references. I’ve also built 10 or so Seiko mods with NH 35 and 36 movements. I just left a donation through the website to show my appreciation for everything that you have done for the Seiko community and hobbyists like myself. Many thanks and please keep up the great work. I was watching one of your older videos about the crystals that you sold. I was curious if you still sold crystals or if you knew of a good reliable source for vintage Seiko crystals. I know there are lots of poor quality Chinese versions on eBay etc, but I wanted to find higher quality like you sold in the past. Thank you again. - Tony
I just found one of these in a busted wood frame at a antique store for $15. It is the one with 4 screw locations and the pull at the bottom like your desk clock
