Hey, just a little reminder for everyone. Don't take the population numbers in Eberron too seriously. They tend to be way too low of estimates, so keep that mind.
Honestly, it's not that crazy for the Shadow Marches though. They living in such a primitive and natural way means implicitly living in low-density settlements and roaming bands. 500k seems almost shockingly accurate. It takes a lot of infrastructure to get populations booming.
Aw shit, I love Eberron. The lore is so much better than Forgotten Realms, IMO. I just wish that it had the same amount of concrete material that FR has to make DMing in that setting easier.
What's it about? I feel like the Shadow Marches could use a few more "catches" to inspire adventures there. I definitely get the vibe of a backwater, Lovecraftian swamp, but it seems to lack the depth and nuance that the other nations have - at least at surface level. I think the coolest thing I've heard are that the Shadow Marches has some cool, ancient ruins? Like ancient draconic observatories and stuff like that? I'm hoping to run a campaign in the Lhazaar Provinces in a few months, but I'm always looking for ways that other parts of Khorvaire might influence what I'm running.

I know the stories that are written for the sets that take place in those world's, but I think seeing you cover them would be interesting Edit: the Shadow Marches seems like a good place for the origin story of an Aberrant Mind Sorcerer
