What's In This Trunk Is A Little Alarming! 

Several years ago my dad sold my grandmas, his moms 69’ Dodge Coronet. She had bought it new and It had less than 30,000 original miles when passed away in the 1995. Green metallic 2 door with a 318ci. All original, even had the factory installed A/C.. We took it a couple car shows And won a couple awards at one. It was a sweet ole car.

Paul, you remind me so much of my grandfather. He passed away in February of 2020 and was more a father to me than my own dad. Warms my heart to see you treat your kids the exact way I was treated by my grampa. ❤️

"If I could keep my kids out of the shop" - I heard that from my dad growing up. Once I moved out the problem didn't stop, turns out it wasn't just us kiddos. Sooo, good luck with that Paul! hahaha

The rear seat cushion on the 4 door has rounded front corners to make it easier to get in and out. On the 2 door, the front corners are square. Have your upholstery guy make square corners out of foam and you're good.

Several people have chimed in and said they think red and white seats would look very nice as part of the interior of the Coronet...with red stitching on the white parts of the seats. My friends who watch your channel and I fully agree, that color combination would look great in the car.

That 4 door brings back some memories from the mid to late 80's when we would load up my buddy's with 7 or 8 people and go cruising. That perfectly worn shovel and hammer are the tools of an experienced foundation worker.

Mr. Paul. So many times in your video's you either mention, or do, or,... try to do a burnout. So in one of your videos, and in the video of your lighting guy, the aftermath of doing a burnout inside the shop was well, nasty for all who touched anything. So my suggestion is, out beside, behind or somewhere, anywhere, pour yourself a burnout pad. Keep the mess away from your shop area! Go ahead, Do it LOL Thanks for all the fun watching your content.

I was born in 73, would love that license plate!!! I have a few from PA that we’re like that. Before they had stickers, you’d get an entire new plate minted at the local Dept of Corrections…lol

The interior of the 4 door coronet was the same color and configuration as the one I had in 88-89. My great grandma bought it new in 65 and my dad bought it for me from my grandma when I was 16. It was my first car. We had 12 people in it one time going to cruise..lmao. thanks for the walk down memory lane. The shops looking awsome, Keep up the good work.

It's amazing what proper parts can do for an old engine. Seems like the most overseas parts are just a poor imitation of original parts.

Paul, Michelle, Ben, Randle, Alan...We your subscribers LOVE IT when you find, bring home, work on, restore and hop up old cars/trucks (1940's-1980's). We love seeing you drive them, take them to car shows, donate them to charities, raffle them off. Robby Layton loves his old Mopars and old hotrods/ratrods and Matt does stuff with older vehicles as well...it's awesome, please keep doing it on your channel. I imagine you guys know about Derek's "Vice Grip Garage" channel...he grew fast to well over a million subscribers by videoing himself mainly showing his old vehicle finds, gettin' 'em running on location and then driving them home...all 1940's -1980's cars and trucks except for one 1920's Studebaker truck (still way cool). Then he worked on restoring some of them, getting some running/driving decently and giving them away or selling them and making sure they each survive and go on to be used, cared for and appreciated by everyone who comes in contact with them. We Americans LOVE older vehicles and seeing them brought back to life, being restored and seeing them being driven and used. (Michelle, you need a cool older vehicle project of your choosing and you guys should video it being picked up, brought home and worked on until it is a reliable driver you can use whenever. It would be cool to see you drive your own coolmobile sometimes when you go on parts runs, take it to car shows, to meet 'n' greets, to Matt's or Robby's places, etc). Thanks for the old car/truck content...it's a sure winner on your channel.

My dad and I tried to buy a Cornet once when I was younger he Dad died but we never did get it bought. It was pretty cool for a four-door and it had side pipes!

I stopped in a couple of weeks ago to say hi and meet you guys. It was a pleasure. My father was a "shade tree" mechanic and when I was old enough to undo bolts my job was to crawl under and undo the tranny bolts to the engine and all the rest of the stuff you have to do under there. Since then I went on to be a helicopter mechanic in the Coast Guard and up to a few years ago all my own upkeep on my cars. I love watching you guys wrenching away and explaining as you go. Love the give away car as my dad owned a white Dodge corner station wagon with push button gear shift. Keep up the good work.

I do remember on the old Chevy's the windshields/back glass on 4 doors are slightly different than for 2 doors, won't fit. Lots of little details, it's what made working on those old cars so interesting. All the trunks leaked, only kept tools and spare tire in there LOL. Any jackets or clothes you kept in the car proper. We all worked under those cars using bumper jacks, amazing we all didn't get crushed! I kept a couple bumper jacks in my garage, they make good conversation starters now :)

Be a great car for some lucky person. As far as the seats, maybe get 440 embroidered in red on the front seat with red piping??? Love the content 🇨🇦👍👍

It's coming along quite nicely . I remember replacing the sparkies in a 65 Newport , 383 , you have to crawl underneath to access some of the plugs ( the size of my belly at that time made it a lot of fun )

A 426 Hemi in a 66 Cornet. From a district service manager with 5000 miles in 1966 bought for $1500. Bought by a mechanic at my father's dealership. A Sweet car!

I just smile every time I see the old Coronet. So love the old Mopar muscle. A guy feels right at home when seeing your kids leave tools, and used cans laying around. My grandson drove my lawnmower up to the house with a flat tire, only I had to get the bead back on. Kids are no different here in Wisconsin.

Funny, I have that same cheap creeper from Amazon, and the same wheel KEEPS falling off... Despite having used the angry pliers and Loctite

7:24 I was in the Navy for 20 yrs. When you deploy overseas you get all of your food and drinks from sources in other countries. We often got various sodas that still rocked those type of tabs on the top.

It's not ever going to be truly happy with that single-plane intake on it (unless you decide to run aftermarket TBI). Especially if I'm remembering right and that engine came from an RV (way low compression).

I'd go with red stitching and piping. But what are you doing about the door panels

From a quick research, it's not uncommon for these to have an all blue or red interior on the 440 trim level, the 500 trim often had an accent color, often in black for the red cars. So since the interior of this Coronet has red, best to replicate the interior as close to stock as possible. From memory, the 330 trim was the base trim and the vinyl was basic with little padding on the doors, the 440 had more padding on the doors and the seats were ribbed vinyl. The 440 had carpeting, the base models typically had black rubber. This is from what I know and recall from when we had a '64 Dodge 330 wagon with the base 225 slant six and pushbutton automatic, though ours was originally white with a solid blue interior. We'd just repainted it sky blue in 1968 when my parents tired of the white.

I had a 68 Charger with black carpet white seats and head liner. Powder blue white vinyl top. I loved that car, put the windows down seats and headliner would get nasty with dirt. I had to clean the inside every time that I put the windows down. I’ll never buy another white interior again. Love your show,I watch every episode and some twice.😊
