Hi Jessica, great list. My list is long. But what’s in is self care which includes weight-loss, movement and stretching, skin and body care and mental health care. I also want to go out more (I’m a homebody but love going out), traveling more, even short weekend and long weekend trips and reconnecting with family and friends. All of these are priority. What’s out is worry and self-doubt. I am a worrier, therefore this will require work. I can go on and on, but I want to prioritize me this year. Thank you for being transparent and vulnerable. You will get back to it.

Oh that’s right! I knew that! I love the Boogie Down Bronx! Unfortunately I don’t get to visit as often as I would like but I did do a quick run to Liberato for their chicken on my last visit. 😋

yes to buying clothes from marginalized communities, and handmade is truly one of a kind! back from 2014-2017 it was my era of buying handmade clothes, skirts made from bamboo cotton and dyed with flowers, I started making my own clothes/lingerie and really loving that.

Yes! I’m thrilled you agree. I’m also so happy for you that you can make your own clothes. I used a sewing machine in a theatre costume class in college. Unfortunately, I was terrible at it!

I think you’re terrific! I haven’t been subscribed to your channel for long but I am grateful to have stumbled across you. I would follow you to the moon if I had to. We are likeminded individuals in so many ways. I too love original art, in particular paintings and pottery from my travels. I have a piece of pottery from Peru that cost less than $20 Canadian dollars and every time I walk past it in my home, it catapults me back to that country. On another note, I cared for my mom when she was diagnosed with lung cancer and though I was grateful that she lived for nine years following her diagnosis, it was brutal and stressful and an extremely difficult time for me so I hear you. I know the challenges one faces in caring for an aging family member, even if the illness is not terminal. It takes a toll on your mind and body. I’m sure you are stronger than you think though. I have a feeling that your channel will grow by leaps and bounds this year because you are genuine and authentic and your community will be able to see that with each vlog you post. I wish subscribers weren’t so impatient. If you don’t post continuously, they’re on to the next thing. Longevity in this line of work must be difficult especially having to produce so much content just to keep people but in my opinion, quality far outweighs quantity. Life gets in the way sometimes. Give yourself permission to be human. I can tell you that I’m in this community for the long haul! I already appreciate your honesty and openness. You are a gem 💎 in a sea of rocks 🪨 Jessica!

As a fellow caretaker, you know how little complaining or centering ourselves we do. That's why it's so touching to feel seen when we play the "support staff" role. Thank you for that.
