You missed a couple of staples in this small town. After passing the bridge off of 90, there's a beautiful cemetery behind it, is an equally beautiful park and baseball fields. That big red building is called "Share" as of 2019 it was opened and used as a Charity. People could go there and get help with groceries and clothes. Also the smoke house where they make delicious bbq and homemade desserts. My favorite is the chop brisket sandwich and white trash cookies. I'm not joking that's what they're called. 🥴 Lupitas Mexican restaurant is another favorite food spot. Riverside is the first thing you see when entering East Bernard. It is a dance hall and sometimes is used for parties and or reunions. I'm from Wharton Texas not that far from East Bernard. Actually East Bernard is in Wharton County. It's quiet and cozy but extremely family friendly ❤
Thanks Kim. This was definitely one of the slowest/ sleepiest towns I've ever been in making it super hard to try to make the video somewhat entertaining. 😩
Just checked it out on the map and it definitely looks like the type of place I would film. However, it is 6 hours away from me, so I have a lot more towns to cover before I make it out that far. Thank you for the suggestion! 😎
We would only spend short amounts of time there...we did new years eve there 2 years ago and popped fireworks on her dads land....been fishing to a couple spots on the san bernard river (with zero luck), and have driven downtown and ate at DQ@ThisSmallTown
I assume the main building has admin offices and standard classrooms. Across the street looks like more specialized education, like shop classes, band and orchestra, gymnastics, etc.
@@sylviaguerrero9794 since when? The Naiser building has the Ag shop. There wasn’t enough class rooms for a while high school in there when I went to school there
