You will find hotels with that price too. It seems like algubra or alkhwair I guess , but its not bad , you are in a neighbourhood , the omanis are known by thier hospitality and they are very friendly , i wish you enjoyed the country . Peace from Oman
Oman is by far my favourite country, I have never met people so kind, hospitable and caring in my life, the people of Oman are truly incredible. I am determined to visit again one day and see more of Oman, learn more Arabic to have deeper conversations with everyone 🙂
The taxis from the airport are metered and this been implemented years back. I am not sure when was your visit. But, you can request Otaxi or Oman Taxi from the airport. You walked far for the camel meat, while in the building next to your apartment, there is a restaurant called Al Dhafari Taste, it serves camel meat.
Hello my friend, thank you for the information. I found this information online about unmetered taxis so there is a chance it could be outdated now. I originally planned to get the bus as I love traveling with locals and meeting people along the way, but we was removed from the bus by a traffic stop and taken to our apartment directly (I'm still not sure why to be honest haha!) I 100% plan to come back, I loved Oman and the Omani people are incredible, I loved every moment meeting them 🙂 Ohh I wish I had known about the camel meat sooner, we walked for ages to get there but glad we did as that restaurant had the nicest guy ever working there and we spoke a lot about football haha! Thanks for commenting bro, much appreciated! 🙂
hello brother I just wanted to thank you for visiting my country and tell you that no one expects you to hide your tattoo no one gets offended or desrespeted by it. stay safe ❤
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment my brother, Oman was incredible and the people were amazing. I'm truly blessed to have had the opportunity to visit and experience it and plan to return one day as it was a life-changing experience for me. We have never experienced such warmth and hospitality before and are so happy we got to share time and memories with the Omani people 🙂❤️
27:45 I'm not Omani but I currently live in Oman, I instantly recognized the area you're walking in from the mosque in the background with the lighting, I see a small group of tourists once a month taking a look at it from the outside, it's called "Al Ameen Mosque". Nice video
Nice video, public transportation is not very reliable here because most people use their cars "cheap gas + extreme hot weather", thanks for sharing your experience in Muscat, hope you enjoyed it, there is no need to cover your tattoos, no one will get offended it's pretty normal especially for foreigners, hope you come back again, wish you a safe travels wherever you're
Thank you very much for taking the time to comment bro, it's an amazing country and I am already planning on my next trip back very soon, the country of Oman will always be a very important place to us as it was the first video series where the people of the country were very supportive and helpful to us and we'll always be greatful for that 🇬🇧❤️🇴🇲
Not many ppl are really interested to visit Oman😂 but here are few basic tips for those who are interested: 1. Do not visit Oman anytime between June to October unless u go to Salalah or the mountains areas. 2. Public Transport is not reliable at all so get otaxi app is a must for getting around, however, rent out a car is much better as driving in Oman is very simple in addition to the fact that fuel price is very affordable, less than half a dollar for one liter. 3. If u are a group of ppl, u need at least one sim card. Free wifi is no a thing in this country 😂. 4. Oman is a nassive country with various landscapes, mountains, beaches and sands which makes it perfect for hiking and outdoors activities, if u are after night life and parties, Oman is not going to be your paradise 😂. Small note to Garth, the first 10 mins were quite hard to watch😂
Thank you for the tips my brother, and yes I agree the first 10 minutes were way too long and unimportant to the video. I watched it back and promised myself to get more to the point in future videos and all the feedback has been very informative and helpful so it's much appreciated, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment too man ❤️🇴🇲
@@TeamMcGrath no problem at all. Thank u for showing the world new places which the mainstream media tend to neglect. Ppl like u play an important role in changing the stereotype about the ppl in the middle east. I wish u all the best.
I loved this place and will return when I next go to Muscat, no other tourists and everyone there was friendly and kind to us. England and Oman friends forever! 🙂👌🇬🇧❤️🇴🇲
Oman is not typical tourist friendly country... it is either you pay a lot or you go cheap on very planned plan ... sorry guys we tried to push the government and public to improve but not working
We enjoyed every second in Oman bro, we plan to return as it is a country which has had a lasting effect on us. Never have we experienced such hospitality and kindness from people in our lives and although it doesn't necessarily cater to tourists, the people of Oman make it a very special place and somewhere we hold close to our hearts ❤️🇴🇲
That's just the thumbnail, it's from an older video where I have a coat on haha 😁 In the video itself I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt to hide my tattoos (I had the false impression that tattoos were forbidden in Oman). That being said it does get pretty cold at night so I would recommend a light jacket or something if you are out and about during the evening in Oman. This was filmed in January when it is a little cooler than usual too, thanks for watching 🙂
