What's missing working remotely vs in an office? Contained availability

"Contained Availability" is vital to doing good work but most of us haven't found the right forms or norms for doing this remotely. Instead we are uncontained or unavailable. Sometimes both!
In an office this used to look like:
(1) Working side by side
(2) Wandering over
How to replicate remotely? Two quick ideas:
(1) Work alongs - where you use another device to be in a long spacious video chat where you only speak when needed and silence or lack of focus is the norm.
(2) Open zoom rooms - creating a regular "open door" space in which people can drop in for semi-formal chat (hat tip to a really valuable conversation on remote working between Adrian and Barbie: lnkd.in/dsCW7xA)
What other ways of creating contained availability have you seen working in these times? How do you put up boundaries around access? How do you make space for availability?
