Nobody asked but its been awhile!!! We haven't been to homegoods together in forever. I always get asked why don't I go to HG anymore? The answer is in the video but to put it simply... Honestly, once you start buying higher quality items it's hard to go back to commercial mass produced goods. What I love from Homegoods are the handcrafted imported items, usually from Portugal and Spain, and India. The large hand knotted wool rugs and runners can be a great buy.

I think that some fun things can be found at Homegoods, but if you can afford better quality why wouldn't you want it? It's not about being a snob. I find that I don't want the same stuff that everybody else has. I still like a bargain and have been finding some really cool stuff at higher end second hand stores. I love your office, especially the art over your sofa. I love that you waited for the perfect piece, instead of just grabbing something to fill the spot.

Love that you are growing and branching out. We can’t stay at Homegoods forever. Ever now and then it’s ok but evolving is necessary. I think we just all kind of miss the funny commentary and the legendary rug show.

I've been over Home Goods for a while now. l have been shopping at small local store's and have been much happier with my purchases. I like that l support my community and the items that l choose are much better quality and there's not a thousand of them, they're a little bit more unique!!

So this is not directed solely at Arvin, I see a lot of RU-vidrs do this. They initially start out with a theme to attract an audience and followers. Once the money starts rolling in then the channel content changes to attract a different audience because again, that’s where the money is. The feel of this channel is in transition to a different audience.

I live in NW Summerlin & always loved HomeGoods, until it moved to the smaller space. The space isn’t the problem, the quality & smaller inventory is. I still find good deals there, but nothing like the bigger space they had. And girl, stay away the the combined TJ Maxx/HomeGoods, it’s a hot mess. Hey, don’t let the negative comments get you down, you’re learning & growing, & I’m sure I’m not alone when I say, thank you for taking us on this journey of growth with you. Until I subscribed to your channel, I knew very little about rugs, now a read over the labels/tags & NOW,, really know what to look for. Keep up the good work sweet boy & know you are truly appreciated

Haven't stepped inside a home goods, home sense, TJX etc since college - I realized after moving cross country twice that everything I bought was eventually in the trash because it fell apart or I gave it away because it wasn't unique and it just didn't express any aspect of my personality. It takes more time but I like chairish, Etsy, estate sales etc for decor finds 👌🏽 it's actually liberating to eschew the mass consumerism mind set and do your own thing! 😍🎨🖼️

Love the rug show! I’m really happy for all your success - you have helped so much with my home and style. I can embrace loving neutrals - always felt forced to add color to my home even when I hated it! Anyway - know I love you but this video did feel forced- I know target/home goods is where you found your audience but knowing you’re flying to Paris and selling $5000 tables we all know you’re not buying stuff from Homegoods anymore- and that’s ok - move on and enjoy your success. You can afford finer things now after much hard work. I will continue to applaud your success and root you on- and follow some other budget influencers because as a working mom with 3 kiddos I need that kind of inspo! Keep growing & being you.

I think when your taste improves you start wanting the unique and vintage. Better quality items tend to get replaced less often. Maybe you want to think more earthy Xmas decor Arvin. I still haven't been to HG and don't feel a bit deprived.

The Llama!!! The textured desert rose pillow! The travertine table! Those shiny gray face scupltures would look great as a matte cream color.But the straw palm tree-- no. I wish they would carry more than 2 dining chairs of the same kind at any time. Love Arvn dancing in between the rugs!

I've been working at Winners (TJMaxx) for 2.5 years now. We have a small section of the store for the home stuff. But like in the USA, we have another store dedicated to home stuff called "Home Sense" (Home Goods). All of this stuff in your video is familiar to me, and all of your commentary is 100% spot-on.
