Can you make video about metahuman interaction with the world ? Your ninety five days video doesn't have lot of human interaction to showcase the advantages of ue5 in game . Maybe you can collab with Disney to make realistic movie? 🤷. Maybe in the future you guys can make a metahuman without having a va and just ai .

Quixel and Epic have become some of the most beloved companies in the industry for not being greedy and making some of the most powerful tools open and available for everyone. Much appreciation for that! ❤

UnrealEngine and Quixel's MegaScans are pretty great... but I'm not so quick to give their companies such praise... it's in their best interest to make their software readily available and to provide free resources. They make money when developers use their engine to make products that in turn make money. That said, Epic acquired Capturing Reality in 2021 and their RealityCapture software's pricing schema is some silly pay-as-you-go credit based per-pixel system. I am seriously against applications that have a pay-per-use pricing schema when it is using hardware you already own to do the processing. Routers are getting into this pricing model too... For instance, Amazon's Eero Router makes you pay monthly to get features like being able to see a history of your bandwidth usage - data that can easily be tracked and stored locally. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if the RealityScan mobile app remains free when released or if they charge for its use too.

@@andreilow there are other free Tools like this, but they could Charge money for it and could make it unreal exklusive like they have done with other Tools I mean you dont have to pay for there models anyway if you use unreal engine

It does require powerful machine, however Substance runs smooth more than Mixer, I use both.

How can you combine an imperfections texture with a materials existing roughness map, i.e you have a wood flooring material which has a roughness texture that’s correct for where the wood grain is, but you want to add some grime or scratches on top of that to make it look more real. How would you do that in Unreal Engine??

Hi Peter did you find an answer yet? I'm also searching is this in the material.... or do re-create the material. So you would have plastic and on top of that use imperfections (like scracthes_ then export out the textures again.

@@decorix you can use a lerp node in the material. the alpha would control how strong each roughness would be with 0.5 being 50% of each

@@reallygoodgames1172 thanks so much. Can you this with M_MS_Surface_material? from quixel. Anychance of posting a screengrab of the material setup. It used a lot of material functions. From where do you lerp from ? Roughness to ARD then add lerp?

honestly I feel like The rate of at which assets come out right now has slowed down so hard rn its unreal.. please dont miss out on this opurtunity on saving objects forever in a huge library and speed up again

@@visual_chris i see. I've read the quixel FAQ Quixel support: the unreal engine unlimited license is tied to your unreal engine license. as you've accepted the Eula for unreal engine and may use it commercially, so may you use the unreal unlimited megascans license for the same purpose.

What I want to know is how the hell did he 3d scan a metal pot and get perfect topology. photogrammetry is notorious for not being able to work well on reflective surfaces.

We need just one think with UE5, to be able to convert any games into UE5, like converting a jpeg to png on online website... Turning 2012 battlefield 4 frosbite game engine to UE5, with 0 code... If UE5 Manage to do that it will instant worth more than Apple, and be the company that worth the most, period!
