What's Next For The Borderlands Franchise? 

I just want Borderlands 4 to be flawless like Borderlands 2.

The biggest fear I have is they just do the same thing as BL3 with minor changes that dont help the game 😭😭😭

I wish I could trust gearbox. Randy's few last efforts have fallen flat...

I forgot about the Wonderlands comic Gearbox needs to go back to BL1, 2 and TPS, play them and break them down so they can relearn how to make a good game. There are a few things I'm hoping BL4 has: UVHM to come back, OP levels to return (with better balancing), DLC characters instead of extra skill trees, Legendaries actually being rare again, Elemental stacking, The elemental artifacts you can apply to your action skill (instead of having skills to do that), Quicker load times/ smaller maps, Improved characters and a good story, Also just a small thing - I prefer having to go up to someone to turn missions in rather than them turning in automatically, Not too bothered about this one - it'd be cool if lasers returned.

genuinely speaking, all I want is a good artstyle, good performance, good loot mechanics, and satisfying gunplay. But maybe that’s asking too much…

As much as I liked The Calypsos, they were no Handsome Jack. So I guess my wish for BL4, is to give us the QoL and gameplay advancements of BL3 along with a truly powerhouse villain like Jack in BL2.

Honestly the wonderlands comic is fucking stupid especially when we got an entire borderlands comic series that bridges borderlands to borderlands 2. It would be money well spent to revamp all those comic books into one giant book collection because I never got my hands on those books because I was too young to read them. That’s just my two cents and another banger of a video as usual Hellfire.

I seriously just can't wrap my mind around the decision to put a new Tiny Tina's game into development. Mix in the movie (which I'm pretty sure will be a disaster) and the future implications of the New Tales' additions to the canon, whatever is next for Borderlands is likely to be a disappointment if I had to bet on it. It seems like Gearbox doesn't have much of a game plan and they are just making it up as they go. I don't like to be pessimistic, but as a BL fan ever since 2009, it's hard not to be. Mainly because we've just been burned so many times by Gearbox

I just want a good game ...hopefully not infected with SBI and a cool disc version..

It would be great to see any news or trailer for BL4 at any of those events, just so we can see what we are getting down the road.

honestly, i think gearbox would be better off not pumping out games or related content anymore and focus on what the player base enjoys the most. They should take notes from bethesda since people are still playing Skyrim, Fallout 4 and 76 (player counts growing after the TV show) and after the update announce for starfield might get that player count up. ALL while those fans wait for Elder scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 (With fallout 4 being almost a decade old)

With Take Two now owning Gearbox i'm expecting a live service Borderlands game in the future (maybe Wonderlands 2 ?) and i think the best we can hope is that they make the live service part separate from the single player like GTA 5 and Online but either way the future of this franchise is not looking good...

I'm kinda torn here, I'd rather them do what they do best and keep doing that. If these side hustles of theirs turn out to be a good ROI... good isht! I have no interest in these other projects however.

Yes. EchoVision as a Facebook Product has to die. As of today I don't even knew that it existed, because I am proud to say I never had a Facebook account. But knowing that Facebook killed one my favorite Games Space Empires and left the original creator to rot .. and what happend to Command and Conquer. No IP that takes itself serious should be played on Facebook. .. or mobile for that matter. How about a Borderlands Immortal ?

Given the track record, I think BL4 will probably be a live service, micro transaction infused, bloom addled, cringe inducing, narrative mess in line with what most other AAA companies are pinching out these days. Maybe the gun mechanics will be smooth, but who cares when you hate everything and everyone in the game? I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not holding my breath, and until proven otherwise my wallet is closed.

IF borderlands 4 should have something new to loot like armor,weapons parts or more customizable loot stuff , even the grinder from the pre game of borderlands.

The gameplay could be just as good as BL3, if not better. However, if the story and humor sucks, then I'm afraid Borderlands ands a franchise is done for. The humor in BL3 and Wonderlands was really juvenile, moreso than even BL2. The story of BL3 sucked dicks and you can find many videos talking about why.

For me Borderlands died with Borderlands 3. The game is a Woke fantasy devout of anything that made the 1st two cool. Featuring boring villains as well as very annoying new characters, and also, the waste and degradation of the legacy ones. In addition, the game is a migraine-inducing trip designed to send you to the Ophthalmologist with all the over-the-top constant flashes on the screen. I don't have any expectations for BL4. There is no reason to believe this company is any different today. BL4 will like be BL3 part 2!

That's the problem, you can't do anything! They don't listen. Back when BL2 came out, people still listened. The forum was really good. And they reacted directly to the criticism. I don't even know what exactly caused the break, but since then they've had no interest in their community and are actually persecuting critical fans. (Supmatto)
