My heart goes out to these people with this struggle, I can't imagine what that might be like. I also firmly believe that humanity has become obsessed with labels. There is deep psychological need for acceptance in one's tribe, but Instagram is not a tribe. People are more interested in "I'm this or that, or victim of this or that." No one focuses on strength and bettering their actual community (neighborhood, family, friends). We need to eliminate both the aggressors as well as the notion of selling virtue. There are so many who use a label as a way to monetize their virtue in the form of likes e.g. posting their message to the world "I'm this new label, look at my strength". I don't think that's strength. Strength is putting behind the selfishness of how to promote the label and finding something that truly helps humanity and the greater good, namely one's tribe.

That is very true. I blame social media and economic issues. I was always someone that avoided social media like the plague. I searched inside myself as you said, and over time, I gained confidence that way. Now I don't care what anyone thinks about me and it gives me power. I'm now looking at social media as a tool to help people, in order to ultimately fix the economy. There's good and bad in everything. We can use a hammer to build or destroy, but one things is certain: once the hammer is there, it will be used for something. We best use this social media to build, lest someone else use it to destroy.

Thank you for this perspective, Rabbi. You are much more sensitive and kinder in your words than I could be. This issue took my sister from our family. Some butcher, who called themselves a doctor, convinced my sister that she could be a man. She just had to get chopped up and filled with drugs. Six months later, she killed herself in a roid rage. This madness has to end.

Dear Rabbi, I hope this message finds you well. I want to express my gratitude for the peace that your teachings bring to many, this includes transgender individuals. While they make up less than 0.8% of the population, their struggles are often magnified by societal attention. Encountering transgender people in daily life is extremely rare. It's unfortunate that some people fetishize them, often those are who end up causing them the most pain. Transgender individuals possess a unique perspective, having lived both male and female lives. If we really are spiritual beings on a physical journey, it's worth contemplating why the expression of one's physical self matters so much, especially when it usually originates from the spirit. We all deserve to show a level of acceptance and love for each person's chosen path of self-expression. I have always found your teachings to be enlightening and comforting. However, I must admit that my heart was heavy with some of the remarks you made. As a man who cherishes my relationship with my transgender wife, I've gained invaluable insights from her journey. Her family's unwavering love and support, along with my own, have shown me the beauty and benefits of embracing her true self. In your teachings, you often emphasize the importance of love - love for the Creator and love for His creations. This sentiment resonates deeply with me. I believe that extending this love to all individuals, regardless of their journey or self-expression, is the ultimate way to truly understand and appreciate the diversity of our world. Thank you for your wisdom, and I look forward to continuing to learn from your teachings. With respect and gratitude💙

Thank you for another great talk. I’m glad you brought this up. As a gay female I’ve never wanted to be a male. At 58 I still work on balancing my feminine and masculine energy.I didn’t know what to do with that at 15. It was a forbidden topic in the 70s. I feared I was damaged. I feared everything. I wonder what insane choices I would have made if I had been 15 yr old in 2023! At such a tender age, fear is a great motivator. The information overload times we live in seems dangerous at times. What 15yrs old is happy? The options are endless for a quick fix from Rx to gender reassignment. Mental wellness should be our #1 priority but in my lifetime it’s been a butt of many jokes. Meanwhile we hid the mental illness. I hope I see change. Thank you again for all your encouragement and enlightenment ❤

I'm straight myself yet find love amongst and understanding very much through people who aren't. It's a bit difficult though as they like myself have challenges which I listen to and try understanding. I think perhaps humanity needs to accept love and that's that no matter what individuals decide.

I am a psychic and a medium. I have battled a 7 year spiritual warfare. In a past life, the roles of this spiritual warfare were reversed. I was the man, my ex husband the woman. The 3rd physical dimension we exist in as human beings and the cosmic laws that bind this reality is the Ying and Yang! Opposite v Positive Dark v Light There are only 2 genders period!! In the etheric and astral realm gender does not exist as we travel in our light bodies. If a woman love another woman and a man loves another man that’s wonderful, however the ‘science’ of gender change is a whole other agenda I won’t get into here. Thank you for the content, I appreciate your work. 🙏 💜🌎💚

I do believe it is the individuals choice to make a decision to do as they feel is right. Sometimes those decisions do not bring us happiness. I also believe our Lord God excepts anything we choose for ourselves, for he gave us that right. Yes we all have feminine and masculine sides to us. Learning to balance that, is a challenge for us all! I too have had friends that have made the choice to change their gender to the opposite from which they were born. Their challenge now is to live in a world full of people who are judgemental, that is a challenge in it's self, which brings them sadness. Thank you for your message, well said!

Rabbi Simon, I have been spiritually growing and I am trans and queer. All of my life I have been seen as an other and my trans and queer peers ostracized due to lack of understanding. So often we are seen as unhappy or butchering our bodies. I believe deep in my heart God recognizes my soul, and this is my spiritual journey as a trans person. It wasn't until I embraced being trans and loving myself that I was able to fully embrace him and my spiritual journey through self love. I am at peace with my gender as a trans person, even if my sex does not fit what others to assume would be what my gender should be. In trans joy I have seen light and happiness, motivation and the desire to help fellow humans. I have sought to learn more and a hunger to study Midrash and the Torah. It saddens me sometimes, feeling like I dont belong when my desire is just to connect with what I view to be our unique God. So much of what you say resonates with me, but unfortunately this had me initially turned away. The pain of the focus of people being unhappy. So many people do not speak to us, I feel like there is so much to learn even spiritually through trans and queer peers. We are merely a part of our fathers unique diverse design. I wish you well, and may you be blessed.

It's wonderful to see other trans people commenting with their experiences, because our voices need to be heard. Cisgender people are so quick to have opinions about us but then never even think to ask us in good faith about how we actually think and feel. How much better the world would be if people would ask from a place of curiosity and desire to understand rather than to make up reasons they think make sense to justify their own fear of the unknown.

@AZ-ty7ub
@AZ-ty7ub 10 месяцев назад
@@Calamity_Leo Sometimes accepting yourself means accepting that trying to live as something your heart hates for the sake of pleasing others and fitting in isn't the right thing, and that accepting yourself means following your heart. Also, is that how you treat everyone who you perceive as having some kind of mental struggle? That's so mean. I hope you've been treated better than that.
@inkeed
@inkeed 10 месяцев назад
@@Calamity_Leo I can only tell you my own perspective. I am Trans and actually had several miracles happen in my life. I have been searching for a community to safely explore my spirituality/religion and the unfortunate truth is many people do not accept me. My goal is actually to build bridges and spread joy to others. Some people look at me with disgust or assumptions before getting to know me. I accept the body I have, but I view it more like taking care of the gift given to me vs. hurting my body when receiving healthcare. To be happy and free in my body, to express and enjoy the life given. A lot of the reasons why trans people turn away from religion or spiritual connections is due to the way we are ill received. The big misunderstanding is we accept ourselves in self love, not self hatred. But the focus of a lot of discussion is around how we loathe our bodies. On the contrary for me, taking care of my body as a Trans person and receiving the care necessary helps my depression, anxiety and overall has increased my health. I know I cannot convince people, especially under certain assumptions. However, I hope you find yourself well. Life is fleeting, and to anyone reading, I wish you all well included!

It’s a complicated issue. I too believe that God doesn’t make mistakes, but God makes us all differently and puts us through a unique set of challenges to assist in the development of our souls. I know a some transgender people who are deeply unhappy and have always been so, and I know some who you would never even know are transgender who are now happily married with kids in the suburbs. I also understand this somewhat as a lesbian woman. When I was growing up, I was a afraid I would never be happy because everyone around me told me that gay people never were. Even the movies and TV shows made for us portrayed only deeply unhappy people with dysfunctional relationships and broken lives. I didn’t want all the meaningless sex and serial monogamy that was supposedly a defining feature of “gay culture”; I wanted a deeply loving, committed, lifelong relationship. This is what I intentionally sought out, and 12 years ago, I met the woman who would become my wife. We went on our first date just a few days before my birthday and I don’t think that was a coincidence. Every day, she teaches me more about love and inspires me to be a better version of myself. As with anything, there are good and bad ways to express one’s sexuality, gender, religion, etc. and anything done recklessly can cause significant harm. But those trying their hardest to make the best of whatever hand they were dealt should be given a bit of grace. In the end, we all really just want same things: love, acceptance, and belonging.
@limitisillusion7
@limitisillusion7 10 месяцев назад
I can't help but think that there's a deeper catalyst to this whole LBGT movement. People who identify with the community are generally not good at reproducing right? I think that's a fair conclusion to make. Could it be our genes expressing themselves in order to ease population growth? People need love, otherwise they get reckless. That recklessness rolls through humanity like a plague through violence and war. If there are so many helpless children living in poverty without love, then from an evolutionary standpoint, it would make sense for to men seek men, and women seek women in order to fulfill their need for love without bringing more children into the world. Then perhaps those LBGT couples could adopt the influx of helpless children. I'm not particularly religious (more of a philosophical omnist), but I would like to think there's some divine, evolutionary calling for unity and unconditional love that is growing throughout humanity right now. I know that feeling is very real in my heart at least.

I think everyone's perspective matters especially our elders. It doesn't mean I agree with everything they say but i concider everyone's opinion. It's how I form my own. I think all paths lead to the same thing. I couldn't care less who you sleep with or what you do to you genitals. I don't feel it necessary to push it down everones throat though. Everyone wants to be seen, how you do that is up to you. I hope we can live in harmony, that's all that matters to me.

Who’s pushing what down anyone’s throat???? Isn’t that normal to see people kissing on tv???? But because it’s two people w same gender it’s a problem now???? Lmfao we’ve always existed, they even murdered us. Our feelings are just as valid as your uncomfortableness. Remember, normal is only normal to what you’re exposed to consistently. Now we are more open w it because it’s illegal to make it a hate crime.If you’re here learning spirituality, you need to tweak your perspective even deeper. Go back further to science and the concept of Light energy and even DNA and genetic gambles. Estrogen created testosterone to change sperm (makes it swim because the womb has high PH levels), and yet testosterone was created for strength to survive the physical world. This is a deeper convo that even aligns to Adam and Eve as men was created from LIGHT (the same stuff that created earth) and Eve was created from Adam- our biggest disservice as humans is forgetting we come from evolution and our current forms wasn’t placed here all of a sudden- we were plants and dinosaurs and mammals that finally could talk when we stood up (our throats created the L shape that allowed us to form vowels) All to multiply what we need- energy. The duality of nature has always existed. We perverted it to control resources.

Thank you Rabbi Simon, this talk reminded me of the Buhdda, who said that Identity is Ego, and maintaining an Ego-Identity is separation and therefore suffering. Modern society encourages Ego and pushes for identity separation whether it's to sell products, or politics, there is huge value in encouraging identity confusion. I like what you said that We are as we are meant to be, and I like to think our souls chose the lives we find ourselves in, in order to experience the trials and joys of the life we lead. I think that people who might have been meant to be Gay or Lesbian are now encouraged to make physical changes to their body that might be better accomplished by making changes to their relationships or the influences they are surrounded by. For some, transgender might be the right choice and the adventure their soul chose, but I cannot help but notice this issue has been pushed hard by corporate and political interest more in the last ten years, than by spiritual leaders which make me question the authenticity of some of these pressures and the gender confusion it is causing.

I transitioned over ten years ago, and I haven't regretted it for a moment. I truly believe with my heart and soul that Gd created me this way, that Gd wanted me to have this perspective, to be able to intimately know both aspects of male and female in my soul in ways most people will never- and as it's played out in my own life, I truly believe I am a happier, more confident, more loving person now than I could have ever been if I never transitioned. Pre-transition me was constantly plagued by deep, dark depression, terrible anxiety, I could barely leave the home or look at myself in the mirror. Pre-transition me would never have been able to predict the amount of joy I could find in my life. Transition saved me. I am blessed. A small number of people regret it (very small), and transitioning definitely doesn't solve all of your problems, but I don't see being trans as a curse or punishment or anything like that. It has allowed me to rediscover my relationship with Gd in a way so much fuller with life and love than ever before. I deeply respect you dear Rabbi and your videos have brought me a lot of peace, and while I know you come with this with nothing but concern, I am happy. No one can take that from me or convince me it was wrong. Blessed are you Hashem, who has made me transgender.

So inflating it even higher to 10%, how many medical treatments and say they have a 90% success rate? That's nigh miraculous. I do think medical transition is something to be very seriously considered and not rushed into, but we need to acknowledge the vast majority who have their lives dramatically improved by it shouldn't have to pay for the small percentage who don't (I know that's not what you were saying but it's what a lot of people believe). Nose and breasts jobs, knee and hip surgeries, have regret rates far higher than medical transition yet the stigma around those don't exist because they don't challenge society's thoughts on who people should and shouldn't be.

Thank you for your standing the ground with compassion. I nor my family deals with this issue. I try to understand but i have rights too. May I provide some facts. My son has a friend born female, but her actual um chemical or hormones are male. She was miserable for many years. She has not changed herself biologically but her appearance. This is an actual medical condition that was discovered when she was a young child in the 80s. However, it is very, Very rare. Also I learned recently, in a presentation about health and hormones. I believe she was a PhD not an MD. She stated that women who took birth control for years, passed on high levels of estrogen to their male babies. She explain how the birth control causes the reproductive system to change a woman body to . . . . Etc. This is what has caused too much estrogen to pass on to some male fetus. I think her name was Barbara O'Neil. She passed away recently.

I want a perfect body, make me a man!" people are brainwashed into thinking that men have to play with trucks and girls have to play with dollies, or that they can't be gay - not that they are in the wrong body!!!! of course if a man wants a job these days he'd better go get some snipping done.

Gender is supposed to be a way to generally frame and honor our most effective functions based on our given sex. The forms we are born into have functions that are different between given bodies. Gender roles are meant to highlight those things, honor them, and be an effective and efficient way for a person to know themselves. Gender is a tool we have developed throughout history. It reflects how each sex in its unique natures functions, different hormones etc. and how to make sense of each general nature effectively in life. Though not physical, culturally it should not be rejected because of outliers. It does not mean women should be put into humiliating roles, or can not be leaders or have conviction, or that men can’t express their feelings or have sensitivity. It means that as a tool it has proved its worth through human history, as such demands more respect than some have given it, treating it as "illusion" or simple sexism. When people call themselves whatever they want, these tools lose their function because their meaning becomes corrupted. Our identities are as much for us as they are for the world around us, because we do not exist in a vacuum, but as a functioning piece of the world we live in. It is like a man wearing a bra, yes he can wear one, but what a bra is designed for does not honor him like it does to the form of a woman. Gender is the same way.

I wanted to add more thismorning but was on my way to work. What I liked the most about this video is the attention to things that happen in formative years, but more than that, after ppl make adjustments especially with regards to sexuality, the pain and disconnect that comes along with it and feeling abnormal while at the same time adamantly rejecting what is perceived as normal. Maybe something traumatic happened and that otherwise normal state is a source of pain because they dont know what to do with that pain, and they cant find ppl who they can trust to sort that pain out. I never felt homosexual or a sex other than my biological sex but I definitely had sexual confusion growing up. What seemed so natural for others was an impossible hurdle for me and made me extremely insecure. It wasnt a goal of mine to end up that way. And the more ppl didnt understand, the more a sense of normalcy seemed a distant fantasy and maybe even exacerbated my abnormalcy. Thanks again for the clarity
@jjtrades7186
@jjtrades7186 10 месяцев назад
In addition, the abnormalcy may make false accusations more believable because, well, theres abnormalcy there, and I think untrained ppl sometimes exploit those vulnerabilities without even realizing it. @@Johnwickstv I often see cisgender people say this, "just try to accept it, you'll be happier in the long term", but it just tells me they know nothing about the reality of what it is to be trans. I tried so hard, for over 20 years, to just "accept myself". That one day "it'd go away". It got worse every year. And considering I had suicidal thoughts at the age of six, that should tell you something about how my life was trying to live as a girl. After I transitioned, I finally came to life. Life was no long surrounded by a frame of death and despair, but finally, finally had color and meaning. Ten years later I'm so happy I transitioned. Is my life perfect? No, but at least I have a life. I don't think I would still be here if I hadn't been able to transition. This is a very challenging issue because God placed people here with identification issues. Is it good for people with identity issues to spread their ideas into society? Probably not. Yet we are supposed to believe that their issues do not need help, it's just the way they are. Very difficult. I beleive gratitude is an extremely powerful force. It's natural that the creator would bring more help and positivity into our lives when we are grateful. It's logical and it's scientifically proven gratitude helps a range of issues. The thing I find disappointing is when people say I'm not grateful for this body, I want to change it to a different sex. Can you imagine how you would feel if you gave someone the gift of life and they said that. Especially when so many people are born into this world with physical problems, a healthy person says I want to change gender I'm not happy with the life I've been given. It's very sad. But at the same time God has put these people here, what is the reason?

After coming out as trans I've been a good influence on my friends. Not only am I happier, as any person should. But I can see both sides of the coin, if you will. As such I've helped some with their relationships and others with their view of themselves as either man or woman. Studies have shown that transgender brains are morphologically more like the gender the person identifies with than with their biological gender. But their not exactly like a the other gender. That is a trans woman's brain is more similar to a woman's than a man's, but no entirely so. Maybe we can see this as a bridge of sorts. Maybe that's why God does this. Just a clarification. I don't seek to change my sex. That's imposible. My body will remain forever male. What transgender people seek to do is express themselves as the gender they identify with, and be respected for that and not hurt. Some don't even seek physical changes. And some seek changes that are nothing compared to what some people do to their bodies to comply with beauty standards. So milage does vary a lot. Also I was very content with my life. It is a good one. But being transgender causes this sense of detachment from oneself as one part of me wants to be something society "doesn't allow". I didn't change gender because I was unhappy with my life. I changed it because I want to enjoy it fully and transitioning enabled that.

From what I gather there is no single definition to explain the origins of homosexuality. It is a socially constructed concept that is open to interpretation by its participants. Every individual who identifies as LGBTQIA does so for different reasons as they all do not share commonality. Some are involved in a particular LGBTQIA lifestyle due to the X or Y chromosome being blocked from attaching itself to the fetus it is meant to attach itself to, (I read that in a scientific report) Still others are turned out as kids by same sex adults and mistake their sexual abuse for their sexuality, others are turned on to the lifestyle taking it on as trendy, perversion, being turned out in prison, then there are those who identify as straight that get involved with LGBTQIA types when they can't find a mate of the opposite sex but when they do they leave their LGBTQIA partners. The LGBTQIA community is a result of the social construct in response to heterosexuality. Westernized white society is purposely set up to be dualistic, working on the premise of chaos and disorder, psychological and physical warfare. All aspects of the social construct and the varying lifestyles that derive from it are left open to interpretation for the participants of each which is why one thing can mean many different things to different people. It's a way to keep a particular conversation alive that is beneficial to the survival of the society in some way shape and form. The social construct is in control of the minds of the people who live in it whereas the people never think for themselves because they don't know how.

My “reasons” for being a lesbian is that I couldn’t feel anything for the men I dated nor even kiss them without feeling sick to my stomach. Meanwhile, I fell very hard and fast for women and never had any similar issues with physical intimacy. For context, I was never raped, never sexually abused, never had an abusive relationship with a man, and my parents were and still are happily married heterosexual couple who raised four children in a religious environment. I am 33, have been with my wife for 12 years, and we are still in love. I do not believe it would have benefited anyone, especially any children I might have brought into the world, for me to have gone against my own intuition and self-awareness and married a man just to conform to social expectations. I cannot imagine how much misery it would have brought my perspective husband to be married to a woman who felt like she was being raped every time he made love to her. I can’t imagine what a disservice I would’ve done to my perspective children by exposing them to such an unhappy marriage. And while it grieves me that I cannot have children with my chosen spouse, I have accepted it. You can theorize all you want about the origins of homosexuality and homosexuals, but you will never have a perfect understanding of it, nor any complete grasp on why we’ve made the choices we’ve made. We are not that different from you. Like everyone else, we want to be deeply loved and accepted by someone in our lives. I am blessed enough to have found that in my own marriage; I can’t say the same for a lot of my straight friends.

@@j.robertson9025 You can theorize all you want about the origins of homosexuality and homosexuals, From what I gather there is no single definition to explain the origins of homosexuality. You obviously can not tell the difference between theorizing and observation. You also are clueless of what a social construct is and how the lifestyle you live derives from it. In essence you identify as a socially constructed concept as opposed to who you really are and that is a soul having a human experience based on whatever reasons you have. We are not that different from you. If you are a shape shifting alien from another planet ah then hell yeah you are different from us earthlings. Ahahahaha. You can only speak for you not every single LGBTQIA person out there because you don't all share the same views and or experiences. The social construct we live in is responsible for creating social division with regards to socially constructed lifestyles that are pit against one another. Individuals within those lifestyles are pit against one another. Even within the assorted socially constructed lifestyles each individual participant has their own way of seeing it and reason why they are a part of it. That applies to all westernized people and the socially constructed lifestyles they choose to live. Here is something lots of people do not take into consideration and that is not all effeminate men are gay and not all masculine women are lesbians contray to what LGBTQIA people say about such individuals and yet the latter are guilty of stereotyping the former. I will never get a grasp of a socially constructed lifestyle that is one based on a shaky and unstable foundation like all the other westernized socially constructed lifestyles that are all based on playing pretend.

Since you have spoken on reincarnation what if the true transexuals have strong ties to the past life and they were a different sex at that time and that is what is causing the confusion? Thank you? I understand your belief in we are placed in the proper body, and I can see that some people might have regrets but couldn't the regret or questioning of their choice be from all the controversy and judgement from others be making them question it? When we love our neighbors as ourselves is it unconditional to cause them doubt pain and distress? Or are we to accept the person within and not the cover? I feel pain from seeing others in distress and pain and I know that I have only my limited experiences to make decisions and choices. Are we all not one of the whole. So, if someone else is in need why do we not share and help one another instead of building wealth and separating ourselves from our neighbors because of differences? I am far from perfect I have passed judgement on people and hurt myself and regretted it and been easily fooled by some and regretted it, but I take the blame for my actions and have tried to learn from them. I am sure there are tons of things I have not seen that exist. But I don't believe everything written or spoken is true or real because all men are able to make mistakes, and some are driven by greed and power. And I find if your first drive is not love for others it is not of God. There are a lot of broken people in this world and I am one.

OMG, why did I pick this video to watch? I absolutely cannot watch it. However, based on the first 42 seconds that I did watch, I will make a comment. My comment will undoubtedly reflect my inability to understand this situation, what people live with who exist in this situation, and my totally uninformed unknowledgeable background in this matter. My comment: ------- ?Why do people let themselves, be defined by others, by tribes, by religions, by cults, by structures, by societal levels/stratus/statuses, media? ?Why do people focus on those things, did their concerned parents inflict that upon them? ?Why do people compare themselves to 'others'? ?Why not be yourself? And, I'm assuming being yourself is, not stealing, not hurting others, not scamming - if you get my drift. So, not the societal norm, as a very young boy maybe you picked the dolls and makeup to play with. Or, not the societal norm, as a very young girl maybe you picked the trains and building blocks to play with. ?Why don't parents let and encourage their children to develop what their interests are, attain their worth, value, happiness and place in society, being themselves? Children, allowed to flourish and grow, find their niche in the world and attain success and happiness. Their place in society may not be the place mis-concerned narrow selfish parents desire for their children. The Powers That Be, with love, created these children. ?What makes a person believe that they need to mutilate their given bodies to 'fit-in' and have a particular appearance? Also, I've seen statistics indicating the majority of sex-changers eventually regret their decision, given that those statistics were accurate. The Powers That Be, created these children, and what was the reason for their creation? Why cannot people expand their horizons, accept others for who they are, stop being scared by difference, stop the vileness, stop the natzi-ness, stop the supremacist persecution, stop self righteousness, just stop, stop, stop. Hey-sus Christie! Oy-veh! Gimme a break! I get so riled up about certain kinds of people and how they insist on destruction. ----- Oh yeah, and what say you about women in fields typically defined as masculine fields such as the sciences, engineering, mechanics, etcetera. And what say you about men in fields typically defined as feminine fields such as nursing, beauticians, child caregivers, etcetera. ----- And so I apologize for my disorganized rant. I regret that I may have offended, I regret narrowness, I regret many goings-ons. Upon occasion, under certain awarenesses, I regret that The Powers That Be placed me here on this nasty Earth. Or, is it that for some currently unfathomable reason I deliberately chose to be here on this godforsaken planet. Going to get back to my little corner of this world where Rabbi Simon Jacobson doesn't rile me up and make me look at things I'd rather not look at ----- May everyone everywhere live lifes of peace, love, kindness, and fairness for all, as defined in The God Dimension.

If you say "It's okay" after someone tried or did something, is that encouraging ? To me it sounds like a let down, like you can give up now, as it didn't matter anyway. But these things do matter and a lot. I mean you shouldn't just settle with a sexual preference description (or any other) as your identity and core of persona. You shouldn't even say I'm this and I'm that, because nobody actually is the things and ideas itself and nobody certainly shouldn't try to be. Believing into such man-made complexes is the very idea of idolatry.

@@bofig23 No? I'm not sure why you think that or what made you think that's what I said aside from you've already decided being gay or trans is a dead-end? Speaking from my own experience, becoming who I've always known myself to be has allowed me to grow and blossom. I become a kinder, more intelligent person every year, at least I strive to be. Pre-transition me was mentally and emotionally dead, there was no growth to be had, and believe me, I tried. I was not "okay" in any sense of the word. "Okay" in this sense being in a place where growth is possible, where you are not constantly struggling to stay afloat for fear of drowning. Again, I don't know where you're getting this idea from, but it'd serve you better in life to not make such poor faith assumptions and ask questions from a place of curiosity and desire to better understand your fellow human rather than to scorn them based on your own presuppositions.

My own thoughts on the matter is that the creator or whatever you want to call it set up the programming, or machinery of the Universe in part for the purpose of keeping itself in the dark as to how things will play out and to force use to grow independent. The result is you got dudes that are into chicks, dudes that are into other dudes, dudes that got issued the wrong meat suit whenever they came into the world, and similar issues play out with chicks, but even so people need to have a healthy understanding of themselves and their motivations.

Besides, it is very dangerous to try to re-create what GOD created in HIS HOLY IMAGE! It is medically dangerous and an abomination! PLEASE REPENT and ask my LORD to help you! Please do not become isolated and depressed about this! Many have sadly taken their lives because their own families have shut them out! This is also a sin, we need to always forgive or we will not be forgiven. Families need to be firm but supportive, this is not an easy balancing act! It is our sinful nature which rebels against a HOLY and PERFECT GOD! I love you all and this breaks my heart and more than you could possibly know! Estrogen created testosterone to change sperm (makes it swim because the womb has high PH levels) , and yet testosterone was created for strength to survive the physical world.

It's called our sinful nature. We we're created by God male and female and it was not just good but very good. But since Adam and Eve and the eating of the forbidden fruit. We have been born into sin with a leaning and a bent and a propensity a inclination towards sin. Twisted and perverted goodness.

Rabbi, if you think trans people can not be sure they are a man or a woman, because everyone is a little of both, then you would be comfortable living as a woman? I think you feel pretty sure about being a man, even though you have both feminine and masculine traits

I think he is saying just that. If God had created him as a woman he would have accepted that role. Since he was created as a man he accepts that role. I understand him saying is that God does everything for a reason and has a purpose for everyone. If He created you one way, do the best with it. I do agree that there are times where we have to do our due diligence and change aspects of ourselves. God gave us the ability to do so. Maybe some trans people need to use that ability to change their body? Who knows these are big questions....

As a cisgender man, I have the perspective of knowing that those who claim to speak for God or who claim to understand God do not. I see one group who would do harm to others, and another group who do no harm to others, and so my position on this matter is clear. I choose to side with the faction of society that does no harm, the side which the overwhelming majority of psychological and psychiatric professionals support. Trans rights are human rights, and I'm glad we live in a secular nation. Messy though it may be, it's much better than theocracy by miles and miles.

The problem with taking a stance for those "who do not harm" is that they will eventually start harming, then killing "those who harm" in their view, justifying their actions as for some greater good. It is impossible not to harm, so be aware what you actually stand for. Your actions speak louder than words. Look at the real consequences of your actions, and you will know what you actually stand for. And you might not like it, hopefully...

My gay roommate believed he was gay because he didn't relate to his macho brothers and father. He liked baking and the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" and so his brothers kept saying: "Bro you're so gay. You're so gay bro!" Eventually he just thought that was true. So the entire reason he became gay was because he like to bake. Had a female friend back in high school who had a hard relationship with her mom. Her mom eventually committed suicide. Shortly after she started dating women. I think to seek female love she did not receive from her mother. Had a trans friend who was born a woman but started transitioning to a man in college. She talked about how she didn't really like her mom and her brother went into psychosis. I think the combination of not relating to her mom and identifying more with her brother and her brother getting psychosis made her want to surrogately become the man of the house. As there was a lack of masculinity in the home. So she 'manned up.'

There's a remedy for many of those ailments: Find a job, start a family, raise children. You won't have the time to mull over your sexual identity. And when your child for the first time says "Papa!" to you (or "Mama!") the matter is settled. Nothing is more powerful and more precious. In rich societies boredom and loneliness are on the bottom of most problems. But tell this a woke person. Greetings from Germany!

I think this compared to everything else that I have heard and watched from you is overly simplistic. While good intentions, pure intentions, you can look in history for example, the Native Americans, who always admitted and excepted five genders: heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality transgender, and I guess what they would call fluid these days, so it is nothing new what is no is the pollutant or behavioral societal parts that you mentioned but that’s just part of the picture

Simplistic isn’t a bad thing it means that the material will be far more digestible for fiat more individual and that means the reach will go father. Complicating ideas isn’t particularly accessible

Given that you're a deep thinking man, Rabbi, I hope your introspection has led you to realize you could be wrong about this. Especially given the plethora of medical, and psychological evidence that supports gender dysphoria as a real phenomenon. Additonally, all the major medical and social scientific professional organizations, of which many people of faith are part of, disagree with you on this issue. And believe it's a reductionistic view of a very complex issue.
@limitisillusion7
@limitisillusion7 10 месяцев назад
This might be the first time I've disagreed with you. I believe there's a deeper catalyst of this gender dysphoria, in the same way that there's a deeper catalyst to addiction, loneliness, depression, anxiety, or any other societal disorder or abnormality. But even labeling these things as disorders or abmormalities is misleading, because as they become more common and we fail to solve them, they become normal. I consider these "disorders" responses to stress, or even warning signs of deeper societal issues. But i don't want to paint the people who suffer from these problems as sick, because then we treat them without solving the underlying catalyst. I think these societal ills are natural responses to environmental problems. When we paint them in a bad light, it creates the perception that we need to fix the individuals carrying the ills, rather than environment that is creating the ills in individuals. In that sense, it's the environment that is sick. I wouldn't actually consider gender dysphoria a sickness if the gender transitions didn't remove our reproductive capacity. But then again, maybe a diminishing reproductive capacity through a growing LBGT movement is a response to an environmental shortcoming. Maybe our genes are expressing themselves in such a way that recognizes an unstable environment and the LBGT movement is serving as a natural form of birth control. We can look at other ways that humanity in the first world is losing its reproductive capacity too. Young men and women are dating less and having less children. Loneliness is through the roof. It seems to me that gender dysphoria and the LBGT movement as a whole is part of a larger overarching pattern of reducing reproductive capacity, rather than an isolated phenomenon.

Trans people can and do have their own biological children though. I've been on testosterone for over ten years but as per my last checkup my uterus and ovaries are still viable. It's a myth that medical transition causes people to be sterile. It effects transgender women more, but if they freeze their sperm then it's less of a concern. I know many post-transition trans people with their own biological children.
