What is really standing in the way is human susceptibility for errors of thinking. One knows at this time that with molten salt reactors that lengthy buriel of radioactive waste is really no such thing. That 95% of the energy is left in the waste. The waste can then be transmuted into more energy and changed into much shorter buriel times. Also some radioactivity seems to help our immune systems be better and that radioactivity is not the bad thing it was considered to be for so long. Management is the key to responsible use and to move from fossil fuels to a thorium nuclear future is by far better for humanity. By far.
