In this video I go over the team in Transformers I hate the most. You can follow me on Twitter for show updates: / perspectiveend Music: Zaza - Be Together
Lol I enjoyed prime wheeljack. Yes he is douchy but his whole character arcs are about showing he actually does have compassion and he learns to be less douchy. If you don’t like that he isn’t smart then tfp ratchet compensates by being a smart character with more character traits then “he’s smart, and makes stuff, and uhhhh”
@@hassanrao470 Yes, I love Prime Ratchet, but there can be more than one smart person in a room. The point is that we smart folks don’t get many smart characters to appreciate and Wheeljack is supposed to be one of them. Imagine if Ironhide became a nerd, exempt there are plenty of tuff fighters still on the team.
@@vickerandflips8061 I mean I think their designs are hideous but that's what I think about all Bayverse designs, can't really say anything else about them because I' given up watching those movies before they were ever a thing.
I honestly think the Wreckers should be split into two units. A truly elite unit lead by Springer and has the best of the best and the actual Wreckers, lead by Impactor, who are basically shock troops and have their notorious high casualties of random nobodies (like Rack and Ruin)
Many seem to dislike Gen. Whirl for being too G1 for IDW fans, but with enough IDW to bother the G1 purists, but that's why I love it. I enjoy a lot of the G1 design, but it's such a boring stick figure in robot mode, so the IDW-derived elements in the head and legs added so much interest for me, without going into the full freakshow of the comic design.
Being just enough IDW to annoy the Geewunners, and not enough IDW to please the IDW fans is probably exactly the sort of thing Whirl would want his figure to be. That said it's still part of the reason I ended up going for MMC Turben to be my Whirl. It's not the MTMTE design, but the Stormbringer design is close enough for me.
Preaty much.... But those are supoustu be Autobots.... The supoused "Good guys"... Not the team of sick in the head villains, killers, Mercenaries, and who knows what eals... But besides that yea, preaty much the same thing.
Just so you know with Kup, flatbed pickups do exist in real life, and they’re meant to be utility vehicles, their bed is flat so it can support tools like crane arms, spare tires, as well as help tow other cars, and usually their loads are tethered down
What's the advantage not having a tail gate confers, cause I feel like losing to the ability to not need to strap stuff down is a serious disadvantage .
Who say's they're not a boy, girl, or baby, what are you ageist? A baby can't know about cars? God you should take a look in the mirror and see the darkness in your soul.
@@PerspectiveEnd they’re meant for carrying oversized loads, in additon they’re vital when it comes to both towing through carrying cars and agriculture through shipping large bags of soil and other things of the sort, and like I said, loads are often strapped down with reinforced metal harnesses to keep them from sliding off
It's actually 1.5. And I do it for many reasons, the first of which being that I watch all my videos at 1.5 to 2X speed because I don't like wasting my time, and if I respect my time like that, then I want to respect your time the same.
I can see why do you don’t like the wreckers. I don’t really love them or hate them but I’ve always just interpret the Wreckers as the group that’s always just stuck with the messy jobs and are loss cannons because of it.
You know I kind of find you the funniest during the what's the best mainly because watching you talk about multiple figures in under 10 minutes is a fun concept
What's funny is that's not the express goal but it is how it works out. I try to keep the videos short to make sure people don't look at them and think they don't have time for it now. Then end result is that the Whats the bests tend to get a bit rushed. Typically they wouldn't be like that if I weren't such an endless windbag who goes on and on be fore and after the reviews start during the videos.
Generations Springer is the best wrecker and still one of the best hasbro figures ever made. Plus it was shares nick roches design. & mmc impactor & mmc guzzle.
I like the design a lot, but I don't think this still holds a spot up at the top of the heap. It's very good a lot of what it does is unique and impressive, but there's just enough fiddly about it, and the articulation is limited enough that I'd say it falls just short of the topest escutcheons of Hasbro's finest.
I find it funny that fall of cybertron turned the dinobots before they were the dinobots into a better version of the wreckers. A special unit focused on hard hitting strikes and wrecking shit, that can fight together and don't have members die all the time
That's what the Dinobots always are. A team of unstoppable Ass Kickers. That's always been one of my beefs with the team. Why do we have these useless Soccer Hooligans, when we have the Dinobots.
Of course that's obviously going to be subjective, I'm not saying I'm right for not liking it. Hell I even gave it Second inspite of that, and what it lost to was an improved version of that mold.
You did a pretty descent Wheeljack impression. If you'd be offered to voice him in an older, grandpa version of him, would you say yes, or despise the character so much?
@@PerspectiveEnd I mean the TFP one. Even tho it's my favorite Tf series, I agree with your opinion on Wheeljack. He's a badass, but when he brags about it all the time, I really don't care. Also a Wrecker with thin, Katana-like swords doesn't make a lot of sense.
From what a remember about MTMTE Whirl, he tried to kill Cyclonus the one time because Cyclonus promised to kill Whirl after their fight before they left Cybertron. And whirl did kill all those sweeps when Cyclonus walked in on him.
No those sweeps were all already dead, and he was standing in a pool of gas with a lit match. So I'm pretty sure he was committing suicide at the time. So if he wanted to Kill Cyclonus why didn't he just drop the match, he would have LITERALLY killed two birds with one stone. And yeah Cyclonus did vow revenge, but he still tried to sacrifice Rewind to do it, and he still was a total sociopath about it.
Recently picked up TR Kup and damn, what a figure. Wasn’t expecting him to feel as nice in the hand as he does, the posability is pretty good, he reminds me a lot of IDW kup, and that transformation is pure genius. The legs are of course insane, but also how the chest unfolds is really clever. And the altmode looks great. Amazing figure.
Thank you, and I know it, I was not expecting this all to go so fast. I got stuff I need to do before the 1000 subscriber special and not a lot of time to do it.
Man... as usual, you made laugh so much! Broadside´s animation models.. so inconsistent, When I was a kid I thought they were 2 different bots, but it was the same one... LOL!
Exactly, your good at being a critic. People are naturally drawn to negative reviews. Its a thing, but your different. You always explain why you dislike or love something.. not hate for hates sake. Also if someone disagrees with your view, .....you respect their own views. We talked about this before... today people get upset and offended if we don't agree with their views. You become their enemy. Your a good dude. Your not like that.
I wouldn't say that the wreckers die a lot because how you describe it but rather because the missions are extremely dangerous to a point that only the most skill fighters would have a chance of completing them
So many people cream their pants over the Wreckers and scramble to get every Wreckers toy ever and then here's me who's never read the comics and just sees them as just another toy for the collection.
While The Wreckers are on the subject in this video, what do you think of the new Wreckers: Tread and Circuits? For me, it has potential and I’m glad Aileron, Arcee’s wife, is brought back into comics after so long 🧡💖
I'm still on IDW Collection #1 so idk much about Whirl, all I can say based on your description is... Johnny 5 design, T-1000 personality. Fr he looks so friendly.
@@PerspectiveEnd I suppose, I just couldn't think of any evil robot characters off the top of my head. I thought he was a comedic character akin to Wheelie in Revenge of the Fallen (not a bad thing in my case, that movie's the pure definition of a guilty pleasure for me). But hey, I went to IDW G1 cuz I figured it'd have less of the 80s cheese and randomness of the original show like finding Atlantis and whatnot, lookin for something more in tone with Beast Wars or the Cybertron games. Well talk about careful what you wish for!
In all honesty whirl holds a lot of nostalgia for me I got him on a birthday at the zoo I really loved that figure but at the time the transformation was to hard for my tiny little brain.
That sounds like a wonderful memory. I still have one of a burger I got at the Zoo with nothing but Ketchup on it, and some how it was still like the best Burg of my life.
I try, and I'm glad to hear it, but it is destroying my social life. I'm working 10 hours a day 7 days a week to do this. Don't feel bad about that though. I'm getting faster it used to be 14 hour days 7 days a week.

@@rayzer8856 I know and that makes me happy. I do this because I enjoy it. I'm just saying it takes a lot of work to keep up this pace, so I'm glad to see it's appreciated.
I'd love to see see a What's the Best for their Decepticon counterpart, Mayhem, given that they are cooler, especially in IDW. but that leaves the question "Who would be included?" So many characters have been in Mayhem. Even Sideways from Armada could be considered a member thanks to "Wreckers Treads and Circuits" in which everyone was Mayhem (the only time I could actually stand the wreckers, by the way. They actually seemed kinda fun in that comic) Regardless, good vid. Only ones I have from the vid are Whirl and Broadside.
Yeah that's part of the problem. Also there's just the fact that I don't collect a lot of the Meyhem guys anyways. Like I don't have a Thunderwing, or a Weirdwolf, or a Carnivac, or most of them really.
I’m a transformers prime fan, but wheeljack does bother me. Just like you said, not that he’s bad for being different. It’s that he had the lame lone wolf persona. Look, if he was in the wreckers then that wouldn’t make since because they are a close team.
And what gets me is that he's clearly putting on affectations. Like he's not doing it because he's cool, he's doing it because it makes him look cool to other people. He wouldn't talk you ear off about it if that weren't the case.
For seige Springer to fix the belt you have to collapse the torso and it has 2 clicks the first leaves the belt bulging it but the second click make it smooth.
@@inkf2846 Yeah I tried using those when I figured out that I had been miss-transforming him initially. They did not help and I had to figure it out my self.
Ok... Change the name. No more catchphrases. Have the characters stop treating them all like gods who have fanboys. Make them more tactical. They should be Seal Team 6 not Soccer Hooligan's the Movie.
@@PerspectiveEnd I could be wrong, but it just sounds like you want them to be ‘edgy’ and ‘hardcore’ like it’s Transformers, even at its most serious it is silly. A lot of characters have catchphrases and honestly you seem to judge a lot of these for the character over the actual plastic. You can dislike them but you don’t need to be this defensive about it.
The Wreckers are actually a Special forces group that takes on the most dangerous mission and makes sure they come out as the victor despite the losses they might have. Victory is already assured for them. And they aren’t all Autobots. Decepticons, Maximals and Predacons have joined Ed their ranks, some of them are famous Characters like Jetfire, Rodimus, Cyclonus, Grimlock, and Skywarp. To some lesser known ones like Buzzsaw, Quickstrike, and Devcon. They aren’t some 13 year olds who just run around and go head on into battle screaming their team name like in prime. They are just a group of hard veteran fighters that just know that they might die the next day to join up the wreckers to make a name for themselves amongst the population. Or anyone that just wants to keep on fighting.
When there are Decepticons they are called the Survivors. But I'd argue no. They are 100% 13 year old's if they weren't then they wouldn't go around shouting Wreck and Rule, and if they were skilled or smart, they wouldn't let Rack and Ruin anywhere near any mission. If you like them keep on liking them, just understand that I have my reasoning for despising them, and it's not because I don't know better.
@@PerspectiveEnd actually if you read Botcon 2001 Wreckers or the more recent 2016 Wreckers they actually did have decepticons on the team. Such as Skywarp, Cyclonus, Off-Road, and Counterpunch. The Survivors were The remnants of the Marvel team back in the original comics. They aren’t so much like young’s kids on the recent IDW comics. Or the horror stories of the FunPub comics. Honestly you can say the same thing whenever Optimus prime calls out “Rollout” or Primals “That’s just prime” each time. Plus RacknRuin got more screen time in the cyberverse show and they got hands and guns and got a new toy. So that shows that fans favorites like them can go up in popularity even if you don’t like their concept.
@@PerspectiveEnd meh I don't know man. I mean it does make sense for a dinobot to be part of a group whose whole point is breaking things. Tho yeah I'm definitely not convince that grimlock was the one to be a wrecker. I just don't see it
Hard to say really. They are both really important characters and the mold works just about equally. Which character do you like more is really all it can go off of. I think G1 Smokescreens head looks kind of dumb with his face inset into it.
I can't hate on TFP Wheeljack quite as much as you, because, without him we wouldn't have Wild Rider and I love that figure. It's one of my top 50 favorite Con figs.
@@PerspectiveEnd Here's what I would've done: give Wheeljack his classic, bungling, oddball inventor characterization & have somebody else be the edgy lone wolf ex-Wrecker. TFPjack should've been Sideswipe.

Great video, my "what's the best" would be almost the same except Springer would be number 1 and sandstorm would be number 2, my sandstorm's back is floppy but except that he is all right
welp here we go 1. yes the wreckers aren't that good when viewed as an elite unit but instead maybe look at them the way fowler described them in prime, the autobot version of a black ops unit (fowlers words not mine) 2. most of the wreckers don't use melee weapons, the only ones who do are impactor, sprinnger, rack n ruin, prime wheeljack, and bulkhead, the rest mostly use guns 3. tactics aren't why the wreckers mortality rate is so high, its because they are routinely assigned the most dangerous missions with the lowest chances of survival which no other units have a chance of completing like having to liberate garris 9 from overlord or having to rescue prowl from tarantulis in the noise maze. you have every right to dislike the wreckers don't get me wrong, I'm just giving my reasons for disagreeing
Black Ops are Elite? They are kind of like the definition of it. Personally the only way they work in my estimation is as a Rogue Unite, or an Unlead Resistance force.
@@PerspectiveEnd actually now that I think about it the wreckers are kind of the transformers equivalent of the suicide squad I mean think of it- -a group of misfit specialists sent on the most dangerous missions with the lowest rate of survival -the group mostly being made up of obscure characters (ok not so much with some members of the suicide squad but at the same time what else is memorable about characters like polka-dot man or copperhead) -the audience never knows which of them will die and when -a character who's basically guaranteed to survive with Harley Quinn for the suicide squad and springer for the wreckers -giving characters that would otherwise be forgotten something to be remembered by -several members of the group being psychopaths' I just realized that today and I'm surprised I didn't see this sooner
Having only seen their IDW version so far, I can say that it feels as if the Wreckers are the team Optimus calls when the mission needs to succeed, no matter collaterals or losses: if they lose, an entire planet or civilization will be destroyed or something. They have no coordination because they keep destining into the Wreckers the loose cannon that doesn´t get itself killed in other units, and die a lot because they are sent to the most awful suicide missions because nobody else would survive or be crazy enough to attempt. Except the Dinobots, but they ignore Optimus orders all the time, while the wreckers read the orders, agree to the general objective, and then do whatever they want to achieve said objective. Or at least, that´s what feels to me. How was it in the original comic, and in which continuity were them?
But I mean you wouldn't call in a team with no Coordination if the job NEEDS to get done. You'd call in a well functioning team. I can't comment on the Original comic that well, I read all about them on the wiki, but without reading the comic subtleties and nuances like what the situations the command structure was in when they were called are unclear.
@@PerspectiveEnd Alright. Only thing I know about the originals is that the writer picked a bunch of figures that had never appeared in fiction before like Whirl or Broadside, and only invented Impactor and Rack´n´Ruin as "not had a toy before" characters.
I kinda hope they touch up siege springer and release him in the 86 line. It would make sense because that’s when springer did show up show and maybe we can get a sandstorm from it. Also For some strange reason my local stores didn’t release much wave 3 and 4 siege figures but the wave 4 deluxes are showing up now at the tail end of Earthrise which is also weird but u got a spinister from it. I also hope they have a barricade somewhere buried all the sideswipes and hounds because I like it better than the ER version better cause it has more and a better shade of purple, I like the head a lot better than the ER head, and the ER is a odyssey exclusive so it will probably be bought up and sold for a higher price.
Hasbro needs to fix their distribution, and I don't know that a sandstorm is in the cards, the MASSIVE retools seem to have gone the way of the dodo in recent memory.
If bay does come back making a new movie and adds the wreckers, I’m will burn a seige springer the moment I get my hands on one, do you think I should get it. Judging by the video, it wasn’t great but good.
Why is that something you will do if Bay comes back, and why will you burn a figure you don't have. It's good, not the best, I say your OK to get it if you don't have a Springer yet.
Maybe you can explain his character to me because I legitimately can't grasp who he is supposed to be, I can never predict how he'd act in a given situation other than Violently, and reasonlessly.
While I like wheeljack, I prefer bulkhead for wreckers because he is not just a wrecker and his arm wrecking balls are better than whatever the hell the jaegers are doin in pacific rim uprising
Other than his obsession with the Wreckers, I actually really like Prime Wheeljack. I know this is late but I have to get my opinion out there anyways. If you remove that dialogue, Wheeljack is a skilled melee combatant as well as a decent pilot and explosives expert. He can fight fliers in the air, and go duel melee gods. If it wasn’t for that sonic blaster, he could’ve actually beaten Soundwave (probably the shows most dangerous close-range fighter) in a fight tilted against him. Soundwave has so many insane abilities in that show that it’s honestly a really impressive feat. He also beat Makeshift, and was smart enough to find a way to prove he was the real Wheeljack, even against a clever foe who already knew almost every tidbit of his entire career. He’s still a bit of a scientist, and easily the second most technologically inclined Autobot in the show, and has unique ship-repairing knowledge which is a skill none of the others Autobots in the show poses. He also clearly has reason to hate authority and be a lone wolf, which can be inferred by how he treats Magnus. At some point during the war, it’s likely a by the book general (like Magnus) had command over the unit. This leader probably put the uniquely skilled team into some very typical combat situations, instead of the close-range commando missions they were armed for, and good at. It’s very likely that this leader stayed back and plotted, instead of getting their hands dirty. From this command style, leaders like Springer or Impactor were probably put in command during missions they weren’t ready for. Wheeljack is nervous and disobedient to Ultra Magnus since he reminds him of one of those leaders and was in command at one point (probably putting the team in more typical combat roles) over the team. Magnus earns Wheeljack respect over the show by letting go, and allowing his teammates to really use their skills. Magnus also shows he cares, and ends up losing his hand in an attempt to protect a wounded Wheeljack and Bulkhead. If it weren’t for the classic “the Wreckers are so cool” that he spouts across the show, then I’d genuinely like him more than the G1 version.
No, he claims to be those, but we never see him do anything on those fronts that the Autobots don't all do. The biggest claim to fame he has is fighting Soundwave 1 on 1 and that's not as impressive as everyone likes to think. Magnus was harsh on him because he had that lone wolf attitude before Magnus showed up. He was brought in to try and reign in the Wreckers unruly tendencies, which Wheeljack resented. You can't just infer that some never discussed officer did some never discussed shady shit, because he was afraid of getting his Hypothetical hands dirty. That is literally something you thought up to explain his attitude, but there's no grounding for in the actual serries.
Whirl is actually an ah-1 cobra based on the rotor blades and the tail plus apaches have 4 blades on both the tail rotor and the main rotor and typically has a radar on top of the rotor so he’s a cobra
Just make the wreckers like a rouge auto bot faction, so that way they can act like they usually do. They are not an elite platoon, they are simply just rouges, and maybe we can have it to be they only help those who are neutral.
@@PerspectiveEnd I got the idea from the covenant of primus,(the actual irl book), were the wreckers were originally a vigilante group before the war Btw that book is apart of the aligned continuity, so war for cybertron(game) and prime and the other books.
Did you mean Overlord? Cause I'd just make him a Stronger than normal dude, but not a nearly Invincible one. As for Fort Max, I think what IDW did with him was really good.
So I had generations Springer like I know I had him I have his gun and I lost him by accidentally leaving him at my cousins house while his friends were over and never saw the figure again and I can’t remember any of them liking transformers so I have no clue what happened
might like MaM Bluestreak. he specifically made sure to make it clear that he wasn't a wrecker during the original team iterations, and only begrudgingly joined to stop Thunder mayhem
further note: he specificly has a dislike of Impactor for being a heartless bastard. honestly MaM is the best wreckers itteration if you ask me Counterpunch (Just Counterpunch, Punch is kinda just dead), Fractyl, Toxitron, Bluestreak, and Impactor. Alpha Bravo and Offroad were also members, but Deadly aim both introduced and killed them off
Is Roadbuster a wrecker, not bayverse, even though he is, but in the comics and stuff. Though, he never got a good g1/comic figure, yeah, his two figures
My favorite is Ultra Magnus or Impactor i can not decide. So I have always been a little upset with the wreckers. I would really like to see some Alpha type stuff go down. Like the wreckers have studied a location and it's inhabitants so well that they just start killing deciptacreeps before they even know whats happening. These guys are spose to be really good, so why not show it with expert planning and execution? Spec Ops is all about that. Frontliners scream and wave their sword. Spec Ops silently slits the throat. The kid in me screams that they are so cool! But the Vegeta in me screams that they are so dumb, but they are so cool. a conundrum for sure rokwind
Both the Kid and the Vegeta are wrong. They're just dumb. Yeah I would like to see some Seal Team 6 crap from them, none of this stupid hooting and hollering charge of the light brigade crap.

That bit about Topspin looking generically Japanese made me curious. Last time we spoke, you mentioned utter disdain for Japanese transformers. I gotta ask, do you hate Japanese mech shows in general or merely their treatment of transformers? Cause I’m getting the feeling it’s the former. What do you say?
It's mostly their treatment of the Transformers. Japanese mech shows have their own style and aesthetic, and what I don't like is how they turn the Transformers into that. Transformers is not that and should not be that. Not that there is anything wrong with the thing it self. That said, I'm not big on the Genre, I've liked a few Gundam shows, but I can't say that I go out of my way to watch them.
I see. Very interesting. Another point you brought up before was Star saber. You preferred his IDW self than his original, stating you hated the Star Saber who adopted a human son. I’m curious to know why, if you’re willing.
@@professormeme2457 It's just another one of those things where they are making Transformers something it was not meant to be. Star Saber is the greatest warrior ever. The Japanese also tend to make their OCs Please do not steal the biggest Mary Sues. You know stuff like "Screw Optimus Prime, Star Saber is actually the greatest Autobot leader because we came up with him."
@@PerspectiveEnd Ah-ha! So it's merely personal preference. Nothing wrong with that, really. Although, aren't you forgetting something? Keep in mind Prime died years ago, therefore someone qualified had to take command. Whether or not he's a Gary Stu OC do not steal, Star Saber was experienced with leadership. Plus, Japan brought Prime back in Return of Convoy, even designing a brand new toy of him. It's clear they cared about him--otherwise, it wouldn't've happened. Hell, none of the Japan originals ever berated Optimus, as most tended to go their own way. Each of them had their respective leaders, but again, none of them trashed on Optimus. His death in Headmasters was too early, but Return of Convoy made up for it. Also, you didn't elaborate on WHY Star Saber was a bad character. You've just made a general statement about Japan making their OCs better. So if you don't mind answering after probably reading this LONG response, let me rephrase: What specifically about Star Saber you found utterly irredeemable? Is it the character himself or his relationship with his son?
@@professormeme2457 Did I imply that my dislike of Japanese Transformers stuff wasn't preference. Something you are forgetting though is that the Headmasters which is supposed to take place INSTEAD of "The Rebirth" immediately killed off Optimus in the Dumbest way possible. And they spent years saying that any figure of Optimus was anything other than Optimus such as Ginrai. So as to what I find most irritating about Star Saber is as follows: 1 He's a Garry Stu. He's just the most powerful ever because he's a swordsman. 2 I hate his design. I think it's goofy. 3 I don't like Catchphrases people just spout off at random. They're hokey and stuff people don't actually do IRL, plus "Lets Say Go" is completely awful, and makes no sense. 4 Taking a human Adopted son is weird for many reasons, the least of which being that he will outlive his adopted child by literal millions of years.
I have the Generations Springer, and mine does this thing where his head pops off when I transform him. Do I care that he isnt' based on the version I remotely care about (Sunbow cartoon) ? No, cuz it's a good toy of a decent character who can hold is partsforming piece on his back. I might sand his crest down to help him with that. He's cool tho, at least he can do things with his partsforming bits in all modes
Funny to think that there was this strange time for Wheeljack where the DOTM movie had his personality right but not the design, whilst Prime had the design right but not his personality.
My favorite Wreckers are Ironfist and Guzzle. I don't count any stories about them outside IDW. I actually like their name but my exposure to them is limited to mostly Last Stand of the Wreckers. I actually like Whirl but mostly for how he looks in IDW. I have the MMC Guzzle and love it. I really hope they do an Ironfist and Verity in her armor at some point. My oldest son loves the IDW Wrecker version of Perceptor and I hope MMC does that one too for him. They do the best IDW inspired characters in my opinion. I actually had the G1 Twin Twist as a kid. It was my least favorite bot ever. I was pretty surprised to discover he was a main character for the Wreckers when I first looked at the comics a year ago. Again my experience with them is limited. I have seen a little of Transformers Prime but not enough to really see what Wheeljack was like there. I am sad to hear he is a dumbass there since I liked him a lot in G1.
MMC is fantastic, but they are also kind of the only game in town if you want IDW figures. I don't think Verity is in the cards, but didn't they do an Ironfist that was just a retool of the Guzzle already? Yeah I had a Armada McDonald's Starscream which is the exact same figure. That thing is Miserably lame.
@@charperalta9489 yep and that figure has hollow legs super bright colors that don't really match the more muted tones from the comic. Also the plastic looks cheap and it lacks the fine tuning and clean details we see with MMC figures.
@@PerspectiveEnd I don't know why they would not do her. She plays a big role in the IDW comic and Last Stand of the Wreckers is one of their most sold stories warranting a hardbound release, which I have and love. No way would she ever be produced as a one off but they did a Brawn retool with Guzzle to try and sell more and raise the price point slightly so I can definitely see them doing a Ironfist and adding her in especially with swappable armor bits. On a different note it was super awesome that X-Transbots decided to include the IDW heads for Perceptor in their upcoming release. My oldest son is so happy about this and it was a must purchase the second we saw it. So this Wrecker will now have a great fill-in now for those who like IDW.
Actually, I like this controversy with Wheeljack. It adds something unique and ridiculous about his personality. And I TFP Wheeljack is one of my favorite autobots. But I understand that he's not for everyone.
You have no idea how much I hate that character dude. He's like in my Top 3 most loathed characters in fiction. There is nothing less cool in this universe than thinking you are cool, and Wheeljack is just IN LOVE with him self.
@@PerspectiveEnd Honestly I don't understand why they decided to completely rewrite Wheeljacks character. Like they didn't do that to any other character in the show. Like you literally could've replaced Wheeljack with Impactor and nothing would've changed honestly. Besides even Prime in the same show said it best when he told Ratchet that the Autobots were better off with a medic than a lone warrior. Fuck it actually, just replace Prime Wheeljack with Exhaust. At least it'd give him reason to being a lone wolf because he's a Mercenary.
Okay. Now I've seen it. I agree with that assessment 100%. Both are great but Sandstorm is best. Springer is Super Nick Roche accurate. I buy discounted figures from BBTS for customs. I had an inbox Sandstorm that I originally bought to repaint into Obsidian, but I changed my mind. When I listed him in an auction on ebay [starting at $30] he sold for over 100 dollars.
Still like them. But you make great points and I’m not gonna argue just of nostalgia. Also a lot of the love of the wreckers on my part comes from how much I liked the G1 version in which they are less of a Idiotic yelling group of over aggressive morons and more of a proper elite unit that knows when they’re beaten and don’t just decide to charge at the frontlines like they’re fucking invincible.
I wasn't trying to convince anyone not to like them just saying why I hate them. And the G1 version are the ones who said Wreck and Rule all the time with Rack and Ruin.
I have to agree with your opinion on Prime Wheeljack, even when I was little and too young to really understand how much of an asshole he was I never liked the dude. I hate to say it, but I don’t really think there’s been a halfway decent version of Wheeljack since G1, but I think the Netflix one comes closest
I quite like the idea of the wreckers. they're like autobots, but not really. Like the decepticons, they stand for violence...except like..against decepticons. It's quite an interesting concept in my opinion. This I think is very much intentional. I am mainly talking about the marvel/lstotw/sotw/rotw. Yes, they are 90s as shit but the idw comics embrace that and multiply it by 1000. The wreckers are basically a final resort. They're the big guns. The only thing wrong I can find with the idw incarnations is that THEY KILLED THE PREDATORS I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THIS IMPAC- But still, I think the idw wreckers are the best executed.
I mean if they are the big guns why do they die all the time, also wouldn't the big guns be the Dinobots, or Skylynx? I feel like they are the team that you send in on one side of a mission to make a lot of noise and get killed while the actual special forces go in on the other and stab the enemy in the back.
I mean I'd do it for free if it's not like a consistent engagement, even if I feel tremendous embarrassment, and I probably wouldn't be all that good considering I'm not an actor. If it's a couple lines for one video that's fine, but I can't do it every week.
I am not a g1 fan but I did watch some episodes when I was younger so I know how you feel. Instead I am I huge beast wars fan and I am proud of it because Beast Wars for life lol. Also I will be getting all of the kingdom beast wars figures because it has always been my dream to have beast wars action figures.
I watched a G1 before I ever saw Beast Wars. Beast Wars is better. Beast Wars is the best. No other TF show as ever written as well as Beast Wars. Though I do love both. Beast Wars Still More.
Thank you. I'm glad this is being better received. I mention I don't like Wheeljack for 3 seconds in my last video everyone looses their minds, I say I hate the Wreckers for like 2 straight minutes in the next one, no one bats an eye.
On one way you right but on the other, he kind still is G1 inspired, he still is a decepticon tripul changer and the brute, only diffrentes been the lack of yellow helmet, plus the "man-y-faces" 3 personalityes gimic.
@@dedalionarts6077 *pretending to be tfa blitzwing* I simply found zee animated bleetzwing more entertaining. *face swap* YOU BETTAH AHGREE WITH ME OR I' POUND YOU INTAH SCRAP METUL *face swap* HAHAHAHAHA
@@dedalionarts6077 I here the toy is pretty cool. *blue face* but you should make sure the wings are put on right *joker face* BECAUSE THEY MIGHT BE SCREW LOOSE LIKE ME!
Personally I find he design a little lacking, mostly stemming from the face, I really don't like the faces of Prime they're just too simplistic. And what Version of Blitzwing are you talking about?
I always thought the Wreckers actually worked together as a team and planned out what they were going to do but I think that's mostly due to the fact in Transformers Prime Ultra Magnus was the leader and he seem like he was good at following procedures so the team didn't just jump on In and would have got killed in the process also I do have to agree Prime Wheeljack kinda sucks I could forgive the way his speaks if his personality wasn't a lone wolf also kinda wish he was a strong warrior with the genius his G1 counterpart was would have made a really interesting combination. Also kinda interested in getting the Sandstorm sure he's not in a size scale I would like but he still looks cool and has a good transformation.
In prime Ultra Magnus was put on the team to Curb their hooting soccer hooligan behaviors. I mean do you like chug stuff cause Sandstorm is pretty in line with normal Chug. He's about modern leader scale now. Like I expect Legacy Blitzwing to be just slightly shorter than him.
Ahh, it'll always be the original Wreckers from the Marvel UK comic (Issue 82) for me. Impactor, Whirl, Rack 'n' Ruin, Topspin, Twin Twist and Roadbuster. I'd like to see them all given a Deluxe upgrade treatment - maybe in the Legacy line - and released as twin-packs or a special all-in-one 'Wreckers' set. Either that, or just a repackage and re-release, as some of the earlier ones are hard to find these days. Hell, Rack 'n' Ruin STILL hasn't even got a figure, and I'm NOT counting that Cyberverse abomination as an official release. . . Because it's dogshit! N-PUT has made a VERY good Custom Rack 'n' Ruin figure though. Very G1 accurate (except maybe the head sculpts, but, Damn, it's good!)!! @@PerspectiveEnd no in the marvel comics and the Dreamwave series Ultra Magnus was the leader of the wreckers, transformers prime Ultra Magnus was a reference to those interpretations of him.
@@apexarmada1419 To do this video right I looked the marvel wreckers up on the Wiki all several of the wikis, and he was never in the team rosters for the Wreckers for the comics.
TF Prime is absolutely it's own thing. They had an extremely borked version of the wreckers in it, where almost none of them were known before or since as members of the team.
There were a great many reasons to do so. He killed our chances of getting a space Wheeljack, he's a Wrecker, He's in like a grand total of 6 issues of the comics across 40 years.
Like super legit they are exactly soccer hooligans! Simon firman in the UK created them because of the leftover Toys that we're not getting any screen time right? Also, I'm pretty certain Wreckers is a reference to the specific type of tow truck that comes and picks up junk cars... It's a synonym for a big fancy tow truck and so it's a pun... If that makes any difference at all for you🤣🤣 The high mortality rate was probably also tied to the fact that the toys were shit and going to be canceled off shelves double quick... Maybe this is all head cannon but I also have a high opinion of my own opinion😜 Finally, this video tipped me over to purchasing the thrilling 30 sandstorm... I wanted it when I was a kid because I thought that helicopter mode and that dune buggy looked like the most legit realistic alt modes for the autobot triple changers back in the eighties... But I was poor, and aged out of the demographic real quick (like most of us I bet)... And then when it hits shelves 10 years ago I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a toy when I had young kids and a wife that was gonna complain and whatever... So hearing that it was like Springer but better in every way I ordered the dude and he is excellent! Thank you!
I am very proud of my assessment of them, glad you agree with both my view on them and Wheeljack. That would help make sense yes. Sandstorm is really fun, he is devoid of the frustrations that Springer had.
His transformations are too annoying for me to agree to that. I didn't even mention how those little side flaps that you flip down LOVE to pop off, or how in the helicopter mode his are's are always flexed a little away from the sides due to the screw hinges being right up alongside the hands and pushing on them.
That's fine if that's what makes him appeal to you, I think the Sandstorm is better but it can be hard to justify a figure of a character you aren't attached too.
