My mom got mad at me for 'not caring about her family.' Her family that I've only seen 3 times in my life, barely know who is who, who stopped sending my b-day and christmas gifts when I was about 8 for no known reason, who live in the farthest parts of the country because all her sisters hate each other because they all have some weird victim complexes and who she has never once said a nice thing about at any point in her life. Yeah, I think I'll stick with my dad's sane family.

My stepmom forbade me from walking past some apartments by our house. To sum it up, her argument was that there was college kids there that would force themselves on me. Keep in mind that I only go walking in daylight, never talk to strangers, and those apartments were right next to a road and a convince store. My favorite park was past that appartement complex so I naturally didn’t give a crap. When she caught me walking past those appartements she then proceeded to accuse me of basically pimping myself out to the men. I was ~14 at the time and i gave her no reason at all to suspect anything like that. I never even really approached those stupid apartments I just walked on the sidewalk by them… that basically sums up the batshit craziness that is my stepmom.

My mom once got jealous of me when I went to see a movie (hotel Transylvania 3) with my dad in theaters. We used to do daddy daughter dates all the time, but after I hit puberty and started well- Growing up physically- my mom got suuuuuper jealous whenever my dad, the man who fricken' raised me, took me out on those daddy daughter dates. She had no reason to suspect anything was going on, but she got mad anyway and would always find some bs excuse for mine and my dad's time together to be either shortened or cancelled altogether. She made up her own language. So we were in Orlando Florida for vacation and the resort we were staying at had a lazy river, and the only way you can stay in the lazy river is that you had a wrist band and my mom and aunt bought some for us kids. They decided that they wanted to go in the lazy river too but didn’t want to pay for the wrist bands so they went in without them. Now, my aunt said that if they ask about their wrist bands they were to make it look like they can’t speak English. Of course this was a joke but my mom took it seriously. So after their second time around one of the life guards asked where their wrist bands were and while my aunt just kept her head down, my mom stopped and said some gibberish like “Kwaaaaaa?” And some other things just to get the guy to leave her alone. And it worked. But now it’s become a joke in the family and we will never let her live it down.

I could make a nice long list for you; but here's a sample of my mother's mental state of well being. When I was in sixth grade, me, my mother, and my sister were living in a very small 1 bedroom house in California. To give you an idea of how small, the address had 1/2 on the end of the number. My mother was struggling to find work. One day, my family was really starving, so we ransacked the house to try to find money to buy groceries. I found a $5 bill. I gave it to my mother and she left to walk two blocks to the grocery store. She came back ten minutes later with.. nothing. My sister and I asked, "Where's the food?" My mother said she got to the grocery store and at the entrance door was a homeless man asking for spare change. My mother gave him the $5 and came back home. I think that would have been the only time the courts would have found me and my sister not guilty of killing her, but, for reasons unknown, we let her live.

Back in the mid 90's, the local apartment block "forest" had an ice house manned by volunteers. The things those poor people had to go through. I was like 5 years old when this happened. There was a massive queue, at least 20 parent/kid groups, so it took a while. By the time I had paid, grabbed my candy and was on my way back home, apparently so much time had passed that my egg donor had left her couch/tv, went to come get me, and proceeded to slap me so hard that I twirled 360 degrees before falling to the ground. Crying and putting him into the car my mom dropped me back at school before taking my dog to the vet and said "I'll see you after school." #2: She interrupted the evening science fair and my presentation to return home and find a video game for my younger brother. #3: Worried that I was gay (I'm not), she took it upon herself to get me a date for prom. Not so bad -right? She began calling the mothers of girls at my high school and church to verify if they had dates and if they'd be available / interested in going with me. I have LOTS more....

My mum says it was my sister's fault for being groped because she didn't pray, not the first time she was told when she was 11 years old. But the reason why she was groped is because the older man was trying to get to me, a 6-year-old boy. Honestly, this isn't the first time she loses her crap: her best friend died in front of her and got blamed for not praying, our half-brother broke into our home cuz he wanted money and my older sister was shrugged off my mum because she favours her son and not us, my mum neglected and ill-treated her family and adores her son who isn't in this family. Honestly, Idgaf if she loves him but at least put some effort to make this family better by not being a sociopathic maniac. I can literally sense s*¡cidal tendencies from my dad, and I had no parent to teach me moral values and apparently, I had to read the Bible even though I couldn't read yet. I also didn't learn how people should treat other people, appropriately, I was isolated and left alone with my half-brother who has no care for me and oftenly harassed my older sister. I have to admit, I loved my damned half-brother, but I now know he's a narcissist. He neglects his wife and children. I still struggle in trying to love my mum because every kid in my 11th grade class knew I hated my mum, so they hated me so much that I ended up being this dumb misfit person.

I've been to several schools. I was in special ed, which I hid as much as I could. The school would have parents complain that I'm getting special attention that their kid deserved. In fact, a lot of "deserving" issues come up in my life due to the disability. They often treat average kids or slightly gifted students to think they had grand futures. Now they work 9-5s. I have weighed in the deserving part because I was like, well, I can't do that, so I must be lesser than the other kids. With me, I'll try to hide or get away when I'm nervous about social interaction, as the other kids had rights like people in the US. I can't fight back. With me, it's like, you're back already, aren't you? I have never had rights, and it got effing ridiculous.

This was about helicopter moms. But, my mom was not one of those- she was, something else- There is a reason why she is no longer welcome back to my home. The last time she was there, she complained that she does not get the best seat in the house, complained that I didn't buy instant coffee and have it on hand for the chance that she decides to actually show up when she is invited. even though I had regular kettle coffee, the problem was she would have to make it and this is more work than instant. Next she asked me if I had any hot beverage, I said, I had hot chocolate, asked me to make it for her- I did. Later she complained that she even had to ask, that I should of had it made and waiting for her right as she got in the door. She was five hours late. even if I had done that, it would have been thrown out by now. next, she asked me if I was hungry- said I should buy us all a pizza. I said no, she was five hours late and in that time I already cooked and ate. But I saved her leftovers that are in the fridge for her, then left the room before I could hear yet another complaint. She said that she was leaving, that she has a sore knee, that bending over to grab something out of the fridge is too much for her- that she is going to walk to the bus stop and go home to make something there instead. I called her out on this, there is no way walking that distance, then having to cook in her own home is in any way easier than this. That if she wanted to leave, fine, but don't dare insult me by making up that bullshit excuse. this is the first time that day I actually called her out on her bs, so this started an argument with a back and forth until I promptly just kicked her out, she continued to say I am disrespecting her yada yada- further complaining. I just yelled at her, shut up and get out. She punched me, this is the second time in my entire life she has hit me in any way shape or form- she is not usually physically abusive to be clear. Not that it makes it okay but- still. Anyway, afterwards in sheer reflex I punched her back. It was such a moment reaction time that I didn't even have the time to ball up a fist properly. Regardless- after I realized what I had done. I pushed her down so she could not retaliate- just hard enough to knock her off her balance and for her to fumble down, in the softest spot I could find immediately around. Afterwards, I offered to help her up and make sure she was okay. She refused my help, understandably- then grabbed her stuff. I caught her as she went out of the door that she dropped something, wishing to return it. She said she does not care on the top of her lungs for all to hear as she left. Promptly called the police for me punching her, acts the victim for it to this day.

One time we were on a country road where there had been a road accident, the area had been cordoned off with police and ambulance present; and one policeman who was giving hand gestures that seemed to indicate "Stop, no entry, turn back" that sort of thing. So what does my mother do? Drives past the policeman giving hand signals, goes into the cordoned off area, drives past and parks _in front_ of a police car on the side of the road, then gets out to ask the poice officer in the car if it's ok to pass through.

I was finally let out after four hours.

One day, my usually mean and abusive father, whiney brother and I were actually laughing and joking one day. Mom came in angry and smacked around my father (he was a foot taller than her and really fat). Then she smacked my brother around until he cried. She looked at me like "C'mon! I saved the best for last!" I fought back. She said "oh, ow!" I said "I'm sorry mom, but you can't -" She then dug her long nails into my shoulders until I collapsed to the ground. It wasn't the only WTF moment but it was one of the weirdest.

I remember as younger teen one time that, I had a friend coming over, and there were some magazine salesman going door-to-door at the time. Wile I was waiting for them to come over my mom was taking a shower, and had already been bothered by a couple magazine salesmen. My friend comes to the front door and rings the doorbell, my mom comes running in her bra and panties and yells at them about selling magazines, screaming at them. My friends cautiously explained why they were here and it was very awkward.

Not my mom. But my boyfriends mom. She uses me as a punishment to "knock her son down a couple of levels." Im convinced his mom doesnt like me because Ive made her kid "rebellious". His parents have told him that if he moves out. He isnt allowed back anymore because he spents "too much time" with me and my family, we let him relax. But one good thing that she did was find my newest rescue pupper, Banjo. But me, my family, and my bf went to Vegas and went to Zak Bagans haunted museum and he is scared to show them the shirt he got from there because apparently we "wouldnt be christian" for "dabbling in the dark arts". Me, my dad, and my bf are into the paranormal and always wanted to go to the museum. My parents dont like his. His dont like mine. But we are willing to work through it all to be together, despite his parents threats.

Ohh here we go - terrorized me while I was in hospital with anorexia when I was 14 ( security had to escort her 😂) then proceeds to scam people for money (using my Ed as an excuse) by saying that she 'desperately' needed money for "treatment"... Free treatment. Proceeds to spend ALL the cash she had on junk food (for herself) and opiates 🙃. I ran away when I found out what she did and ended up being admitted to hospital again after police found me. Got taken out of her care at 14 after I was actually able to open up to a nurse at the hosp. I was referred to cps real quick. Also to note this all happened while I was basically tortured with the mh system in Perth au in regards to my Ed. I hope the system gets better someday.. after 11months I was sent back to home country New Zealand. I have been living on my own for fours years...but honestly I'm glad. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Or the time before any of us were born and she saw a girl naked in her (my mom's) boyfriend's house, so she DOVE THROUGH THE GLASS to wail on this girl and she wound up running away down the street, still naked. My mom then walked around her rich boyfriend's house and knocked every expensive thing to the floor. She was savage i tell you and i miss her every day.

I once made a mistake, with a friend during a 7th grade vollyball game, and was told to sit down with my mom. My mom got angry with the coach, and after the game mom took me home, and said you are withdrawing from athletics. She said I wasn't mature enough to play. I wasn't allowed back in athletics until eleventh grade, when I could not keep up with anyone. Years later Mom denied this and said the real reason was because she thought I was being issolated and bullied during athletics. Mom if you had just let things alone, I might have friends my own age, and would not feel like you are my respionsibility, because I don't truly trust you not to screw up my life.

One thing my parents did was say things like, "Don't do drugs, but if you get offered a free sample, take it" (applying to soft stuff like 'herb', acid, etc. Obviously M, Crack, etc. was warned against heavily), let me have some alcohol at home during holidays, allowed to wager in games at home, things like that. I have ADHD which has, among other problems, a high chance of addiction. No addiction to drugs - even "herb" which I sometimes take for insomnia, no addiction to alcohol, no gambling addiction (except a mild one to gacha but nobody predicted THAT existing when I was growing up)... Turns out, if you normalize and make it boring, people are likely to just shrug at it because it doesn't carry the thrill. Don't hype it up to be exciting, don't make somebody afraid of it unless it really IS something to fear, and they'll almost certainly just... Not show interest in it

I moved to Western Kentucky from Southern California back in 2004 when in the 7th grade. After living here for a few years and becoming very good friends with someone and my mom becoming good friends with his mom tooz we decided to arrange an opportunity for him to come with us to California to visit some family and see the beach. We were driving there - which takes about 2 days - and planned to be there for about 5 days, making for a total trip length of 9 days. My friend text his mom as often as possible but there were a few times where, while in the middle of literal bumfuck nowhere of the Nevada and California Desert where in 2007 cell phone towers as much of a mirage as a fire hydrant, there were times none of us had cell phone service. So once we got to Los Angeles and we all had service again, neither me nor my mom noticed our phones were dead because who would we call? And my friends was dead too but he was too excited about seeing the beach to remember to call his mom. Well, by the 12th hour of not hearing from them she called the state police to report that we kidnapped him, including giving them our phone numbers, names and the correct address of the family we were there to visit, probably found online. California State Police called us, asked for our names and asked to talk to my friend. Despite him quenching their burning desire to send out the cavalry like they normally would; instead, they asked him if he was with us voluntarily, if he had been kidnapped, if anyone was threatening him and where we were going to be in the next 30 minutes so they could check on him in person. We gave him that information immediately, they politely approached us and verify that he is still alive and not being held against his will. He got to talk to his mom for a few minutes who yelled at him, then he hung up on her. That was a very interesting yet scary situation, especially since, within the next 3 or 4 days, his parents were flying to Las Vegas on their own little trip So, by the time we got back to Kentucky, they were also gone for a few days, lol. Kinda looks like jealousy to me, lol

I was suffocating and almost passed out, and I had to hit her to get her off of me. After I got free I ran to my kinda friends house and they called the cops. The cops did fuck all and just separated us for the night. Next day she put me in a behavioral hospital for hitting her in defense. If I wouldn’t have hit her I would have passed out and she would have been detained for suffocating her child. Makes me wish I passed out instead of defended myself.
