Its rare that I will listen to a 45 minute interview, but this is well worth the time.

When David Boren was the Senator for Oklahoma, I wrote him a letter about a firearms issue. His office sent back a nice reply letter supporting my viewpoint on the issue. Then they messed up and sent me the reply letter that supported the opposite side of the issue. So, no matter your viewpoint you would receive a letter supportive of your side. I have continued to vote and contact my congress critters, but I do not trust them.

My future for my pistol brace is that I'll keep it.

I’m a paraplegic as the result of a HALO jump when I was in Special Forces. I use one of these braces and it’s a huge benefit. I own and use rifles of all kind, but because of my lack of trunk muscles I have to either use a brace or a rest of some sort. I have a friend that has a brace and is a paraplegic, but last year when the comment period was going on I couldn’t even get her to write a few sentences and send them in. Getting people to actively write, call or do anything is worse than trying to herd cats! Then they bitch AFTER a ruling like this comes down. I’m not going to cut ties with friends over this and their inability to be proactive, but it drives me nuts when people would rather bitch later and wonder what happened rather than actually do something. At any rate, I’m in this fight to the end. Thanks for bringing us the brace, it’s been a big aid in my life.

Never heard of this man by name before today only by the name of his company. But he seems like a wonderful man who represents the 2A community so well. I one hope that he is very wealthy for all of his time and two I hope that he keeps fighting!

I am a cancer survivor. I have a buildup of scar tissue around my lung and around my shoulder where the port was placed. I cannot lift a firearm effectively. the brace has fixed that for my Scorpion evo3. Thank you for all the work you have done.

When I broke my arm I will always remember how valuable it felt knowing I could defend myself with a braced AR Pistol. The ATF trying to make people with disabilities into felons is so unethical and unconstitutional it makes my blood boil

This interview with Alex Bosco was very enlightening. I fell in love with this guy! I own several of his products and believe they are some of the best on the market and have been some of the most influential products to be introduced into our industry/lifestyle in decades. His story needs to be heard. Yes, he has a lot of skin in THIS game but his thoughts and perspective are based on what's RIGHT and LEGAL as to BATFE's overreach and the uselessness of an act the was instituted some 89 years ago. Repeal the NFA of 1934 it's no linger relevant in 2023. Like he said, DO SOMETHING! Your voice matters.

SBRs were added solely to prevent people from cutting down rifles to make concealable weapons, because the NFA included handguns on its first draft. The removal of pistols from the NFA should've also included the removal of SBRs.

“But it’s a weapon of war!!” Yes. Yes it is. That’s the whole entire point of it. It’s exactly why it’s our God-given right to have them.

Strike SBR from the NFA. Makes all this a moot point. While we’re at it strike the Hugh’s amendment from the GCA and scrub the whole NFA. Weapons of war ate precisely what the framers had in mind when they added the 2A to the constitution.

As much good as pistol braces have done- it still doesn’t justify the stupid regulation of a piece of plastic in comparison to barrel length. The NFA is utter nonsense and has been since it’s inception. It’s like prohibition- the banning of alcohol was stupid- but this like saying a small bottle of alcohol is somehow more potent than a larger bottle of alcohol- and thus only small bottles of shall be controlled/banned. Completely and thoroughly absurd.

If the ATF can rewrite the NFA can any govt agency rewrite any legislation? The EPA found out NO.

I have been both an entrepreneur and VC. I have chronic medical issues in my family. I’m from Florida and back in 2006 I designed the exact arm brace that sb tactical would later make, I even have the drawings still. It’s so weird that two separate people that never met designed the same exact thing. It’s definitely a small world. I’m praying for sb tactical, this arm brace rule is total bullish!t.

The only reason sbr’s got onto the nfa was because they wanted pistols on the nfa & under that category they added sbr’s. They removed pistols but essentially snuck in sbr’s. They were never supposed to be on it originally.

I noticed when you guys were discussing the NFA, you failed to mention the tax stamp the government charges per item. That's one of the reasons the ATF will fight to keep the NFA in place. Nevertheless, yes, the NFA should be abolished.

Silly ATF - Next thing you know the only way to have a pistol brace will be to have a handicap sticker on your AR pistol.

In section 4.4 it implies the buffer tube is a brace if it is needed for the firearm to function or not.

I’m a redneck conservative and I have lost all respect for the federal government. Except for a few representatives in Congress the government does not give a shit about the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

Definitely a significant registry. Anyone who owns a "heavy" pistol likely does not own it exclusively. It's no one's 1st or only firearm.

An old lost document recently rediscovered makes all guns legal it was written in 1791 and ratified on December 15th of that year .

I bought a brace so that I could shoulder a pistol and get around the NFA.

NFA is the prize we need to keep focused on, help any case that can finally be taken up by SC to get NFA removed for what it is a way to keep the poors from exercising their rights, similar to an illegal poll tax.

I heard congress members on the left making the argument that pistol braces make the gun shoot faster & that in itself is absolutely crazy coming from a perspective that doesn’t have a clue what a pistol brace is.

We needed to work to repeal NFA

I missed it early the ATF stated that it already considers pistols with braces SBR's. Therefore they only allow FFL's 60 days and they can't sell them without converting them to rifles or making them NFA. For everyone else the 120 days which I would think was a grace period for the rule is simply ATF discretion in NOT PROSECUTING YOU! Theoretically there could be a legal pistol wIth a brace but it is basically a secret and you have to self incriminate to get a ruling. With respect to SB Tactical the blade brace has no real surface area. It could be or any brace could be made where they are not adjustable for pull length making them impractical to shoulder. Optics? Really? Wouldn't most people hold any pistol at the same place as if they had a real stock? The brace was designed as a brace. They are in common use because they were legal. Who would buy an illegal untaxed SBR? No one! They are so seldom used in crime and it is because they are common not because they are exceptionally more dangerous. If there was 40 million sold would have caused a massive crime wave.

I would like to know the exact number of braces that SB tactical has sold, since they are the largest maker and seller, or at least the most prominent.

The federal governments authority to regulate firearms comes from the commerce clause. This means they are only able to regulate the sale of firearms and/or firearm related accessories across state lines. They do NOT have the authority to regulate the manufacturer of ANYTHING. They also don't have any authority to regulate the sale if firearms within a state, or the authority to control what a citizen does with a legally acquired product so long as the product is not being sold across state lines.

I have had 2 Stokes and find that I have stability issues , I used a braced pistol and it made world of different for my hobby of target shooting , I will be forced to either stop shooting or put a 16 inch upper on a pistol which be basic physics will be Harder for me to leverage safely It makes no sense to me ?

Retired disabled vet. As of last March I'm now in a wheelchair. I am just now getting to where I can shoot. I have to have a brace to do it.

We need the pro 2A community to come together, all manufacturers and distributors. They should help by lowering costs to engrave, pistols at lower to SBR them. We need huge price drops on sales of SBR’s so that more law abiding citizens can own them. So that they become a normal firearm to have. This can help more , probably than waiting for the lawsuits. Imagine selling all SBR $400 les or more to help offset the cost of having to go through NFA trust Drawn up , fingerprinting , engraving, NFA tax. The same thing should also be done for suppressor manufacturers, having inexpensive quick attach muzzle adapters and suppressors so that we can all afford them making them common in the firatms 2a community.

I injured my left shoulder several years ago and severely damage the nerves in my hand and lost 70% of function. People like me need braces!! In my state "aw's" are banned, BUT we are allowed to have something called a CT "other" which is neither a pistol or a rifle and has very strict guidelines. So what the hell are CT residents supposed to do? Hand them in and loose thousands of $, this is such bs.

The fact that laws are made by a certain process and the AFT skirts right around that and try and make laws is mind boggling. As responsible firearm owners we’ve tried to bend over backwards to stay within the confines of the “law” and at this point I could care less what they come up with. Long ago Marbury vs Madison ruled that any laws repugnant to the constitution are null and void. Also anything in common use cannot be restricted or banned. This is all on top of the FACT that the AFT can’t makes laws. It’s a shame one would need all kinds of money to prove innocence but they know that most don’t have that kinda money and will probably take a plea deal rather than fighting it cause they would win. We need more people fighting against this BS. Also we have to stand up against this BS and say “enough is enough”

Don’t forget the atf making this ruling is a direct infringement of SB TACTICALS Pursuit Of Happiness and directly affecting his income and all other business deals that were made with small time dealers. Not allowed by our constitution by Jefferson’s words himself in the definition of the pursuit of happiness

This issue needs to be taken to the goal post and used to repeal the NFA in whole! AT LEAST to remove SBRs from the NFA

Is anyone talking about the nics 88 day automatic rejection on fileing your form1? The atf has stated that even if you filed your paperwork in the 120day period if it takes more than 88 days to process it will be automatically rejected.

I love the stupid laugh when he said trump got elected…like he didn’t tell the ATF to get rid of bump stocks and made many statements about different firearms and suppressors…plus he championed red flag laws… “take the guns first, due process second”.

How about we go stop settling for braces and go after the NFA? Then Bosco can sell us stocks instead of braces

The NFA is the problem. There is no reason for SBRs or SBSs to be in the NFA. They were only a side thought, a way to close a loophole with the original NFA because the main focus in the 30s were handguns not SBRs and SBSs. The thought was if handguns were regulated (because of how easily they are to conceal) people would try to cut down rifles and shotguns claiming they were not pistols. Then when they realized they couldn’t regulate handguns they just left the SBRs and SBSs in…… so ridiculous.

In this latest ATF brace law change are several other things hidden in. Like all foreign made, imported pistols are NOW illegal because they do not comply with Section 922 requiring at least ten domestic parts to be legal for importation. Why did the ATF OK these pistols, allow importation and then wait YEARS to declare them illegal? Congress seems afraid of the ATF.
