I believe the decision to start a new rebuild, they obviously thought to do it the right way by building a team based on a defense foundation... My questions are 1). How Tyus Jones and Jordan Poole fits to a defensive team? 2). How they're gonna make sure the last season won't repeat itself when Kuzma is playing?

This upcoming season i truly believe and have a strong feeling that what kevin garnett and people expected poole to be at the beginning of last season..HE WILL BE THIS SEASON. also i hope jp put on a lil more muscle this off season.

I like Jared Butler’s contributions on the floor more than Trey Jones’. The Wizards team last year was all finesse and was too easily moved out of position by their opponents. Gafford ,Kuzma, Poole, Jones and Coulibaly are all talented players. Only Deni, Kispert and Eugene were solidly built guys that didn’t yield position easily. Signing Bagley and Butler was smart. Coulibaly will get stronger with time. (He was pushed around a lot right before he got injured. Wizards team was weak on the boards and a lot of that weakness was body type. No wonder playing Porzingas and Gafford and Kuzma together 2 years ago didn’t work.

I think the only plan right now is to bring in rookies and see who is good enough to be part of the roster in three years. They cannot possibly be considering the current roster as the start of anything.

SGA wasn't OKC draft prospect and he has developed during their tanking. Dort was 2 ways contract in this tanking. You definitely consider any player who shows talent and progress, but definitely the roster as one unit isn't the base.

What contending team have you seen that just has rookies? Think about the last 10 teams that won the nba championship? ALL good teams have a mix of younger players and vets. I just don't get some of y'all takes.

@@HappyAstronomicalModel-lr5we Contending for what? All this team is contending for right now is the #1 draft pick. San Antonio had a good model for success. So did Dallas. So did OKC. I expect Washington will follow those.

You actually think drafting a bunch of rookies is the answer to building a contending team? So, take Detroit and Orlando. Filled with rookies. Lottery picks at that. Now Orlando is a good team, but guess what they're trying to do. Go get a vet who has more solid experience. Heck word is they're trying to get Klay Thompson. Look at Detroit. Another team. Filled with rookies. Lottery picks so we not just talking any picks. Has it worked out for them? Lol! OKC is a good young team but they're leader wasn't drafted there and Lou Dort was unfrafted. It takes a mix and their are some good players on the Wizards who could very much be a part of the future. Not sure who you think is coming! Lol. Stop thinking the NBA is 2K. Good players don't grow on trees. If you see someone like Poole, Deni, Kispert, Vucevic that have good foundations you don't just let them walk!

I say this with no disrespect but some of the takes on how to build teams that I see coming from Wizards fans tells me all I need to know on why this franchise hasn't been good for decades. The fact that you you would trade Poole and Deni for a good deal is crazy to me. Help me understand. What is a good deal? Picks? The thing about picks is you're never going to be sure that the players you get for those picks will turn out to be as good as the players you traded for them. A great story in the NBA world right now is did the Bucks hand the Celtics their next title by trading away Jrue Holiday. In reality the Bucks didn't need Dame they just needed another 20ppg shooter and should've kept Jrue. Poole and Deni are solid players who are young and still developing but they have the makings of being great players who can help the Wizards go farther. Just going by what the front office has said, they like their core and want to move forward with them and specifically named Poole as apart of the team going forward. I guess you gotta have something to talk about but sometimes your takes are just head scratching .

About JP. Right now, there are 2 options: 1. Becoming the star of the team Meaning keep his style, but be really good 2. Becoming a pure PG. Meaning change his style and game Rebuilding team needs PG with good "game management" that helps other players in their development. They can't use PG that shooting is his first priority, or can't play without the ball in his ends at all (can't be 2), unless he is the future star of the team. Therefore, this is a proven year for JP too. With his current version, other players can't develop to be stars. So he must be a star or change. Personally I hope he will choose option B (pure PGs can be allstars too). Anyway proven year mean, if he isn't options A or B he will be traded next year or even will cut for free (if nobody wants him). He won't be in the wizards for full 3 years unless he is a part in this rebuilding (star or real PG).

Az it stands Wiz have 3 selections but they are spread out a bit too far ....I would prefer to acquire 4 & 8 or 7 & 14 to pair Sheppard & Eady , Castle & Eady, Sarr & Castle etc but however it pans out this draft has quality into the 51st pick and would not be disappointed what combo they elect to fill ...I would not risk a lottery pick on Topich

If we trade Kuz to the Kings, hope we will get 4 expiring contracts with the 13 pick (Barnes and Huerter are overpaid and won't help much). In that case we will probably see more trades, or cuts.

I cannot believe the Wizards are about to have a better future than the absurdly stupid organization that is the Atlanta Hawks. Sarr is the top pick with the most upside in the top five. Instead, rumor has it that the Hawks might draft Mr. Led-feet himself in Clingan who will get played off the court on a consistent basis.

Don't think they have to resign them. Right now there are 13 players on the roster before the draft (and full 15 roster after). Trades or cuts might open more spots and then we will see.

I like Tyus over Poole because I trust Tyus’s decision-making on the court. However, we do need a younger prospect to back him. Poole seems a little “SLOW” mentally to me…he’s talented but, lacks good decision-making and mental toughness!!!

Everybody, this you guys all want to rebuild do you understand the concept of a total rebuild? Which is gonna do they’re gonna trade Kuzma either before or after the draft they will do a silent trade with Jones somewhere so they get more asset. This is about building assets getting as many assets as you can for the future for a rebuild because that’s what they did in Oklahoma, you do fans of the both you expect to win and rebuild you have to take and be the worst team you can minimize your win total over the next two or three years prospects as possible and then after three or four years of doing that see where you lie in the town figure which ones you want to use going forward and which town you can use to trade for other ass feature ass assets or other people to go with the pieces to go without the cord that she built around I’m gonna say there’s three guys on the wizards roster right now. I see the keeping three the two kids from last year and Deni. Eveyone else is gone they will look to try build up few of them next year so they can try to trade them at the break to add future prospects. I expect her to be treated the All-Star break. I believe they will pull this off if they’re looking for otherwise they’ll try to build up and then trade them sometime during the season I think you will definitely see them build up and trade.Bagely and gill and if some how they get him show something Davis , the flat the matter is except for those three guys everybody else expendable you will just need to come in Chris you guys wanted the total tear down rebuild you got to embrace it wizards need to lose as many games as possible over the next two or three years get as many top draft picks as possible draft well and then go from there. You’re not taking on future guys with young Corps players from other teams they want draft picks. That’s what you need to reboot. You don’t want other peoples spare parts. You need draft pics and use those pics to build a court for future, that’s what’s gonna take to win a championship a championship caliber team
