Thinking of voidpunk as a rebellion against meaning, that is, what it means to be human, makes me think the name Voidpunk is brilliant.

My definition of Voidpunk does 🤠; since i see it as futuristic aerospace tech, instead of **this** definition

@@wesbeuning1733 Plenty of love for cosmic horror in voidpunk. It's not quite space but definitely not earth. And, since eldritch entities are often framed as smart as a human but not at all similar to us it's a really cool association to draw upon.

I had never heard of voidpunk before but hit on every level of it (neurodivergent, non-binary, and queer af). Not to mention almost exclusively representing myself with non-human characters. I’m definitely using this word and flag. Thank you for the introduction to it!!

Definitley one of the more BS punk genres; up there with afropunk (which is esentially black flavored graffitipunk or punk in general and its stupid either way you slice it), icepunk (because its just frostpunk for music, they should be one thing) and seapunk (same thing as icepunk but with oceanpunk) I will die on the hill that none of these 4 actually exist.

But i do agree that Voidpunk has a cool name and i have an idea of how to repurpose it: making it a punk genre about futuristic space race tech Basically making Aerospace engineering into a punk genre. As for why it works: space is a Void (certainly not a completely empty void but still), and that works pretty well for the name Examples of this idea of a genre: 2001 a space Odyssey (although its more I-Punk) and Planet 51
