The dwarves find the oddest things cute. Bosco, Doretta, Loot Bugs, and Hexawings are genuinely adorable, as are Steeves since they behave like excited dogs when not murdernomming other glyphids. But Breathers, Cavevines, and Cave Angels? That's just plain goofy.

Mission Control is the middle dwarf between us and management. While he is a killjoy at times, some of that is him keeping it professional, with the rare instance of us annoying him. On top of it all though, he does care. One of the missions for the intro assignment of season three, you can hear the pain in his voice when he tells you that three other teams went down while the player was on Hoxxes, and a detail that is often overlooked: The radio goes both ways. _He heard their screams and could do nothing to save them_ I wouldn't be surprised if the poor sop has PTSD from all the dwarves that went down, even before the Plaguefall.
Rival company's Nemesis using recorded voice line to lure us. Those voices are from the dwarf that its killed. He surely has PTSD. This game surely can go dark sometime.
I think hes human because its been confirmed only the mining teams are exclusively dwarven, and hes saying we "should put those stumpy legs to use!" implying he doesn't have those himself. Also, a voiceline for elimination is a tip to get nitra, no order or what he is paid to say.
Mission control is human. I read somewhere he became an alcoholic for dealing with the stressful job (and dwarven shenanigans). . It's also possible he was a miner in the past. He likes one of scout's guns, the one based on m1 garand.
Don't forget that, unlike most games with an endgame grind involved, you will never be stuck with getting duplicates in DRG. Once you get that one specific mod for your dwarf, you improve your chances of getting everything else.
That's because this game doesn't have micro transactions. It's designed to be fun, not to completely empty out your bank account using gambling addiction research.
2 Important details; Firstly, the generated terrain is ACTUALLY GOOD and not samey. Secondly, the Season stuff is ABSOLUTELY FREE with NO PAID BOOSTER, and even RECYCLES INTO IN-MISSION LOOT POOLS so you don't get FOMO.

The Gunner's ziplines make amazing safety nets against fall damage. Lost count the number of times I or my teammates saved ourselves by grabbing a line
Great time to hop into the game, with season 4 looming around the corner set to arrive on June 15th theres a ton to sink your teeth into, been playing since 2019 and its by far my favourite co-op game by a fair margin.
If you're fighting a bug that can burrow, like a Menace or the Twin Dreadnaughts, you can ping them and the ping will persist even when they burrow to a new location. Also I read somewhere that using explosives on Detonators is bad, I think because it causes the wart things to explode without you getting the full damage out of popping them.
It seems the blisters don't share the 90% explosion damage type resistance that its bulk detonator has. Coincidentally, explosion damage is often high, so what happens is that blisters gets huge damage while the bulk is itself barely damaged. You indeed lose the potential DPS you could deal with other damage types if the blister ain't there to get damaged, obviously. So yup, stick to bullet damage.
I find it amusing that AAA games are failing but this game with barely average graphics, simply complex objectives, and comic violence is so addictive that my brain will default to it whenever I have grown bored of what ever pre-alpha steaming pile disguised as a AAA a title im currently playing. I don't care what my therapist says, mindlessly blasting virtual bug guts all over the cave walls while laughing with my mentality unstable teammates is always good fun! Even if my scout had broke his legs for the 50th time or my driller has decided to send my giggling butt to space with his last satchel charges while the gunner is trying to hug the nearest nuke bug, atleast im laughing so hard my sides hurt.😂
@@pasatebo People default to "barely average" if a game is stylized to any degree and think that if a game isnt photorealistic or near-so, then the graphics are bad. It's simply not the case however
@@colacat1246 nono, he's got a point. everything is made of low-poly models and the textures are anything but high-res, if not just a simple textureless material. but this does not mean that it looks bad, in fact, making use of the dark environment with glowing plants, crystals etc. is done masterfully in this game to make it look truly beautiful. but the graphics themselves are in fact barely average.
@@Gnulcho exactly. Thats what im talking about. In comparison to the graphics of most AAA titles the graphics are not the best but the style in which they are used compliments the graphics in a memorable and interesting way.

Gunner is your saviour in hardest difficulty mission hazard5. He can literally carry whole mission out of the grave. I love making my gunner into tank with 80% damage reduction

Just passed 1000hrs, scout main but at this point the other classes are nearly maxed as well, with scout at max+11. The game is an absolute masterpiece with near infinite replay value. If you learn all 4 classes and how they can help each other, you’ll be conquering haz 5 in no time! Recommend this game to absolutely any gamer who likes fps coop, and it even makes a great “baby’s first FPS” due to lower difficulties and teammates to help
For a fantastically fun time, you can do a 3 length Elimination mission on Haz 4/5, pop all three dreadnought cocoons at once, and watch as things devolve into *absolute chaos* Bonus points if you're one of those damn scout mains who just zips around the problems he caused in the first place XD But seriously, 10/10 would recommend for anyone once they've gotten experienced in the game. Easily the most fun mission I've had in my hundred hours playing!
The scout class is not the only class that can avoid fall damage. The engineer class can also avoid a decent amount of fall damage thanks to an upgrade to the engineers platforms that you get later in the game.
The only thing you forgot is you must bring Doretta's head back, not because management cares but because she is an honorary dwarf and NO...DWARF...LEFT...BEHIND!!!

As average gunner enjoyer i can confirm that playing him doesn't requair a lot of thinking but for defend of my fellow gunners out there we just love BIG guns and listen to some cute music when commiting mass felony while standing in shield middle of nowhere to only later on reflect our life decisions in the bar after accidental lootbug kill in cross fire during a swarm... at least for me
my thing with double dipping is, on a 4 dwarf team just ask if you really need it. 3 dwarfs leave to the person with the least. 2 dwarfs and solo is easy enough to figure out. Rock and Stone!
Great video and phenominal editing! Looks like a big budget channel. Sound levels on your voice over make it a little hard to understand you on headphones though, didnt have that problem on the other voices in the video.

note on overclocks and cosmetic cores. it took me about 650 hours to acquire every weapon overclock AND cosmetic core in the game. I got all the weapon overclocks a long time ago, most of the grind is the cosmetic cores.
bit late to the party but i just have to defend the zipline. Yes it is slow, but it is the best thing to get to a surface that is above or below. Also, the are amazing to avoid fall damage. Rock and Stone
Gunner is by far the most capable at Reviving due to his shield, if you build him right he really can lay out some death, and the zip line is extremely useful for things like Aquartz missions or just moving big heavy rocks over mountains without having to mine a path for two years. Not to mention his zipline is one of the safest places to hold your ground and just kill everything that comes towards you for every dwarf. Plus a well-thought-out zipline can work as fall damage negation if you put one extremely low at the bottom of a pit you can fall and just grab onto it and survive without issue. Also it's really only the slowest reversal tool going up, if you can make a really long one going down a hallway that's covered in slime or lava with it's faster than running and dashing over the hazard than with platforms.
I started playing December last year, I met one of my best friends on drg and he was at 200 hours when we met, now I am almost at 200 hours and I'm already his level and haven't slowed down this addiction
It only took getting half the overclocks unlocked, but I finally have a builds for every character that is both useful and fun. Well, gunners thunderhead is simple but it's fun on Haz 5 when you see a wall of bugs turn into just a wall (with dents)
depends on who you have on you're team. an engineer can really cheese the floor lazers of the Omen since the pads you have to stand on actually have a really high trigger box so you can just make floating platforms above the lazers that still trigger the pads to completely ignore the lazers.
Me and a mate had to fight two bulk detonators during a Doretta mission. Unfortunately we lost, as I was JUST in range as the second died (and my mate was downed)
I pretty much exclusive play Gunner due to the zipline. Feels basically required on a lot of the missions and most people are really bad at placing them or forgot they even have it. Then wonder why everyone is mad at them because we have a sheer cliff and no way up on the way back to the pod

Elimination is by far the deadliest mission type besides maybe Elite Deep Dives. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been the last alive on an elim mission. We’ve also had Bulk Detonators trigger the Dreadnaught fight against our will a few times. Some clutches, some bitter losses, but all fun.
You didn't bring Doretta back, and my disappointment could not be greater. I was once asked why we bring her back and before I could type a response someone else managed to pop out "Ohana means family." The memories I've gained from playing this game are some of my most cherished. The player base is absolutely amazing. EDIT: If you pet loot bugs for a bit, they eventually poot out a few pieces of nice rock for you. No need to pop. Be nice to the squirmy little guys.
I remember the first time i soloed a caretaker I was like *holy sh im pretty sure that was a group mission* Also was such a drag that i never touched that mission again
*FYI: Taking projectile speed with Hyper Prop. is actually a bad idea, as it means your grenades fly so fast, their hot detection can fail, and they can travel _through_ bugs as a client player... Pressure Wave is also bad because it just doesn't work, so Incendiary Compound is still the best option, because it's also bugged, but so rather than converting half your damage to heat damage, it just adds that damage on-top of the disintegration damage from Hyper Prop...
This game is 3 gigabytes by the way. It's a marvel of modern optimization that every AAA game seems to have forgotten how to do. Something that takes up a tenth of your SSD isn't impressive it's wasteful.
Gunner is an odd one, he's on the surface the "ha ha minigun go brrrt" class, but between his shield and his zipline he makes a surprisingly good pocket medic. The shield repels bugs and recharges shields while inside, and the zipline stops melee bugs from attacking you. If played well, the gunner should never go down, and the rest of the team can rest easy that the gunner has their backs if they fall down.
Gunner is kinda odd. If you're playing Haz 3 or lower, he's is pretty boring because there aren't enough bugs to keep you occupied. I think people notice this too and play him last, if at all. I know I did this, he was the last class I promoted after promoting all other classes multiple times. But now I'm a Gunner main and he is in my opinion the most fun and objectively the best sustained horde clear in the game. Haz 5 ain't a problem whatsoever.

The devs recently reworked a dlc cosmetic pack because it felt unsatisfactory to most people, including the devs themselves. Probably will be my first cosmetic dlc for that reason. ROCK AND STONE
