I'm suprised that there hasn't been a news story about one of these guys getting shot by a girl they keep harassing. It pays to be polite, respectful, and cautious when interacting with strangers because you never know what someone could be carrying. Going up to strangers and touching them or blocking their path of escape without permission is never a good idea, especially if you live in an area where people tend to carry concealed weapons.

There is nothing more uncomfortable than a man getting right in your face while you're walking somewhere and forcing you into a conversation. I have no idea why guys think this works or is charming. I had a guy text me every night asking if I was free the next day, and saying how glad he was that he had met me, and sneaking up on me after class to ask me to go to lunch with him. Everything he was doing was probably viewed as "romantic" in movies and TV shows, but I was legitimately terrified to be alone with him. It got to the point that as soon as class ended I would either hang out for 10+ minutes with my teacher (a retired cop) or call my mom or one of my friends to have an excuse not to talk to him, or a "witness" if he did something. It took him a month to finally give up. Pushy, Hollywood-style "wooing" tactics are genuinely frightening.

My guess is that when he's stressed his disordered eating amplifies but to my knowledge he hasn't fully admitted to having a disorder.

@@lmc6738 Hey, I personally have two types of eating disorders, bulimia and anorexia, and the way he speaks about his supposed eating disorder does sound like he does have some amount of it. Honestly, I can see the point he made though. It's a depressing society already when you simply can't read people from their looks, actions and words. Men are supposed to be dependable and understanding to women just as much as they should back to men. Of course Alpha M does not imply to jump the gun and commit sexual violence. What he's really trying to say is that men should still take control of both the situation as well as themselves and know when to stop and such. Men tend to be more attractive when they self sacrifice their time to sit down and get perspective in small moments like that to make sure that the woman they're with right now are having the time of their lives and make sure they're as happy as they can be. Men don't force their way in, men make sure they're welcomed through almost telepathy in a way. The guy who coined the term "alpha" in terms of wolf pack hierarchies even went back and revised his own research, saying his findings were incorrect and that it was originally based on wolves in captivity, not wolf packs in their natural environments. So "alpha males" actually base their whole worldview and opinions of natural hierarchies on outdated, debunked scientific research done on caged wolves. It's amazing to me how much of a "big fish in a small pond" effect these guys think they have, when really they're really the smallest, most insecure fish in the pond. (Contrapoints has an amazing video on incels that's worth watching)

Well, that study on wolf packs does still hold some water. Alpha wolves don't exist in the wild but the concept of dominance certainly does, and wolves still do have a hierarchy, even if that hierarchy isn't what we initially thought it was. A fully grown, strong male wolf, for instance, may try to mount a smaller, less mature male wolf in order to remind him of his strength. But that also doesn't change the fact that humans are not at all related to canines and so the concept of alpha male humans is bullshit. Also, fuck Contrapoints.
