Freddy said one of the wellsprings of power could've been disrupted, I remember Phantom Freddy was at THE Spring of Power from Zelda. So that one was disrupted, we just don't know what he did to it to almost kill Freddy and then later after Golden saved his son, infected him. Maybe whatever dark magic Phantom put in that wellspring of power, it purposely infected Freddy to a point where he almost died, so that Golden Freddy would be forced to transfer his essence and absorb the virus so that Phantom has a chance at defeating his own brother.

Story idea Francine is the one that talks sense into golden Freddy in the one who gave him that idea is somehow Bill Cipher in order to stop him causing the second weirdmageddon Francine needs to team up with some Sonic the Hedgehog characters from the Dragon Blade Channel and some FNAF characters from the other shows even the FNAF characters that don't want to work together with each other but since they're going up against Bill Cipher they have to and it can end with Francine doing some sort of Power Rangers like final attack to completely destroy bill but then again bill is a demon so that's not going to get rid of him forever and it can end with the May the power protect you song from cosmic Fury playing and possibly the spirit of Zordon can be watching all of them and Francine can thank him for everything he's done and the fact that Bill Cipher could come back from something like that isn't really surprising since if you listen to his background message from weirdmageddon part 3 he might as well still be alive and he may as well have hopped into some of the dimension like they could be a timeline version of him which is the one that hopped into this dimension in the meantime language of him could very well be in the real world and if that's the case well we all might as well enjoy our last moments of life because even though Bill Cipher came into our dimension that doesn't mean we have plot on us now to protect us so we might as well enjoy our last moments of life if Bill Cipher actually is in our world

I have a theory as to what may have happened to Freddy all those months ago and why it only affected him specifically. I theorize that Phantom Freddy is behind all of this. Think about it. We don’t hear from the guy for a very long time and then he shows up and then leaves for a very long time again. It would make sense since he hates Golden Freddy and would do anything to his family to get him to break that includes killing Freddy with a virus specifically for him and no one else. We also can’t forget about the other side of Glamrock Freddy either. Those r the 2 most likely candidates but I’m leaning more towards Phantom Freddy given his history with Golden. The other Glamrock Freddy wouldn’t dare get involved unless it actually benefited his goal. But that’s just a theory. A TSBS theory thanks for reading
