Hello! :) I love this video. I just have a question - I couldn't find the 7 qualities (but I counted 4). Can you please say which ones they are? ☺

Thank you so much So like I say in the video it’s not that there’s necessarily 4/ 7 set anything but in this video I would say you can see 4 tones as broadly “head voice, nasal, chest or other”- but within that you can have qualities such as “airy, nasal, vocal fry, back of throat, flat, low, or other”… I’m sorry it’s not so clear cut! Everyone has a different understanding on what is a tone/ zone/ qualitiy based off subjective hearing. The zones are what Edda sharpe and jan Hayden Rowles describe as zonal areas in the mouth and they list 7 of those in the book I mention. Hope that helps :)

I don't like this video. I love it! Wow. Thank you. It's exactly what I wanted to know. I found the airy-floaty vocal quality or tone magical and mysterious; interesting how it works.

Very true. I found out that, no matter what language I speak, some people have some trouble understanding me. And I have the same problem with English: I am able to catch tiny differences while native english speakers are talking. Take two people, same english city, same accent according to them, and I can understand one much better than the other one. BTW, can you tell me something about Samuel Jackson's accent? I love it!

@@AxoHobby “She” reads the comments 😊 I spend 15 seconds introducing the video, 90 seconds explaining the history/ context And 120 seconds coaching viewers on how nuanced this topic is. I realise someone can probably get a lot more views/ attraction by giving straight answers to these but they’re not simple topics and I wouldn’t be an expert in them if I didn’t make it clear how nuanced they are 😊 have a great day!
