What do you carry at work? The challenge isnt just for those with a channel! I'm incredibly jealous if it's all of these cool knives and tools I always see, but I have a suspicion that for a lot of us it's fairly mundane.
I've been in automotive for 10+ years now. Running shops, parts stores, and now a parts department at a dealership. While my EDC isn't focused around fixing cars themselves, it still has to be able to handle everything from opening packages to inspecting, disassembling, and handling parts covered in corrosive chemicals or 100k+ miles of grime. I know that's not as regular as maybe just a badge and a lunch bag, but we all have different needs.
Like, subscribe, and LEAVE A COMMENT! I wanna know what you work carry!
Thanks!

My edc doesn’t change because I work from home full time. I carry way more stuff than you just showed. I’m a gear junkie, well more of a gadget junkie. I live in a place where Earthquakes are not uncommon and we have volcanoes, one of which erupted during my lifetime. There’s a lot of different things that can happen. I wasn’t always this prepared, I guess it came with age and not wanting to not have what I needed when I needed it. Good stuff Conan. I like that you don’t show off a $1,200 pocket kit and find useful tools for reasonable prices. Well done 👍

Natural disasters around me tend to be tornadoes (fortunately?). I carry a rain poncho and emergency blanket in my sling bag, but otherwise what I really need is a sturdy shelter lol Totally feel you on wanting to be prepared. I think it's age and, for me at least, having kiddos. I want to be able to take care of my family and provide even if that just means having scissors to cut the tag off a new stuffed animal in the car instead of waiting to get home 😆 Thanks for checking it out!

Hi. I came over from Anne's channel. Nice channel :) The only thing I carry on me is the SwissCard Classic. At work, in a locked drawer, I have a pouch that contains: SAK-SuperTinker /w plus scales, Gerber Dime, Olightn ir2pro, 2 port charger, short micro USB cable with USB-C adapter, 2 cheap BIC pens, mini BIC lighter, small mechanical pencil, sharpie, small measuring tape, nextool bit adapter and 4 bits, fresnel lens, some first aid stuff, perfume, folded paper and $40. In my car, I have a pouch with SwissChamp, Nextool Black Knight, and PowerPint. These are my SHTF tools. And other knick knacks too numerous to list.

Thanks for checking out my channel! Anne really does do some cool stuff! That's a badass loadout. Love my Dime. How does that Nextool Black knight feel? I've thought about something like that, but it always seems really bulky to me.
@zoephin6205
@zoephin6205 Год назад
True, it is bulky. But it's my $35 "Leatherman" with large scissors and sturdy bit dapter. It works well as a gardening tool, and accompanies my Rangergrip 79 for when I spend the weekend in the forest. I got used to its bulk.

LOVE my Thug 2.0! Rotates pretty frequently in my edc. Small, but still beefy, and just *feels* good to use. I've spent years doing either the same or similar jobs to what I do now, and always thought about getting a calculator watch. My main justification is "cuz I wanna" 😆, but it helps to have numbers centric job. But it's like my other edc items at this point. I didn't realize how much I really rely on something like it (a regular calculator), and it's made things way more convenient!

Very nice EDC lineup! Thanks for sharing it and thank you so much for the mention! I appreciate that! I saw those Ozark trail packs but never picked one up.. I'll have to keep an eye out for that. Also, I've been thinking about a power pint but just haven't pulled the trigger yet... Great tools! Thanks again!

The holiday packs can be real hit or miss it seems. Picked up a few now, and definitely looking out at next year's to see what they off. I mean, you get what you pay for- which is perfect if you just want to pay for a throwaway 😆 The powerpint on the other hand is 100% worth the money. Still my favorite multitool ever. It's now gone in my edc mini tool kit, but that's only because I find myself needing good scissors over a driver these days. Thanks for watching and keep up the great work!

2 is 1, 1 is none 🤷‍♂️ My work edc varied over the years depending on work. I was a corrections officer for yrs so we were restricted to what we could carry. Then i went to the court house in an office position and the restrictions were even worse.🙄 Some of what i carried we just will not talk about, but there was always 2 flashlights, main use (tactical) and backup. A couple of pens at least one was full metal body and a pad of paper of course. Footwear was always very specific to my liking. Issue boots were horrible so i bought my own 😉. Yes i wore tac boots in the office 🤭 Glasses with slight tint and safety rated. Tint was to help with the florescent lights as well its an mental advantage when others cant see your eyes. Never wore and still dont wear a watch. I carry a pocket watch. Wearing a watch usually shows your dominant hand as well gives something for others to grab and hold onto. Vrs your plain wrist which is harder to hold onto. Items on belt or other parts of the exterior of clothing spread out both sides, again try not to show dominant hand. For keys i still have and use my metal belt clip for keys. Although i have recently acquired a smaller less aggressive one for "nicer" dressing days. Ex church. Thanks again for a great video and a different perspective. Cheers 🍻
@ConansEasyDadCarry
@ConansEasyDadCarry Год назад
Love the different perspective. Can't imagine having to be as mindful about a carry, but I've also never had to be as hypervigilant at work as you. And man, solid footwear is 100% worth every penny. Spending most of my time at work standing and walking on bare concrete often cover in slick and or corrosive chemicals has made me very conscious of my comfort. "Never skimp on anything between you and the ground" is an old saying my grandpa always used to tell me and he was 100% correct!

I carry a Kobalt utility knife, my watch, my phone, my wallet, my keys, an Olight, a Leatherman Wave until my free gets here, a terminal screwdriver, a pair of knipex pliers, a note pad, 2 pilot pens, 2 zebra pencils, 2 inkzalls, a hankie, a IFAK, and a carpenter pencil. I'm an industrial electrician and own my own general maintenance and landscaping company as well. The only thing I change out is outside of the university I do electrical work, I carry a pistol. I also have a whole golf cart of tools at the university, and I have a full tool box in my personal truck for my company. I'm hoping by next year to be profitable enough to do my own business because I hate the politics with the university.

@ConansEasyDadCarry thank you! I'm currently reading this on my lunch break at my main job. I'll get off at 0600 and go home to nap for a few hours before I go do a few jobs for my personal company. I've got a porch to paint, yard to cut, and two estimates to do. Luckily the porch is two banisters, trim, and hand rails not the whole thing, it's the same place for the yard, and one of the estimates is for the same client too. The other estimate is a bigger job doing a master bed and bath remodel. Luckily I work nights at the college so I can do day jobs with enough time to get some sleep.

@ConansEasyDadCarry
@ConansEasyDadCarry Год назад
@@marcramirez1986 Awesome! I love a solid rounded loadout that can carry anywhere! My favorite light is by far the Olight I5R. 350 lumens is pretty good. The design, form, and function is great. I've been beating the hell out of mine for over a year, and it still performs like day 1. And I love that I can drop a AA in it while the lithium ion is charging. There's other out there like it- but the design and ascetic is super cool. What about you?
@marcramirez1986
@marcramirez1986 Год назад
@@ConansEasyDadCarry that is a awesome flashlight I love the i5r 350 lumens I think it's one the best aa size flashlights out there! I myself own a red i5r !! And as for my favorite flashlight I think I would have to say the streamlight macrostream 500 lumens I always carry that one with me even if I have other flashlight's on me chances are that I will probably have that one on me as well! It's a great light but the reason why it is not the only flashlight that I will be carrying on me is because you can't use a regular aa battery in it! So if it dies on you¡ You will either have to charge it or put in a 14500 lithium ion battery to get it to work again!! Have you ever owned the streamlight macrostream 500 lumens?? It's the bigger bother to the streamlight microstream! 250 lumens¡¡¡!??
@ConansEasyDadCarry
@ConansEasyDadCarry Год назад
@@marcramirez1986 I've owned a few actually! Streamlight is pretty popular in shops, so I've picked up a few. But I've lost them all! A LOT of money wasted 😪 It's why I like $30 or below in general on flashlights. Doesn't break my heart when I inevitably lose them 😅
