Great Analysis! its nice to see the charts and i agree with the logic it was multiple factors involved but we can see from the numbers that the floor has been raised ever since the cn drama happened and more people flocked to snow break. the 1 banner per patch was a good thing at launch when everyone was new and helped keep the fomo down, a little too good imo since i was getting bored not being able to scratch that gacha inch! lol. I disagree a little about about comment that people only want meta dps characters, generally speaking yes but in this game supports are pretty cracked so they are just as valuable as main dps. i.e. Tess revenue was high despite being 2 previous back to back support banners coming before her and her whole niche is ult recharge which very few operators can take advantage of so i think its just that people like new characters in general since patches are so long & katya was an anomaly just due to her being a complete new arche-type, meta, was a character in the story, hot, fanservice. whole package deal
The fanservice most definitely did help. If there was no sexy skin on best monthly pass, without a doubt vast majority would not upgrade it. overall the quality of content has increased, however the Eatchel patch had terrible multiplayer "defend the area" mode, it was not good.
Hi, as I said in the video, fanservice was probably a factor. But the amount of fanservice doesn't line up at all with the amount of revenue so there must have been larger factors in play during the period covered by this data. We also can't really separate monthly passes from everything else because we just don't have such specific info. However, with the exception of maybe patch 1.3, every monthly pass has had a sexy skin so we wouldn't learn much even if we could get separate numbers.
