@@stephaniemurdakhayev8714 I was very, very optimistic after the first injection. The second one, however, was a disappointment. I’m not sure if the doctor make a mistake with the injection as the pain was intense. I would definitely try it for your tendonitis.
I had acl surgery about a month and a half ago and am looking into prp injections for helping with pain and swelling and stiffness in my knee. I hope this works because it still hurts to move a lot.
Greetings Sir, I have got 2 prp injections till now and I was doing easy running intervals for 30 sec -1 min or 5km brisk walk on the treadmill. As I was told that running thickens cartilage. Please guide. The CMP pain when doing knee extensions (without any weights)persists. I got second dose in 8 days. What's the right duration for the 3 doses?
i only found out about not using NSAIDS a while after already having taken a tablet. would a single tablet affect the prp outcome? this is on the same day as the injection was received.
My partner had lower back prp injections month ago and is now supposed to do excercises, next doc visit is after another month. But the pain hasn't gone anywhere and now he cant even stretch, the pain is different now and feels like he will snap his back or loose feeling in his leg if he stretches a bit more. Is that common during recocery?
Hello sir I got prp in my costochondrial joint and back of shoulder blades I get flare ups here and then its been 2 weeks now should I wait longer for results?or should I schedule more prp in 2 weeks
Hi Doc. I had PRP done 3 weeks ago into a lower back disc, L5 S1. I still feel even worse pain now... is this normal? As im reading varying articles that it is.
Good to know. I had prp on both of my knees (osteoarthritis) on March 6 2021 and slowly I am getting better. I ride my bike and go about my daily routine ie., grocery shopping, house shores etc. I don’t feel tenderness anymore just a little stiffness and can’t extend my left knee when I walk. But over all I am getting better. I may have another round of prp injection. Thanks for the tip.
I'm not an Dr but I just had prp and my Dr told me not to take curcumin because the area where platelets are injected need the inflammation in order for the platelets to do their job
Hi doc, I'm 29 and suffering from bilateral knee pain for 2.5 years. Doctor said that there is inflammation in my tendons, bursitis and cartilage degeneration but the root cause is not known yet. He gave me my first PRP injection 2.5 weeks ago but till now I didn't find any difference. Can you please tell me how much time usually it takes to show the effect? I started learning swimming after 2 weeks. Is it good to avoid all other activities apart from daily life activities after PRP? Or these low impact exercises will help?
yes. ice is fine. there are many protocols out there and all are “opinion based”. I have been utilizing PRP for 13 years, and I do not recommend any restrictions other than avoiding high impact activities fir 4 weeks.
Yes. After 13 years of doing these injections, I have found there is no benefit to shutting things down. I typically tell patients ti avoid heavy lifting, impact activities (ie. Running, jumping) but low impact activities are fine and do not effect outcomes.
Is there anyone who has healed his his knee cartilage permanently with PRP? I'm young female with grade 3 chondromalacia and meniscal degeneration of grade to.. Even walking a few steps is impossible... Can I be ok permanently with PRP shots? From India 🇮🇳
