What Should The Stones Play On This Tour??

The Stones kickoff the 2024 Hackney Diamonds tour on April 28th which means that in the next few weeks they will be heading into rehearsals to begin putting together the show for this tour.
Besides "Jumpin Jack Flash" and "Honky Tonk Woman" the Stones will also rehearse some rarer played songs to include in this year's tour. They might unearth a song they have never played live or bring back a song they haven't played in a long, long time. Either way, there is hope for some cool moments on this tour.
What should they play?? Got a favorite song you've always wished for the to play? Put it in the comments!

Even in 1994/1995, Mick struggled a bit with 'Love Is Strong' (the first verse is too low, the rest is too high). A shame, as I think it's one of the best things they've ever done.

Wished they'd perform "Coming Down Again" from Goats Head Soup. They NEVER played that awesome tuné Live... Love your list..unfortunately they seem to go down a song each tour.. so likely only 17 songs. Like you added the best of the new stuff. But, you have to add Keith's song Tell Me Straight. I believe in tossing satisfaction, too. Room for more songs and he nvr uses fuzz guitar live anyway

Love the Don’t Stop choice! You can really hear the distinct playing by Ronnie (left speaker) and Keith (right speaker) on this one. Ronnie’s leads on this one, for me, are very reminiscent of his days with the Faces.

Set list boredom is a major topic at one of my favorite Stones’ message boards. If you’re tired of JJ Flash - you’ve probably seen the band too many times - if that’s even possible. For me, they can play anything they want from the new album - it’s that good. But how can you not play Ruby Tuesday, Waiting on a Friend, Shattered, Angie, Wild Horses and others? Those were big hits!

She’s a rainbow, under my thumb, sweet virgina , wild horses would be nice would also be cool to 100 years ago and shine a light played for the first time in awhile. Hope you got the sliver stays a pretty consistent feature. Also have a feeling shattered is gonna get played pretty consistently possibly a show opener like they did for there live performance in nyc?

Please - not Tell Me Straight. Its the 15th version of the same song Keith has been trotting out since Undercover !! On the other hand, doing Happy the way it was done in '72 - with Mick & Keith both singing the chorus would be good. A couple of tracks from Blue & Lonesome - cos the songs suit Mick's vocals. A few less of the standards - and a few more hidden album-gems

Tell Me Straight--- that would be a great choice in the "Keith set" ! Of course what songs I would really like set list wise would never be considered. That being said, I think the live arrangements of some songs need to be tightened up. That would allow maybe 2 more songs in the set without extending the actual running time of the show.

I would love to hear Under Cover of the Night coz it is one of my all-time faves - along with Saint of Me. I'd also like to hear Doom & Gloom, She's a Rainbow, Shattered, Out of Control, Can't You Hear Me Knocking and Dead Flowers, plus obviously some songs from Hackney Diamonds. The Last Time and Satisfaction were what made me a Stones Fan from a very early age - so I love other songs, but too many to list here!

I know they would never play it, but if I could have one, wish it would be winter. They could replace say Angie or Wild Horses and throw that one in there. For Keith coming down again. But since he will most likely play Tell Me Straight, like you suggested, it’ll never happen either.

“Angry”, “Bite My Head Off”, “Tell Me Straight” are the HD additions. I am pretty confident “Mothers Little Helper” is gonna be the dust off song this time around (Like “Emotional Rescue” in the 2012 tour, “Out Of Time” in the 2022 Tour). They did a terrific run through of it during one of their sound checks in 2022 and it just makes sense with their age 😂 Other than the HD additions, MLH, Vote Song, just standard war horses !!

Ya-Ya's version of Stray Cat Blues. I wish they'd do 2 nights at arenas in some smaller cities as opposed to all stadiums. Since there's only 3 left it would be cool to have a more intimate setting. But not likely. There's no KC date currently. Would go if there was but I don't think I'll travel this tour. My memory of the 2015 show its so wonderful that I think that I'll wait till they do a Farewell Tour. It'd be great for them to get Bill and MT in the band for the whole show on that. Get Bill some valium and a bus.

If they played the entire Undercover album, I'd be in heaven lol. Although I'd settle for Too Much Blood. I also wouldn't mind them playing anything from Between The Buttons other than Let's Spent The Night Together and Ruby Tuesday. So many good songs on that album. And bring back Brown Sugar!
