Considering the amount of personal debt in the West it's fair to say that it is a luxury to have any partner at all these days. As I'm in a monogamous relationship by choice, I can only reiterate that when people have more than one partner, then all of the people involved or affected need to give consent.

I think this is a debate over semantics. If someone says that they are “single”, as in not officially committed with someone, then that’s not lying. Often when dating, I usually asked if they were “talking” to anyone else, as well. I’d make my call from there. However, if truth has been confirmed and both parties are being safe, what is wrong with casual sex between two consenting adults? I think making this generalization of women juggling guys is not fair. Most if not all the women I dated before I met my wife were good people and socially traditional.

As a bachelor, single means SINGLE....no dating relationships/short term flings with anyone. My last dating relationship ended 10 years ago and I was completely SINGLE as I had to concentrate on the family responsibilities of being a caregiver to my elderly parents until their deaths, with my mother's death being only a year and a half ago. She said that’s exactly why she’s not dating anyone else. She told me she think that would probably be a smarter way to date, you shouldn’t feel committed and get so attached to every person you date, before you even know if they have any of the qualities of whatever it is you’re looking for. I have a friend that’s been in a committed relationship for several years, I know early on they were both dating and sleeping with multiple people. They were always honest with each other about that. When you’re dating, you’re dating. Seeing what’s out there, finding what you like. You don’t owe anyone anything just because you’ve been on a few dates. Commitment should be something you talk about, not something expected because your insecurities couldn’t handle it otherwise.

Yea I’ve heard this one while I was out with this gal & she kept getting text messages on her phone while we were having dinner. When I asked her if everything was ok or if something was wrong, she says “you have to understand I have a lot of male friends “. So after that episode she had one less “male friend “(Me) Then much to my surprise I find out later she was criticizing me behind my back because I did things for my family if they needed something. Most attractive "single" women that are "dating" have options. Lots. Dating is seeing 2-3 at least. If they say they want someone that is "emotionally" available, they probably have been in the market for a long while and are juggling like a clown but expect you not to be.

But when they start hitting their 30’s, 40’s & 50’s & wants to start settling down, it’s different & more difficult, especially when they start losing their looks. Meanwhile, men have advantages *especially* as they’re older. See, older women will _always_ have to be in competition with younger women, especially with women overseas. That’s when modern women start losing in. Women need men more than men needs them.

@@WizardOfWor I agree but even the women in their 30s use the term "dating" a bit differently than men do, especially the more average men. Dating is dating around multiple people. they will drag men out for months while the men will not. Men will typically date one, maybe two at time in a short few weeks and then only date one chick for a while. Women have more options to date around more loosely. So many chics seems to want a quick date for a meal. if you miss that timing, you wont get a date bc they have so many others on the line! this is my experience with Bumble where they are the ones swipping me first. If I'm not super enthusiastic and carry the conversation and ask them out quickly after they swipe me, many move on. bc they already have other options. I'm talking like 6s and 7s. I'm about a 7 if you are looking for a 6'3 205 build that isn't super buff. when my bumble is active I get 10-20 swipes a week.
