Because of this video i finally ordered the correct belt size. I started with the 842 then the 835 not realizing i needed the 743 because i have a short case with 10" wheels.

You might be boring to someone who has not replaced their own belt yet. But I learned a couple of things here. For those who put the correct belt on and find it don't fit,. Turn it over.🤗

my belt now is 842-20-30 and i just order a 828-22.5-30 i am wondering what will be the difference or it will couse trouble one's im rolling with the 828-22.5-30? from what i undertand, 842 is the circle size of the belt,my belt is kinda lose thats why i chose 828 so it will give me a little bit of a snug from the varator and the clutch. 20 is the width of the belt, im thingking that it may help to go more top end cousing the clutch or the spring to squiz more. 30 is the hight of the belt. is it gonna couse a trouble at the end or is my clutch will be on strees cousing the whole clutch to wobble? does any body have try this set up yet? i would love to know the answer. thanks for posting this video i learn alot about belt.

I get that this video is now approaching 8 years, but I am 99% certain that the Gates belt shown here (788 x 18.1) is a counterfeit item. It's not listed in the catalog and the markings are all wrong. Real Gates belts are great.

Belt that came on my baja sc50 is 836-17-30 ... feels impossible to find a direct replacement. Would a more common 835-17-28 work okay on it as a substitute?

If you have a 835-20-30 belt can you jump to a 842-20-30 and see any kind of gains in speed with a stock variator setup for a 150cc long case with 12 inch wheels cause I have a VIP powermax with the 835belt but the chuckus I use to have had a 842 belt same engine 157qmj

how do i know what size kev belt to get. i have a keeway 150cc with 12" wheels. my current chinese belt is 828X20.1X30. so what would be the best replacement 742, 835, 842...etc...i don't have a clue lol

My belt claims to be 835 - 20 - 30, I got a new one as it was old and thought might aswell replace it. same size, 835 - 20 - 30 just made of a better material. I had it fitted, got halfway down the road before it screeched. the new belt is 20mm, however after checking the old belt I found it was 17-18mm being a 835 - 18 - 30. the new one was causing friction against part of the variator. not sure what todo as I cant find a 835 - 18 - 30

I have the MC-08-50b Benzhou scooter and the numbers on my belt don't match any that you had just mentioned. I believe what is telling me is 7.7 X 681 Which belt should I get for the scooter? Also, when I take the case off the spring dropped out and a piece of metal that was broken fell out to. Can you give me some direction on this please

I believe that 4,000km is what you are going to get no matter what belt you use,,,,, you lose 1hp for every 500 miles on a cvt transmission so that being said a cheap chinese belt will without a doubt get you 4,000km and between $7-$10 to replace.

My stock belt is 818-19.7-28 but there isn't a Gates belt in that size. They have one that is .7mm narrower 818-19-28. Am I stuck with the factory size or would the Gates belt work? This is on a Sym 200i.

I have the scooter, 2014 Motomia 170 Sport. I want buy a new drive belt, because the old one did broke off. The service put the 856x25x30 drivebelt, but it kept 3 months, then it broke off again. The other shop did say I must buy 835x20x30 drivebelt. Why is it different? I want know about the specific size of drive belt for Motomia 170cc. Their band size is 13". Thanx Sam

And I ordered the belt you said that goes on there but it is a little bit too wide and too short. And no where online can I find a belt that matches the numbers with the old belt! hi, i had the belt changed on mine by a garage. but the ride doesnt feel like it did with the old belt. its a 125cc and a could comfortably reach 50-60mph and it felt stable. now if i try to take it above 45mph it feels unstable. could they put the incorrect size belt in and thats causing the problem?
