I don't think tendon ruptures are a 'random' side effect. Anabolic steroids do a wonderful job building muscle mass and users will increase the load they put on their muscles much more quickly than a non-user. However, tendons aren't being strengthened at the same rate as the muscle mass, so the strain they are put under happens much more intensely and can cause ruptures.
@zydomason
@zydomason 14 дней назад
Or, PERHAPS, steroid users tend to be people who push themselves more regardless of the doses and thus having higher injury rates?
@carbine090909
@carbine090909 14 дней назад
Good point! Well, it's a _likely consequence,_ but it isn't _directly caused_ by the androgenic steroid use. The imbalanced load is the direct cause. But - was it brought about by having too much muscle, or too much torque applied too quickly, or a lack of flexibility for too long, or a problem with minerals or ions, or disease, or age, or a crooked coach, or a crooked stair... Those things are all random. Increased odds of rupture might be predicted as a consequence of androgenic steroid use, but where, when, and how it happens is random, as is recovery. I could also rupture my muscle going down the same set of crooked stairs, or because I listened to the same crooked coach, even though I've never taken a steroid. But if I suddenly started growing a beard - that's directly caused by using steroids, and it would happen even if I was calmly meditating in a room filled with pillows. There's no other cause, no other explanation, so it's not random. That's my take on it.

Most of my experience with corticosteroids comes from skin irritations like psoriasis. I tried to find a good solution but the doctors always recommend them. I’m not a fan of them because I am a fan of my liver so I kept researching. Eventually I read a book on Ayurveda and it literally changed everything for me. No more psoriasis and I’ve even managed to stop medication for gout. Some of the foods that I thought was healthy like ground flaxseed, kimchi and other fermented foods was actually making my body run “hot”. That excess heat (pita) was causing the inflammation. Once those were eliminated and other substitutes like chia seeds instead of flax helped cool my system down. It’s a game changer for sure.

Been going to the gym a lot the past years, and not that I myself have ever wanted to use roids (barely touch alcohol), but I have seen a lot of people I know at the gym that want to use it, and are weighing the positives and the negatives. This goes even further with younger and younger people wanting to use them. This is a very scary development in my eyes. The image people have of what you need to look like, really make people go through whatever their influencer of choice vouches for, or roids that might help them look like them (because they go at the gym for years with no substantial result might make them want to take quick fixes, like roids). I think that is one issue, that a lot of people that uses roids online, but say they are "natty" (natural) when they in reality aren't at all.

Like if you have a hormone condition that cause you to have less than normal Testosterone levels for someone of your gender / age / weight / height. I'm curious if a vasectomy (the snip) will affect testosterone levels. I'm not sure what gets snipped and tied down there, but I'm unsure if that would affect the signaling pattern of luteinizing hormone. I had a vasectomy a few years ago and my testicle seem to be a little bit smaller. I think that would be a great idea for a video.

A vasectomy only cuts the vas deferens, the tubes that carry sperm from the testicles to the urethra. It in no way affects hormones.

Steroids are fascinating. I really didn't understand gender reassignment therapy until I started to see the impact steroids have on completey (almost) restructuring a person's body. This therapy has been around since the 60s but has only recently attracted wide public attention - well, it did in the 70s but not much in the intervening half century. Steroids are also an important part of the supplements marketplace and our cultural commitment to technology as a universal panacea supports their spread.

Missed the most important part. Once you alter any hornones after a short period your auto piolet stops working and you become the one having to shift the gears. Only problem is you cant see the speedometer unless you get blood work which obviously you cant do every day. So its easy to potentially have your estogen go to high or low which can lead to hellish symptoms. Wouldnt wish crashed estrogen on any man. The second point is that you can't be on steriods year round. It is toxic for your system so you must cycle on and off at a 1 to 2 ratio (more or less). During this transition period your testosterone is basically zero as your body gets use to not having it supplied for. If your lucky this period usually last a few weeks to a few months. Which is far from a fun time since you have to take a PCT to rebound your body. The PCT helps with not skyrocketing your estrgoen as when you come of testosterone your body is left with all of this estrogen. Hormones have a massive effect on your brain and body. Having these balances out of sink changes you as a person dramatically. High horomnes exacerbate your personality (whatever emotions or feelings you have are usually over the top) and when your hormones are low they are the other way. You will have high highs and low lows. The suicide rate for steriod users is disproportionately high. But all of these effects heavily depend on gentics.

@@alextomlinson You feel like a zombie. Numb of emotion or drive, the thought of doing just basic chores is a hurtle. Your libido is zero, brain fog, no appetite, no strength, joint pain specifically your knees and calves, dehydration, dry skin. It can be confused for depression but I'd argue it's worse, your not sad your literally nothing, if anything its just an anxiety feeling as your body knows something is off but it doesn't know what.
@alextomlinson

@@wt8213 Wow how would you even get that fixed? Through diagnosis and treatment? How would they diagnose it
@wt8213
@wt8213 5 дней назад
@alextomlinson If your still on testosterone or any sort of steriod your estrgoen is always going up from each injection as your body isn't very efficent with all of it so it converts some of it to estrogen hence why you take an estrogen blocker to begin with. Its when you take to much blocker is when you crash it. Finding the sweet spot of keeping some estrgoen but not crashing is the hard part. Some people's bodies have a large range others extremely delicate. If you get your estrgoen to low it would rebound naturally eventually. It would just depend on your genetics. Some people a few weeks some people a few months. The tricky part is that a lot of low and high symptoms are the same so without blood work you can be hesitant to do anything about it as you could think its high when really its low or vise versa. Taking more blocker when its low would be the worst thing ever and not taking blocker when its high is not fun either.

I still can't get behind medical professionals pushing AG1. I get it, you would rather make that sponsor money than tell people to just eat fruits and vegetables, or the fact that there are much cheaper options for greens supplements. As you're a business owner, I get it, but as a medical professional, I'm a bit disappointed. It's not like you're some bs influencer, you literally have the education to know better, and to do better.

If you notice, many medical professionals and scientists (The Huberman Lab) have AG1 as a sponsor. Yes, if we could all eat lots of fruits and veggies it would be better; however, the reality is that many won’t but will take AG1. Yes, there are less expensive alternatives; however, their quality control might not be great. AG1 has a great reputation and has been subjected to many studies. As the supplement industry is unregulated, this is important. I think AG1 is one of the few that many can ethically support.

@@Atmurph713 First of all, smd, second of all, any medical profession that is willing to shill for that pos company, is not a trustworthy individual. They are only doing it for the money, and not based on it's effectiveness. This is due to them lifting heavier weights than they should. Tendon strength has to catch up to muscular strength (which is accelerated on steroids).

I believe a lot of them take HGH as well, that not anabolic to muscles but for things like connective tissue. Bad lifting techniques can damage both, we still see a number of old techniques used and promoted by PT's.
