England fan here….and I will not miss a Razor interview / presser in the future. Great down to earth likeable guy and I wish his tenure with the AB’s goes well which it should as he has got serious talent at his disposal. I think we can expect a much sharper AB team at Eden park next week and here’s hoping we can up our game to match.
As an England fan, you cant help admiring his empathy with Marler and the way he onow English players first names. Speaks well, doesnt he? Think NZ have got a good era ahead if then.
Many AB fans are just happy to have a change of guard & some fresh ideas, Hansen was Henrys assistant & Foster was Hansens assistant so basically the same coaching IP since 2004..our rugby had gone pretty stale as a result.
@user-eq9jv5uf7d Spot on we been playing the same style for over 15yrs if not longer. It worked and won alot of games for us but teams worked us out. Let the new era begin.
England's defense was insane. I hadn't watched rugby in over 5 years or more, but i watched the game and it was nail biting. The skills have increased. But man look at their legs! it's insane even since 10 years ago, the players are so much thicker and bigger lol
Love this guy. Asks about Joe Marler, “Ahh he’s definitely out then, poor old Joe” winces and then hides a smile. Sympathy but also knows that an advantage to his team. I have a feeling the ABs are going to be very good under him.
fresh of breath air is an understatement. what a likeable man. he seems like he's outside of corporate speak and may it forever remain. This man does not need media training.
'Q 'A couple of lost lineouts last night what do you put that down to?'' A='Maro'' love the simple honesty and giving credit where it's due. No BS from Razor, long may it continue.
@@johnbenefield922 No need to gate keep mate I’ll say what I want to say. I didn’t say anyone was better or worse. We kind of got used to AB’s coaches sounding … dry. Compared to other coaches, Razor is more positive and transparent. Considerably. And that’s a fact.
@@mungoblizzard6114 yeah we will know more a lot more by the time we play South Africa, would have been together for a while by then and we will be playing the number 1 side
@@mungoblizzard6114now that you've mentioned that man that's how great the all blacks can be how fast they can get there game on against a battle hardened team it's crazy!
Wasnt Expecting a massive win against England especially for razors first game, International footy is way more difficult then club footy and ppl forget dat, but overall a solid way to start ur reign
What a nice, honest bloke. I liked what he said about trying to simplify the game for the players so they can make quick decisions on the field. I feel English coaches are sometimes guilty of the opposite and our players often look uncertain with the ball in hand.
NZ needs a better kicker. With the margins so tight between the top 4-5 teams, taking every point is important (as shown in RWC23). DMac missing the two conversions, and then the clock running down on his penalty kick, is not acceptable. NZ needs a kicker with >90% success rate.
thats very true. However i think the boks kicker went at 50% so at this point in time, looks like there arent too many quality kickers around, or at least consistent ones.
Wish him luck in a tough job. However, hope we manage a small miracle and beat the ABs at Eden Park. I’m expecting the comment, it’ll need a ‘big miracle’. Might be true - but close and competitive rugby is what we all want. A good game of a wonderful game. Here’s hoping.
@@DRE-HRUYANthey have just finished their season. This is the end of year tour for them and all Northern Hemisphere sides. Like we do in November when we go up to them
Came up short with an unfortunate red card in the finals otherwise they were finding gaps behind the defence with some fantastic placed chip kicks here and there from Richie Mounga Dmac and Jordie were finding gaps to put the ball into but need to find a way to maximise those gains I’m sure Razor will find the answers
These teams have some things in common. They both lost to SA by 1 point last time they played them. They both beat Ireland last time they played them. The AB's had home advantage. England had the advantage of more time together as a squad, a warm up game on the way over, and more recent international competition. I really do not know where this expectation that the AB's will win easy comes from. I always thought it knife-edge. Robertson, despite the hype, has one thing at least in common with his predecessor. The coach does not get out and play the game, there are 23 other blokes who do that.
Off one game lmfao! Ok special timmy! How about stale Richie mo’unga against South Africa multiple games. He ONLY could kick. Carter could kick and attack, mo’unga can only kick with the very rare attack and McKenzie can kick and attack but isn’t consistent! Johnny sexton can kick and attack. Not sure some of you special Timmy’s know the job of a 10! You clowns need to stick with cricket😂😂😂
McKenzie missed two from right on the side line. Carter is one of a kind but he also missed some from the sideline. McKenzie had the highest success rate of any goal kicker in super rugby, don’t write him off because of one poor goal kicking game
We will miss Aaron Smith TBS.. the most underrated player of the past decade. He gave that fast ball like no other. GOAT in my opinion in terms of half backs
World rugby im happy was learning some? Referee was good and referee was leading game about rules. TMO was respect referee and helped out if they was need help or called for. 🙏 referees in future getting all suport to do they job. Anotherway world rugby getting it hard find finding good referees to do they job.
I love how SR feels like a REAL person with natural love for this game, honest, and with a wide and gifted mind that sees all options, but precise as a dart on what matters. But I can’t help but feel like he is a fella well acquainted with the joys of marijuana and mushrooms. Could be exactly what rugby needs. Doubt Beaumont agrees🤣!
NZ wouldve romped England but for bad hands the amount of times they dropped the ball on attack was frustrating however it was the first game under a new coach against a good English side that beat Ireland and only lost to SA by 1 putting that into perspective it was a good win for NZ first up i think they will be a lot better next week
England are mediocre at best. One good game in the 6 nations against Ireland. NZ at home should be putting teams like this to the sword. They were poor, next week will be interesting.
@@Trajan2401SA won their RWC play-off matches by 1 point, and could not score a try against 14-man NZ in the final so they were not that great either...
Coach Scott 'Razor " Robertson must stick to his game plan, and his enovative and style he does in his coaching methods. Saying that, he must only pick the Best players and new youngsters coming through the ranks. Consistency and Momentum to carry them through.
This “more ball in play time = more entertaining” narrative always amazes me, certain coaches and pundits just talk as if it’s fact without giving any evidence to support that idea whatsoever. Some fans love scrums for example, but mainly there is just no evidence that suggests faster and more ball in play means a better sport. League has more ball in play time…less popular than Union. Sevens has more ball in play time…less popular than Union. By their logic the NFL should have no fans because a game takes 3 hours and is full of stoppages with long periods of time with no ball in play…but no it’s pretty damn popular isn’t it. Give fans some credit, we aren’t labradors.
@@cotswoldcuckoo No Finau got a head knock we went off for the rest of the game. He says it in this interview that Finau has passed all his tests and should be good for this weekend
@@PearceStephens its about taking the opportunities when they present themselves i was confident the all blacks were gonna run away with it prior to pj leaving the game his replacement slowed the attack down with his delayed passing

@@bittersweet340 we are not at the world cup did you not understand my comment our current all black squad are wat better than last night pj was the difference
Out of interest why was McKenzie smiling with his kicks. He missed a fair amount and it came across as arrogant. He also lacked in open play. NZ deserves the win, they took their chances and to see Scott Robinson in charge - about time. Just feel Barrett would be a better call
@@user-nxwsSooAsRz goodness gracious me. He is focused on the fkn kick. This is part of his routine/process. He has been doing this for ever and no one has a complaint until this single incident. Get over it because if he plays next week you will see him do the blooming same thing. It's his little personal peculiarity. We all have them, even you. Geezzz.!!!
Every All Blacks coach has been awesome bud. This is just a younger and more engaging one. Ian Foster took the AB’s to the toughest World Cup and if it wasn’t for Wayne Barnes we would have won. Barnes and his TMO corroborating made a team that dominated in every metric have a loss. No team in World Cup rugby that have dominated in that many metrics has ever lost. He had to red card a captain and not red card a similar infringement, also illegally disallowed a try which they admitted was an error. That’s a win to me.
@@poerava Rubbish. Griz Wiley inherited a great team & ruined them by the time he left. Foster was crap his whole tenure. His saving grace was when he was forced by the NZRFU to take on Ryan & Schmit for the world cup. It was those 2 that almost won the cup, not Foster.!!!
@@rekoawa5732 There’s a lot of moving parts to blame that all on Griz mate. Also with Foster, that was a PR stunt to calm the public down and put on new assistant coaches. Also the players would disagree with you about Fozzie. Do you think the players are lying? Robbed of the World Cup by admitted errors by world rugby. You’re a couch potato mate. I haven’t played professional footy but I have played clubs and know a good half a dozen of current and ex all blacks mate. There’s a lot to coaching mate.
@@knowhowmedia5889 What’s BS bud. Do you want to specify what you are responding to. Hopefully Razor can take the all blacks to a new high. Beating Steve Hansen’s win record of 87% and an undefeated year in 2013 will be very very very impressive. Fingers crossed he can though.
