Even though this is the highest viewed compilation of this I believe, the editing is dreadful from uploader. Missing bits, random bits of no context Rockbusters left in, random ending mid sentence, no follow up on several of the topics etc

A lot of books mention the story Karl says for cold shoulder, but the "experts" don't believe it to be true. They figure it to be more literal, about turning your back/shoulder on someone you want to exclude. The cold referring to not being nice, like youd say someone was cold and heartless.

The cold shoulder origin is actually correct. Distorted in good ol' Pilkington fashion, but it was customary in the medieval times to serve a cold piece of meat to people when they overstayed their welcome, as a polite way to tell them to eff off back home.

No. George I was not until 1714 who followed Anne (1702-1714)...in 1700 William III was King (a.k.a. William of Orange) and Mary II was Queen - they jointly reigned as co-rulers. However, unlike Karl...Orange in this case refers to something else and not the shape of his head.

The "White Elephant" is another example of Karl sort of getting things correct. Leuistic and/ or Albino animals lack most or all natural skin-pigments. The term "albino" comes from Latin meaning "white" but true albinos are rare as fuck, naturally. What Karl did, as he does, is half-explain something and fill in the blanks when questioned. White Elephants were given as gifts (I cannot imagine there were many) from one ruler to another as a sign of prestige but the animals can't be worked...so it looks great but becomes a burden...hence the term

Give a cold shoulder Origin: In medieval England, it was customary to give a guest a cold piece of meat from the shoulder of mutton, pork, or beef chop when the host felt it was time for the guest to leave. This was a polite way to communicate, “You may leave, now.” Karl wasn’t wrong but told it in his usual, terrible way!

I'm pretty sure being an albino effects the eyes a lot but I think Karl just made that one up. He thinks they're literal, like people used to actually throw babies out with bathwater or live in glass houses. 🤣

That's not true. Genetic linkage causes many unrelated alleles/traits to be inherited as a package. Overtime the links can be broken to an extent, via recombination, if the genes are far enough apart on the chromosome.

People think Karl is harmless but the fact he believes literally ANYTHING he reads and he can vote means he's not harmless at all. If you represent a political party you could just guarantee his vote by writing any old crap on some paper and posting it into his letterbox.
