@@jwaynecurryI believe this verse is Romans 12:2, which says, "Do not conform to the ways of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may be able to test and approve what the good and perfect will of God is." Confrontation is not being passive. Transforming is confronting those things trying to make you conform. Hope this helps.

This scripture is about resistance, albeit, confrontation of self, not others. Be not confirmed means to resist your own personal desires for those of our Father. To be transformed requires personal accountability of changing one's own mind and thoughts towards what is the perfect will of God. I don't see confrontation towards others in the true meaning of this scripture. Again, maybe I misunderstood him but the message sounded like confronting others.

Brother Mike was talking about confrontation and how, without it, you don't unlock transformation and how nothing good will happen if you don't confront. I'd look at the book of Acts or the letters to the Corinthians, because those are where we see much confrontation (along with Matthew 18)
I disagree. You don’t have to have confrontation to transform. You have to have tribulations (hardships) before you can have transformation. You have to move to be get out of stagnation.
Today was a new day for me after listening to this sermon. My oldest sister wanted to come to my house. In the past she’s criticized me behind closed doors. She’s another way in public. I told her to come over if she’d promise me one thing….to not criticize me. We had a nice time. I could never say those things before. Jesus is setting me free.
Yes. Because what if someone who is abusive refuses to stop that behavior,and insists that you must endure bad treatment as a scapegoat indefinitely ? My parents are dead, but what about those still going through all that ? Boundaries allowed, or not ?
I am a divorced woman who has talked to God and I have told Him..God if u have a man for me in my future make sure he will help me in my calling and not hinder me because I am okay with being single in order to do what You have called me to do!!! Amen❤️❤️❤️

Very true! And they feed on the frustration you experience when you try. So, recognize what you're dealing with. Say nothing, but at the same time hold onto your truth.

i love confrontation deep down and i love communication. i’ve let a lot of things bottle up in my mind and heart especially at my job and now even at my church and it doesn’t feel okay at all. The Lord is pushing me to SPEAK! boldly and in faith I want to please my father
I just confronted my son about him having one foot in Jesus and the rest in drugs and the occult. He shut me down and it hurts. But I had to plant that seed even though it has strained the relationship. I’m so sad.
Maybe what could help is talk to him about his relationship with Jesus how it’s going how he is finding it Is he being encouraged. I am of a certain age and I have found that sometimes if you point out their wrong too early, they become defensive they feel accused. They already know that it’s wrong they are probably trying to come out of it. Best to focus more on their rel with God and also in just connecting with them then they will feel comfortable to talk of their struggles
@ephie1041 and the more you understand about where they're at & what they believe, the better quality of a discussion you can have with them. People like to be heard, especially children by their parents. If the dad demonstrates love and continuous patience, I bet he'll see his son open back up to him.

Trouble is. I'm a confronter because I want Truth. Doing it in the right way is the key. Not aggressive.but I think I'm aggressive. Simply because people want to be right and put you in the wrong. Think it's called Gaslighting
i’m pretty aggressive with confrontation it’s hard to put my anger aside that’s why i just don’t do it much anymore. i never confront anyone at my job but i want to and NEED TO!
Kinda goes back to the whole love they neighbor as thy self, if you have the first, to love the lord thy God with all your heart, and mind, and soul. The second becomes easier. That’s what God does to us when he’s working on something.. like we’ve got to remember that when we’re talking to others, ya know? Sometimes easier said than done, it’s all a work in progress until it becomes natural. Yup. Anyway… I haven’t even watched this yet.. about to.
Which also means they are right in one way or another. And the part that’s right is the part they want you to hear, if you just say hey, I understand this then say do you understand that.. :). Or like you do with your spouse, what did you hear me say? Then, you have an opportunity to explain what they didn’t understand… ya know?
I totally need help with this in the way that EVERYONE AROUND ME HATE CONFRONTATION...even to the smallest degree. So I look like the bad guy and I end up getting offended. Help me LORD!
i hear you!! God has shown me that i need to be very careful who i get involved with. boundaries are so important. i get with my people at church and i feel great. i get to work and its like ive entered hell. God is working on me daily!! He is the answer!
This was an absolutely necessary and wonderful teaching! I tried a couple years ago to be a pastor but I was trying to please everybody! This was a huge mistake and I finally came to the point and said oh I am anything but a pastor! God forgive me for not confronting the things I needed to confront! Amen and Shalom!
If you’re going to resist anything though, you have to look at it. Looking at it is confronting it on some level. I know plenty of people who won’t even look. They just run the other way.
I don't want to have a confrontation with my mother who gave me a third eye necklace for my son and my pastor told me to get rid of it, she's into witchcraft. She's going to be mad and insults me, but I know that I have to do it.

I was listening to a psychologist explain how to deal with toxic family, scrolled to a random video, and ACCIDENTALLY hit this one instead. Both videos quote the passage about pleasing man vs pleasing God. Suffice it to say, I’ve been trying way too hard to be likable and kowtowing to coworkers on ideological issues (after escaping violent and manipulative family two months ago). Not only that, but my longtime friends are EXTREMELY atheistic leftists, like I once was, and it’s been draining to put up with their theatrics… Yet I’ve continued to put up with their theatrics.
Being a people pleaser only distroy relationships in the end. You cannot be friends with everyone just by being a people pleaser. You will Never be able to please everyone.

I was on a praise team and I told the music ministry pastor that the team needed unity and freedom in Christ and he told me to organize and lead something. He was busy. I was a new believer. I needed a pastor! It didn’t take long for egos, offense, and division broke us apart. Worship suffered and we suffered.
I made a to do list yesterday for today. A Bible study session/sermon was on it. Turns out this is one of the first videos I saw that was suggested and it touches base on one of the biggest things I’ve struggled all my life with. Recently, I’ve begun to understand more that one who serves two masters always values one over the other. You ultimately have to be true to God. i had this exact experience with being a musician in church and it really shook my faith. seeing a pastor with a high production level speak this word is powerful bc i have always been suspicious of churches with "big worship moments" since then. i feel so much power and truth through this specific word thank you for being bold in sharing god's messages for you
Thank you Lord for leading me to this video. I have always struggled with confrontation, and in return either enabled or participated in sinful behavior . But now with being a child of God & knowing who Jesus is to us, i feel in my spirit the need to begin doing so. This is nice. I was 53 when I finally found this path. My relationship with God is mine alone, yet many stand stand with me. Being one of the flock does not mean becoming a sheep. A Lion in your faith you must be. Truth is truth. If you are not willing to look deeply within the truth and confront who and what you are, transformation you will not find.

Thank you for sharing your masculine energy with me today for after listening and hearing you I learned to confront. And at first i approached it like babe but as I continued to knock throughout the day and be mindful I was able to confront myself with a happy heart and it ended with so much beautiful healing and love from the creator. And it feels good to see the babe in me and to be able to change it and enjoy a laughathon with God about it makes me go to bed with a big smile on my face. I've been watching a lot of online preachers, and none have touched my heart as much as your sermons. They speak life, but they also get you to think about whether I am pleasing God or not? One of the sermons that I heard for the very first time that you spoke was about a day ago, and it was called How to Pray with Power. I felt the presence of the Lord so heavily while you were speaking your sermon. I had to go back and watch more. God is truly is using you in a mighty way.

@ 5:12 the pastor spoke truth. I met a man, an atheist, who believed that his life was under his own power and his own doing. His child went to college, and apparently started living that buck wild life. He called me and ask me to pray for him! I did of course because I had learned that life apart from God is nothing!!! I was amazed by his disbelief until he was desperate. I was hopeful and trusted that God was doing a new thing in the man’s life. I never heard from that man again. But the point is: look at the power of God to save! 🥳🙏🏾

yes so true. all of it. I love Jesus and I try to live my life the way God wants me to. I have sinned greatly and I spoke to Jesus and told him of all my sins, cried my eyes out because I felt loved and forgiving. I still had to forgive myself and I thought since Jesus forgives me Then I certainly can do the same for myself.And that’s when I felt all the love from Jesus andThen I started loving myself. That’s whatJesus did for me. I will not go backwards as long as I keep praying and need Jesus in my life everyday. God loves me and always has.I am. CHILD OF Gods we all are.

4 weeks ago I knew God was leading me to teach the word of God to my women friends and start a at home Bible study. When I invited my PW she said can we talk about this and cause of my past experiences with a toxic church I feared and still do as I meet with my pastor to discuss the concerns God has done a work in me for months now and I have to trust him and embrace confirmation in His LoVE! Yesterday i exposed a lady in my church who has bad intentions. I exposed her and then after six weeks i finally spoke to her face to face. It was very hard but i feel communication is very important.
