It really is silly, especially when you travel there and you're accustomed to the actual price being tax inclusive then it messes with your whole budget. I rented a car for a week over there and had to pay nearly 300 extra 😱

Those marks on the Mercedes happen when you are on the regular lane and then decide that you want to drive over the dividers that separate the Express Lane from the regular lanes. I'm guessing they got stuck in traffic, saw the Express Lane was empty and decided to knock over a few of the dividers to be able to get to their destination on time
The first time I saw a car drive through those rubber posts at 70 mph I was shocked. I immediately thought rental car, or rich guy who doesn’t care about his car.

Love the fact that you, Sebs, and Ross Brawn drove Ford Edges. My wife's favorite driver is Sebs and her lives Edge. We joke that it is the Ford that doesn't need to advertise.
Makes sense to drive a big ol suv while in the states! I bet it’s tougher to navigate one of those monsters like the Chevy suburban on small European streets. They are excessive and wasteful but incredibly comfy if you’re just a passenger hanging out while you’re driven to a location

I love your T shirt. I bought that album when it came out when I was a kid. And I still have it. I saw the Clash back in the early 80s too. I looked up that MDX colour, it's called Tiger Eye Pearl. LOL. I want to be the guy naming the colours of cars. Boy those SUVs are huge. I always love seeing somebody in downtown Toronto trying to parallel park a Denali or drive it down a side street. You basically have to drive up the sidewalk to let them by. Anyways, Thanks Kym!
The Ford Edge you drove was sold locally in Australia as the Ford Endura (made in Canada). Toyota Australia blocked Ford from using the Edge model name as they use it as a trim level and hold the trademark. Although it was marketed as a replacement for the locally manufactured Territory, it never sold in great numbers (and was outsold by the body on frame Everest), so was dropped in 2019.
The whole system of "Fee + Fee + Fee + Fee + Tip + Dinner + Fee + Child Support for CEO Barry = Total Due" is total BS and we hate it, too. Having to guess how much something is when you're trying to buy groceries and what not is so annoying. Great video!
Interestingly the Premier is actually the top end road version of the GM SUVs. The Z71/AT4 options are more for offroad or snow conditions, both not super useful in south FL. Also the Premier is actually more expensive, even though oddly they put it in the middle of the lineup on their website.

The Infiniti is not a Lexus. They are two competing brands. Also Acura is a brand on its own. It is made by Honda, but we don’t call Lexus a Toyota Lexus.
Hello Kym, good video again. But, as I had watched all ouf your "what drivers drive" videos, I would love the see old format. The team logos' on white background with a red border, the price tag, and the arrangement of videos (like you have let us see the Ferraris and Acuras before getting to the AT and Ferrari team themselves)... etc. It feels kinda strange. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing these drivers' cars. Really love the series.
"Frighteningly Big" - That about sums up the American fascination with SUVs and trucks. The same folks complaining about the price of EVs won't think twice about the price of these monsters.
The Acuras that the AT drivers had are called the TLX Type S. Single turbo V6, 355 HP, starts at $53,000 USD. The color is called Tiger Eye Pearl and in Acura circles is…very polarizing. The GM SUVs are all more or less the same chassis. The Tahoe and Yukon are the same, and Lando’s Escalade is the same chassis as the Suburban and Yukon XL. There’s also a shorter wheelbase Escalade based on the Yukon/Tahoe chassis.

Correction to the Lexus Infiniti. Lexus and Infiniti are 2 different companies. That was a Infiniti Q70 or Q90. Infiniti is a luxury variant to Nissan while Lexus is the same to Toyota.
5:53 there’s actual apps out here that do give you the total price that you see as final. Where did you rent this? The fees are totally fabricated it almost seems
2.2 trillion + 900 million in 4 years = 2200 + 0,9 = 0,04% or 0,01% increase per year, so I hope you meant it's 2.2 trillion and 900 Billion appreciation...which would take it to 10% per year...which sounds much more believable....
