Arlo, if you ever do Arlo Plays again, play the Paper Mario games. You've talked so longingly about wanting good Paper Mario games now. Since we're not getting them, you might as well help us all out remembering the good ones by playing them for us.

I always loved watching your let's plays. I even still go back every now and then when I just want a day of Arlo background noise and just watch a whole series again. Your let's play channel basically turned into what Game Grumps was for me. The natural pass time I would go to whenever I had enough spare time. Hope to see it grow so we can get more of your awesome stuff. :)

I love how you spoke about this, Arlo. I never really watched your LP channel and never knew about any of these problems, but what I like is how honest you were about it. Most youtubers never address dead channels/projects they promised to their fans or make up some sort of excuse. You cut the bullshit and made a lengthy video explaining the issues that you faced and reasons for stopping. Transparency and honesty is key, and it's clear you know this.

I think your RU-vid channel is one of the few that really has its own voice and its own style. I have enjoyed all of your videos since I first found you randomly on my RU-vid homepage. I enjoyed your let’s play videos when I watched them purely because I already enjoyed your personality and style as a RU-vidr and I would really like to see you continue your let’s play channel. Honestly as someone who is recently out of college, in a lot of debt, and is also incredibly lacking in any sort of creative outlet, the fact that you have made a successful channel combining your love of Nintendo/video games, puppeteering (which I have also dabbled in as an actor [and happen to freaking love]) as well as creating and editing your own content makes me a little bit jealous of how well these endeavors are working out for you. But I digress, I have enjoyed your presence in my RU-vid feed ever since I found your channel and I may be one of the minority in saying this; but I really enjoyed watching the things on your Arlo plays channel. I hope that someday you are successful enough with your current ventures that you can spend all your time on your RU-vid channel and I would love to see an Arlo plays series about you just playing through the Zelda series. If you can’t tell I’m a big fan, and I doubt you will even see this but keep doing what you’re doing, and your loyal fan base (myself included) will continue to enjoy your wonderful content.

Being a relatively new subscriber, I didn't know much about ArloPlays until I saw it in the end cards. I was intrigued, but didn't subscribe because, well, there wasn't much content! I think after your crazy channel growth last year and this video, you could totally revamp the channel. I find it an AMAZING thing to pursue and I am DEFINITELY planning on watching some Galaxy and Windwaker! Great job, Arlo!!

As a major fan of your channel and a patreon supporter, i loved your lets play. I’m glad you’ve acknowledged and explained the absence of these lets plays. Whatever the future is for your lets plays, I will continue to support your amazing channel and content :)

Here's some advice on what I personally would like to see added or changed in ArloPlays if you want some feedback. Focus on one or two games at a time. (It can get confusing when there are multiple incomplete lets's plays) Perhaps you could have a companion or bring friends over for multiplayer games (like game grumps does) to help keep conversations more dynamic and interesting? Not a dealbreaker for me personally, just curious if that would help at all... Along with making lets plays more condensed (either short videos with many parts or long episodes with less parts) And finally, Find a style that would work best for your more laidback style. (Perhaps contrast it by playing strange games or just do funny stuff like Game Grumps or Vinesauce. Or you could make it more like this Channel with more edited stuff or FanArt showcases) Not quite sure if this helps ArloPlays, but that is what I think could help. But either way I enjoy your content! So it's ok if its not your cup of tea to do a let's play anymore.

While I have never been particularly interested in let's plays in general, I always appreciate the honesty you have in these updates. Quite often I often find myself critical of the actions of creators or companies due to a lack of knowledge into the circumstances.Hearing you explain your situation not only makes me understanding to your situation, but also sympathetic. If I wasn't a college student with no reliable source of income, I'd totally donate to your patreon, partly because these sorts of updates remind people that you're a human/muppet thing too, and not just a channel.

I watched the entirety of the Pikmin series in a week or two after discovering your channel about a year and a half ago. Then PBG played it almost immediately after I finished watching yours. It's kinda what got me wanting to try Pikmin and I still haven't gotten that chance. 1 & 2 are way too expensive on the Wii and I wasn't buying a Wii U. So your old Arlo plays video has sold me on a game that hasn't even been released yet. And for the channel itself... like you said, Game Grumps it! 10-15 minute episodes every other day is that nice bite sized chunk that still leaves you satisfied for the day. Id love to watch you play Pikmin 3, or luigis mansion 2, or even something bigger like The Last Guardian that I remember you reviewing. Either way Arlo Stuff is great and I'll be here to watch this =)

I've been subbed to you for the last 3 years and I literally got really into you Arlo Plays within the last few weeks. I really enjoyed what I saw! Favorite has to be your Slender playthrough! I hope someday to see more.

Hey Arlo, you'll probably not read this, but I'm a big fan and I have a recommendation for you. I recommend ditching ArloPlays, and the time that you would usually spend recording and editing an LP for that channel, you spend live streaming some gameplay to this channel. I think this way you can have the same amount of fun as you normally would, but also have a better way to interact with your audience via the chat. Also you rarely live stream, please do this! You also wouldnt need to worry about clogging your channel with a bunch of live streams as I am pretty sure you can hide those. Thanks for reading if you did and please take this into recommendation :)

That was the most reasonable, well put argument I've heard in quite a while.

Maybe something that could be experimented with is doing a live stream of games? I imagine it would take less editing and if streamed through RU-vid, would be a good way of having Let's Play-like content for those that want it, without as much development time as normal Let's Play videos. It would probably take some time getting the setup at first, but it could lead to say, one free afternoon becomes a few hours of content, and would only require maybe an hour of prep and no after-editing if you felt it would take too much time otherwise. It seems the biggest hurdle is the time commitment, and this could be a way to circumvent that potentially.

Totally understand the situation, hope things brighten up for Arlo Plays in the future!

You should just do live streams

I completely understand that it must be crazy to manage two channels at once, especially all by yourself. All I can really do is hope that you eventually make enough money to hire an editor for arlo plays, because I, for one, LOVED hearing your casual voice while playing games! I do love the scripted main channel videos of course, but the let's play just added to it. Also, you mentioned hours of rendering and uploading. Uploading isn't really a speed that you can turn up at will, but a better computer does wonders for rendering times. On my old laptop a 720p 20 minute video would take around 3 hours to render. I put about $500 into a nice PC and now I can render 1080p 20 minute videos in 30 minutes! Definitely helps when it comes to getting constant content out.

Arloplays was great. I understand your decision. P.S. I hope nobody ever asks you to do a face reveal. I like having the image of the name "Arlo" to be a blue fuzzy monster guy.

Thank you for making this video! NO JOKE - I was literally wondering TODAY whether your let's plays would come back. I enjoyed your highlight reels that you posted on the channel, but, unfortunately, I did not start watching any of the Arlo Plays until a couple months after you posted the most recent one. And what a tragedy! They are hilarious, especially the Wind Waker let's play (so I'm glad you are considering reviving that series the most). The episodes are basically large doses of Arlo humor, and they are so entertaining to watch and even just to listen to your commentary. Honestly - and this might be a bit creeperish - but I downloaded the audio of some of the episodes and put them on my iPod. They're simply THAT ENTERTAINING! So, while I partially have myself to thank for the decline of the channel, I do hope that you consider uploading an episode every once in a while. I definitely will watch them this time!!

It is very understandable for you to keep your Lets Plays on hold. I will say, though, that your 10-minute green bean casserole lesson in the middle of your Wind Waker playthrough remains my favorite moment in any RU-vidr's Lets Play ever!

Even though I am subscribed to Arlo Plays, I don't care too much about the lack of uploads. The only LP's I really enjoyed were Slender: The Arrival and Wind Waker HD. So I definitely would love to see you finish Wind Waker, but after that I doubt I'll have much interest. If you DO ever decide to return to the channel, I feel like shorter, more story-driven games are better suited to it. They give your personality a better chance to shine through, and personality is key for Let's Players to be successful.

I'm one of those Arlo Plays fans who didn't watch the Highlights because I had already seen all of them in action! I'm still subscribed and I still would love to see you return to them - especially wind waker. I'll wait as long as it takes you, too.

Hi Arlo! No idea if you’ll read this, but regardless ;) I’ve watched your playthrough of Slender several times already throughout the years and I love everything about it, from beginning to end. But the funny thing is that I’ve played this game for the first time myself only a couple of weeks ago on Switch 😁 my experience with the game, even if I knew it almost by heart thanks to you, was still as creepy as it was intended. It was almost enhanced thanks to you, actually! I wish you could do more playthroughs, and particularly of horror/creepy games such as Amnesia, Outlast, Alien Isolation etc. But I completely understand it’s difficult for you, so no worries. Thanks for the thrills and laughs with this playthrough 😉

I subscribed after you stopped posting to Arlo plays and when I found out there was more Arlo i binged the entirety of Wind Waker. With more fans now, maybe there is an audience; I know I certainly would love for you to start it back up. I laughed and enjoyed myself when I watched more Arlo, and I even took some of your cooking advice. My point is, I hope you try the let’s play channel again. If it doesn’t work I’ll be sad, but it’ll be ok. But with a larger channel, maybe things will work out!

Arlo, I understand. I mean, why put so much time and effort into a channel (or anything really) that doesn't do well, when you have another thing to work on that is almost guaranteed to do well! I really hope more people can watch your lets plays, and I have watched all of the Pikmin 1 lets plays you did on that channel, and therefore subscribed to it (I'm still subscribed to it now). I hope you have a good life Arlo, and that your channels can keep on growing (especially your lets play channel)!
