This is one of the weirder facts about my life, but I might have been the first child to ever watch Joshua and the Promised Land, back in 2004. Jim Lion and his wife were our downstairs neighbors when I was between the ages of 8 and 13. He invited me over and showed me the film on his computer--we might still own the DVD he gave us, too. It made an impression even as an eight-year-old. But Jim was a really lovely guy! He actually saved our whole apartment building--he happened to be in the garage and noticed that a car was smoking, called the fire department, and when they arrived, they said it was minutes from blowing up. I hope he's doing well and getting a kick out of these reactions :)

My sister got this in an Easter Basket she won in church when she was 4years old. Sadly this was the first DVD we ever owned. Needless to say my parents went out that night and bought Lion King 2 for her. 😂 She still has Joshua and the Promise Land. It’s a great movie to put on in the background during a party. Great way to entertain drunk 20year olds and keep them entertained.

Sadly you know he did. He brought that ten dollar animation software and struggled with it for four brutal years. Even professionals can do it, Duke Nukem Forever has every bit of quality this 'thing' does and took 14 long years to create. What I meant was there is another Moses cartoon (called Mose Egypts great prince, a VHS only movie) and it is a masterpiece compared to this. I also had the Prince of Egypt on VHS as a kid (and ran it down until my old VHS player ate it and destroyed the spools so i then got it on DVD).
