Whatever he ends up doing, I just hope it's at least grounded in reality. MGS was fictional, but still fairly well grounded. I hope this is the direction he goes.
Kojima-San is the The mother and the father who created the stealth mechanism in the video game history. for me this guy is the god figure and the genius and the nostalgia of video game history.Period. I love you mr.Kojima-San
My understanding for the moment is that it's entirely possible for Physint to be a Metal Gear title. The split between Kojima Productions and Konami was not actually as rough and hostile as many people may understand it to have been. The story about Konami meddling to prevent the new Kojima Productions from establishing a company healthcare plan was never true. The removal of Hideo Kojima's name from the branding of the Metal Gear games (Except Ground Zeroes, strangely enough) was not about erasing him from the product, his cameos within the games have been retained and were the animosity so great that they would remove the creator's name from the product as much as possible, Konami would have also demanded that the credits sequences at the beginning of missions in MGSV be removed. PT was taken down because it was part of the Pre-production package for Silent Hills, which never began active development. It was an advertisement for a product that was no longer coming. The relegation of Kojima Productions to working as a contractor in the final phase of MGSV's development was not due to a sudden falling out, but instead was a result of the product's release date being pushed back to after the agreed upon date at which Kojima's team would depart from Konami. The split was likely caused by a disagreement on the future direction of Konami Digital Entertainment, the division of Konami of which Kojima was Vice President. The other people in charge of making those decisions were in agreement on shifting the division's focus primarily to mobile games, while Kojima wanted to continue the focus on high budget, high prestige console games. Being unable to reconcile this difference of opinion, Kojima and the rest of the parties involved agreed that he would leave the company, and a number of the highest profile employees would resign alongside him. Now that the focus on mobile games has turned out less profitable for Konami, as well as the underperformance of their Gambling Machines division compared to their expectations, it doesn't seem like much of a stretch to assume that they might want to contract the new Kojima Productions to regain good will and release a guaranteed successful product. They've been promoting the Metal Gear brand recently as well, to a degree which doesn't seem suitable for a remake of MGS3, no matter how high profile it may be. This is mostly informed by the fact that Hideo Kojima didn't say outright that Physint was not a Metal Gear project on the recent HideoTube episode where he was asked that question. If it was me in that position and I didn't want people even hoping that such a thing was the case, I would have said directly that it wasn't and explained why we were glad to be working on something totally disconnected from the old work. He could have ruled it out 100%, but he didn't for some reason.
it better have a plot and universe so complicated it requires several rooms of white boards to explain almost everything. oh and good gameplay as well i guess. also norman redus as the villian.
The way he talked about it, and given the background of his partners, what im guessing is gonna happen is it will be for the New VR for PS6, however, using chat ai and whatnot, they are gonna have it so you can interact and talk out loud verbally to characters in the game and they realtime react to you while say the plot is some government conspiracy or something. I have no idea where to start on the actual plot, but my theory is based on what the future of gameplay will look like, what we are pushing for. If you watch the trailer, there are brand labels in it, tied to VR simulation experiences, like... i forgot his name off the top of my head, but the guy who invented the floor that constantly moves with you so you feel like youre actually walking without actually going anywhere, and like those small censors you can place on the back of your hands and in keys spots, almost like motion capture technology. Xbox already tried doing this with Kinect right, with a camera that scans your whole body and it becomes the controller, and then they had Hololens, which ended up being to expensive for a consumer based electronic, but then Sony hit back with VR successfully, and it stands to reason this is the next step. Think of it this way, you get to literally play one of the characters in a movie by actually being in it kind of thing. Now, sounds like pipe dreams and science fiction, but so did VR at one point, 3D was just a pair of glasses with stuff popping out the screen at you, and now we have advances in depth of field and so forth to make you feel like you're there right, so anyway I believe this is where they're going with it. Given its a stealth espionage genre entry, you could do things like having to duck behind virtual objects, crawl on the ground, perform neck snaps with censor based gloves or something, all of that. It would probably be expensive, and who's to say it will even get a home release, there were rumors of Sony kind of doing their own theme park type thing, so maybe thats a possibility, but i guess we will have to wait a few years for more info. I swear though, if James Cameron attaches his name to this project to work alongside Kojima, then 100 percent we are getting new technology.
Just hoping it’s a good solid title that can match the mgs games as stealth games. Last two games he’s released in the past decade are boring for me personally or had noticeable flaws.
It's so crazy How This guy alone is tied to some of the greatest games out there like people go to Idio Kojima to find out what the next banger's gonna be like. That is crazy. They don't even we don't even care about economy or or any of these other game companies like we go straight to this guy. It's like Todd Howard and Bethesda We go straight to Todd when we wanna hear about fallout or Skyrock. It is so wild.
@@MetalGearyaTV what does that mean? he makes games with tight gameplay that are highly replayable and doesn't sacrifice the game for money by adding online bullshit to it. In what context do you think he's a hack and a fraud? who cares if he likes to fellate himself a little bit. after all, he was the one who came up with the idea called camera.
It'll be a Metal Gear clone, Like Gears of War > Quantum Theory, Halo> Destiny, Forza Horizon> Crew Motofest, Sea of thieves > Skull and Bone and Etc. Difference being this Ip copy will have kojima. Something Metal Gear no longer has.
Ubisoft should’ve partnered with Kojima Productions if they ever wanted to attempt themselves at a masterpiece with Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. Could’ve had an interesting result, what do you guys think?
Metal Gear is one of the best games of all time. But as far as the sentiment goes I never even bothered with Death Stranding or even Zone of the Enders for that matter. Don't put nobody on pedestals, fuck'em. They wake up and shit the same shit as me
