Matt did mention that the party didn't roll high enough to evade the Green Seekers. And Lady Emot said that the Shade Mother was recently "awaken". Presumably due to the purple sphere that Imogen looted from the lair.

All this talk of corruption got me wondering if we may see Buea and Yasha in the future or maybe Dyran being brought in to help root out the corruption in the corrum since it’s a seat of power. This campaign already has so many threads and leads it’s getting more and more interesting I am also terrified what is going to happen to Imogen in the next episode after that cliffy. Great breakdown y’all always give such interesting theories and talk through things in depth.

I'd like to believe that 'Ira' is the same Ira from the somnovem. One of the nine mages that was probably a leader, and given how mental-integration/possession seemed to be their main deal.... They'd probably have a backup plan that leads to 'infecting' people even if the initial plan failed. Essentially, old fey mage tried to protect the other main mages - failed - but had a backup plan. The fact that Fearne and FCG are main characters now, and FCG seems to be rolling for 'trauma points' until (???) and is unable to process their past makes me even more convinced.

I don't think it was a railroad. Rewatched the start of it and they were very much talking about wanting to deal with that but almost felt like they HAD to leave. So I see this less than a railroad, more as an option for the players to further pursue the shade creepers now. They could have very much dealt with the green seekers differently. Playing nice, going their own way, bolt away.
