Thanks man! Many smaller restaurants won’t have English menus. I don’t think that dumpling place had either. But people speak English better than in most Asian countries. Also they are very friendly and there is always someone to help!
Thanks man. Taipei is great but I have liked every place outside of Taipei even better in Taiwan, so I highly recommend checking out other parts of Taiwan too! It is such a diverse country, so much to see and experience! For me the most memorable travels have been in Hualien and Kaohsiung!
Jere Travels quick question about the train... did you buy it in advance and if you did which website did you buy it from? Or did you just go to the train station and buy it day of? And it was 440NT round trip, correct?
We tried to book it many days in advance online at first but it was not possible. So at the end we bought it at the station a day or two before departure. 440NT is price for one way for one person. I just checked it’s still the same price!
There's a saying in Taiwan about food: Cheap price for big portions :But I add the comment of great quality of the price you pay... And no tips necessary... I wouldn't try to start any tipping stuff... Leave that for the westerners... Anyways, great video. Cheers.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! I believe you guys have tried some really authentic foods in Taiwan, but I highly recommend you trying some real braised pork rice (魯肉飯ru ro fan) in the specialty stores next time such as 黃記魯肉飯(Huang Ji) in Taipei or 西村的家 in Hualien ! They both are my favorites!

Yea I think so too. Amazing how much you can do in just 4 nights! Of course not much time to see Taipei but I had been there before. Hualien and Taroko were very special and we got to eat lots of great food too! 😊
Taiwan is a very low key country. Most people don’t know a lot of the hi tech products they use are made by Taiwanese factories. They don’t know 60% of Tesla components are made in Taiwan. It’s the Taiwanese business men and women that own the factories in China. China can never produce that many hi tech products without Taiwanese.
8:00 They look like Chinese tourists from China. They look like Northern Chinese and they probably live inland, so they may not have seen the oceans. That’s why they seem excited. That part of the ocean is right next to the Pacific. All surrounding waters by China coast lines are NOT next to the Pacific.
