I always look outside to see who it is from my window. If it’s a total stranger, I would usually get an adult (like my grandmother since I’m still sorta young ;w;) But if it’s someone sus AF...
@@TallSilentGuy he's gonna have to suffer. I'm not interested in strangers ringing my bell for any reason whatsoever. The next doorbell down the road will be just as good as mine for him.
I'd keep my door closed, tell her don't move *I'M CALLING THE POLICE* 1.If she stays then she genuinely needs help 2. If she runs it was a set up, and she probably had thugs waiting in the background to kill you.
I had a lady knock on my door once. She came asking for help since the lights to my house were still on. She was walking home when a group of men in a car were following her. These men were still circling my neighborhood as I call the cops. She stayed on my porch hidden by the trees and bushes until the cops came. If I was in her shoes, I would've at least wanted someone to do the same for me.
If we were the ones in distress and wanted to come inside someone's house to be or feel safe we would've begged them to let us in but sadly you can't trust anyone these days. I wouldn't blame them if they didn't let me in and I was in trouble.
How do you know he was abusive? She could be crazy and not taking her meds. You know zero details. He didn't do anything to her and he had got her, so obviously he wasn't too bad since she was found safe.
This is a scam, she'll ring the doorbell whilst her partner is hiding in the corner waiting for you to open the door and then attack, beat and rob you. Realise this message and learn from it.
That is totally wrong. She was actually in great danger. Somone was holding her hostage and she got away. I think she was captured again I don't remember. But still, she was in great danger
Oof I'm from Montgomery Texas, this woman was eventually identified and is now safe. Her abusive boyfriend was pretty much holding her hostage, the restraints were fake handcuffs but they were being used to keep her from leaving. She escaped and sought help. After the managed to get away, the boyfriend shot himself before police got to him. Not as funny as a story as people in the comments like to make it seem. If someone rings your doorbell, approach it with caution. It could be a scam, but it could also be someone in need of help.
@Brian The Explorer so I'm guessing you're against guns... Good for you bud lol no need to get upset because people like to protect themselves. People can have guns, bats, pepper spray, tazers, grappling skill, and knives. Who cares. Just make sure you have something to defend yourself with in a time of need.
I was at my gf's house and someone knocked on the door. Gf answered the door and it was some freaky guy that lived down the street wanting to borrow the phone to call his boss. She let him in because I was there. He was so stupid not to even notice my car in her driveway that he had to walk pass. This was in the daytime. When he saw me sitting inside, he started shaking. He picked up the phone and I could tell he didn't dial enough numbers to call someone. He pretended to talk to his boss and then left. I lent her one of my guns after that. She sold the house soon after and moved in with me in another town. Now married.
This has happened to me before. A neighbor down the street (whom I had never met) was beat up by her boyfriend, she was barefoot, only wearing a t-shirt and panties. She managed to get away from their home and was banging on my door. I opened the door and she literally ran in. I slammed the door and locked it and seconds behind her was the boyfriend. He about kicked my door down, thankfully the cops were there quickly and took the S.O.B to jail. It was very scary. Funny part of the story about 15 years later the "boyfriend" use to come in where I work and one day he asked me out on a date. He didn't know I was the one who let her in, he didn't recognize me. I definitely recognized him though!!! FYI...I wanted to tell him to go to hell and I never went out with him.
1:18 - Interviewer - "what do I do if someone knocks on my door at night?" 1:49 - 'Expert' - *"You* know what you should do" Well that's solved it then...
Is everyone ignoring the fact that this girl had shackles on?????? That's a real cause for concern. I get that it could potentially be a setup, but the idea of kidnappers locking up victims is a very real thing...

I don't think you could ignore that but if you needed help, bouncing around from door to door and not waiting for a few minutes doesn't make sense. I sincerely hope the woman is ok though and that she wasn't part of a malicious act to get someone else set up or hurt.
@ It is actually what police tell you to do when being chased. Ring doorbell and knock on doors as you run. Police can use that to trace your movements even if they don't rescue you.
When someone rings at night, I have activated an automatic voice response with a deep, a very deep voice: "Welcome to my game. Been waiting so long for my next player. Nobody ever got back out before. Will you be the first?" Then the door opens automaticaly. Nobody ever stepped in...
My introvert ass will just keep pretending I'm asleep thank you very much. *edit* shameless plug, i play destiny 2, make videos here on youtube and have a destiny 2 clan and discord. Come join me friends :)
Yeah, I'm never letting a stranger in my home. There's a chance they're an escaped kidnappee, but there's also the chance they're there to harm you. My life, and more importantly, my family's life, is worth way more to me.
Right. These days it’s super scary to trust ppl you know so imagine the evilness of random ppl. A woman got kidnapped in my state because she opened a door for a girl who was crying knocking on her door. And it’s funny because the girl that was crying was actually helping guys kidnap and rape woman
At least call the police for them... if they're out to harm you they may be back to visit, if they're kidnapped they won't return as they may get killed, regardless the police will help either situation protecting everyone.
Tbh I’m a witness and actually I get scared because we have to knock on people’s doors and I’ve met so many creepy people that I get scared at the doors. But we do it because we believe our message is good.
Me: Hears door ring Also Me: sees someone I don’t know Me again: arms myself with nerf gun and a fake lightsaber with a Thor helme and no shirt Me later: find out it was the ups guy
Not gonna lie, guy answers a door with a nerf gun and lightsaber wearing a Thor helmet, I'm not sticking around to find out what kind crazy is going on in there.
Lol my mom cares so much for my safety sometimes she even stays home just to watch me xd its not like im gonna get attacked because my country is more of a calm country and nothing really happens even if i did i have a big brother and sis
*Inside Edition* : What to do if someone rings your door bell overnight *Also Inside Edition* : You will know whether you should let the person in. So much help! Thanks!
Optimus27 So you'll understand if you were being chased by a serial killer and needed help in the night and everyone just doenst care to help you cause they care about themselves more. Lol.
Dont answer and ignore? Thats stupid. First you should call 911, and get a crowbar or anything to use as a weapon. Never just ignore, you have to react. What if he/she is gonna try to break in and your not paying attention? Always react and be ready for anything.
siri H "Family" set up a home invasion. Honest to God. I was almost beat to death, he came back while the cops were supposed to be outside and he got shot. By me.
Don't quote me on this. I think I heard a little blurb on the news today about a man killing her boyfriend. Like she was okay but her boyfriend got killed
This guy's advice is horrible. Here's the easy, 100% effective, no stress, answer: Do not open the door no matter what. Call the police and wait in a safe location.
No, because what if they need immediate help? In that one clip, that girl was being chased and dragged away. You should always at least consider the situation the other person may be in.
I heard footsteps outside my room (no car door sound. If so I didn’t hear cuz j was listening to music and sketching lol) on our sidewalk around 11:30pm. Next day when I go to the car to go to volleyball, we saw our garage was egged. Probably by some older teenagers cuz the stop sign on my road got spray painted on and my neighbors car got a baseball through the back window too. (I would’ve told my dad but I thought it was in my head cuz I’m stupid)
Whenever I get a doorbell ring in the middle of the night, I always answer with a smile on my face and a gun in each hand. Stay thirsty my friends...........
Maize The holographic corn There could genuinely be something seeking asylum. How in good conscience can you ignore someone screaming and pleading at the door for help
you call the cops, but dont open it. she could be in a really bad situation, or it could be a setup and once you open the door its all over so ya never know.
I’m not Pegasoos she was I live in Montgomery Texas what happened was she got cat fished and she lived somewhere else and the guy took her to Montgomery
(Sees chain) Me:Come in an go get a knife and wait in a big room Me: stares out side with gun in one hand and knife in another. Person stills goes..... Me: shooting 3 times in both legs and loot him and calls 911.... while conforting random women with chains and looking at psicho.
A couple Months ago our Door Bell rang at 4 am in the morning. I live in an Apartment on the Second Floor so i had no idea who it was or what was going on. When i opened my Bedroom Door ( everything was dark, oviously) i immediately saw red and blue light coming from the kitchen. I went to the Window and outside was the biggest Fire Truck i had ever seen. Also 2 Police cars and an Ambulance. So i woke up my Mom (in panic because i just woke up and it felt like a nightmare). We opened the Door and the Hallway was already filled with men in their Full Fireman Attire. We asked what was going on. They knocked like crazy people on my Neighbours Door. They were about to break the Door open because nobody would come. Well it turned out ... My Neighbour came home from a Party, made himself frozen Pizza but fell asleep. Apperantly it smoked so much that the Fire Alarm went off ( that he still didn't hear) and when you don't turn the Alarm off yourself the Fire Department will be called. Nothing was burning and he eventually opened the Door. It was quite the Night. (also i'm not American so i'm sorry if my wording/grammar seems off)
lol honestly we didn't even know that was a thing. We had to get fire alarms in certain rooms that was like a rule made by law and our landlord had to come to install them. But fire alarms sometimes go off when you let your pancakes burn lol so we always assumed that we had to call "911" when something was actually burning because if they had to come everytime a fire alarm went off ... that would be insane. but then this happened and our neighbour didn't call them because nothing was actually burning but since he didn't turn it off fast enough they were alerted. Which is like you said "pretty cool". I sure feel a lot safer knowing that help would be on the way in case i didn't hear an alarm. :)
sorry i don't trust anyone and i'm rlly anxious and paranoid so there's no way i would let anyone in. own safety goes first. i mean if i were in their situation and someone would follow me with a knife that would suck but then again i'd try to hide somewhere. idk i just couldn't let them in, it's not safe, if i were a muscular guy who can protect himself then yeah but i'm not
If you ever find yourself in that situation where you're on the other side. Get on your knees and make your peace. I hope nobody opens the door for you either.
@@alexanderrahl482 I respect his decision because honestly, your putting yourself at risk aswell and you dont even know the person. Sorry that everyone in this world has their own families and themselves to take care of.
Alexander Rahl i mean if it's like a girl or a young boy who i know couldn't overwhelm me if it came to a fight then i would let them in but if it's someone stronger or older than me i would call the police for them but not let them in, it's too dangerous to trust a stranger, so the only people i would let in would be a child
Alexander Rahl i totally agree, but what i agree with more would be that people should be more trustable and sincere about things and not backstabbing scammers. i would let someone in if weren't for people that set the ones up who try to help
Meh...I’d just tell the person to stay there while I call the cops. No way am I opening a door for someone who rolled up like that. You don’t know who else could be with them waiting for the door to be opened.
