Just imagine being kidnapped and held hostage in this little container with some messed up creep scaring you all day. Now imagine that every day for 9 months not knowing when you would make it out or if you would make it out. Very scary and this girl was very brave

Crazy that this happened just a couple of blocks away from me. I've walked behind that trailer, across the small river, at least 30 times while she was held captive and had no clue.

It's time to start opening up all the locked shipping containers in residential areas.

This was so unbelievably sad. My worst fear was kidnapping when I was a little girl and it almost happened several times when I would walk around my neighborhood and men would pull up and ask if I had a boyfriend or things like that. The trauma these girls have to overcome now must be unreal

Once someone experiences such evil it takes away your innocence and trust. Never see people the same way again. So sad

I was 14 at this time, living my life and helping my pregnant mother for 9 months. These 9 months were soooo long for me. Now i can’t remember what these 9 months were like for Abby.

Horrible. Strong female to make it through. She's beautiful and tough. So happy to see that she made it through. Even if she wasn't pretty I don't want this for anyone. Young girl must have been terrified. This guy better never get out of prison.

Seeing abbys friend hug her was the best thing ever , even made me cry a little

Abby went missing on my 15th birthday, just a few days before her own 15th birthday, in a town which is like a second home to me. I remember being up in Conway the weekend after she went missing and seeing all the hard work people were putting into finding her. When I learned that she had returned home safely that following July I remember just sitting there crying in joy that she was ok. Her story is one that has had such an impact on how I live my own life, learning that anything can happen anywhere, no matter how safe you feel there, and I’m so glad that she got this chance to share her story.

I got so emotional seeing her walking to her house, I can’t imagine all the feelings and emotions her and her mom had the moment that door opened. I wish them the best♥️

What a brave child to go through that nightmare all alone and survive and then to get in front of the world and tell her story. I’m so happy she made it home.

Luckily the kidnapper had some remorse for letting her go. Thats extremely rare. I'm also glad he's in prison now.

All the kidnappings from walking home from school scares me. My neighborhood is huge and it takes me 6-10 minutes to walk home.

My brother got kidnapped he was 11 years old walking home from high school i heard it on the news i was crying so much
