Am watching this because I was stuck in an elevator just a week ago and trust me it is difficult to keep calm in such condition and worst is I am claustrophobic. I thought I was going to die cos I could feel my heart tightening, am grateful to God that help arrived on time and am still alive. It was a very horrible experience 😢
@@aaroncincotta6305 Oh my God! I'm glad you managed to come out safe. Being stuck inside the lift is the worst feeling ever! I remember that happening to me and my brother while on holiday in a total different country . I prayed so hard and begged God to save us while my brother was there, so relaxed, joking and laughing 🤦♀️. My brother was just a kid but it seemed like he was so convinced that we were going to come out of that lift. Me on the other hand, I thought it was over! Glory to God we are still here!
The real scary part starts when the power goes off. Today I got stuck in an elevator for 15 mins . The last 5 mins had no power. Thankfully I was rescued!
From an elevator mechanic, DO NOT TRY AND OPEN THE DOOR. You can get very hurt or you can brake something and make it more difficult for a mechanic to get you out.
I was stuck in an infrequently used hospital elevator a few weeks ago - one of those old hot metal cages - it was so terrifying as the call bell and buttons did not work and I did not have any signal or way out. I had to shout and hope there were passer by. It was so hot and I was in a panic as barely anyone knows of these elevators as its in the old section of the hospital. Luckily there was an old couple who just happenned to be walking by and helped get securtiy to help me get out. The elevator has since been put under maintenence and closed to public for the last month.
I got stuck in the lift at work yesterday 17/02/21 I work as concierge and the lift got stuck on 28th floor and could even hear the wind and my advice is to be calm because lift are safe otherwise you would panic start to feel like you loose breathing and press the bell button as it calls the lift emergency service anyway I ended up waiting up to 2 hours the lift people came and got me out and it’s scariest thing happened to me, never ever try to open the door and get out even if you’re close to the floor because sometimes lift can move and start to go down and you would be spilt in half if get caught in! Peace out
Me too , i never went to an elevator in my whole life and i am 13 , everyone says me to do it but i get too tensed and start crying like a baby even if it isnt stuck and when it actually gets stuck just think i am dead
I hate elevators that's why when I go to the Mall I always say to my family instead of taking the elevator let's just take the escalator I would rather escalators over elevators. Who agrees?
It's not easy, try your best to. If you've called for help and you know people are on the way then you should try to relax. They will get you out safe and sound.
I am watching this after it happened with me toady.. Actually l am student of class 11th today l used my school elevator 2nd time in my school life. And it was so unlucky for me as l stucked there, After shouting too much my P.T. teacher heared me and save my as well as my friends life. I am always greatful for him. Tip:Keep shouting until any one can hear you and don't get nervous (we were two so we shouted together this make him to hear us)
Yes I have been stuck in lift and i cried and was scared anx i was shouting for 10 min and then someone came and opened me but i creid all the way coming to my home I was crying because i am a kid so thats why
Moments ago I was stuck in my building elevator, no fan and a hot weather after I called for elevator company to come and get me out i was searching online for help and I find your video 😁
Remaining calm will help your situation a lot more than screaming. Never ever attempt to escape an stuck elevator, the elevator car is the safest place since you might fall down the shaft if it's not level with the floor.
I got stuck in an airport elevator in the parking lot for an hour. That shit was scarry. And to top that I was in the Elevator with a Lady that said we might loose oxygen. I was like whattttt. Thank God there was another lady in there that believe in God. We started praying and it calmed me down. The other Lady was truly messing with my emotions saying God cant help us. Im like Lady please just shut up. However I didn't tell her that, lol. I just tried my best to stay positive.
I wouldn't suggest banging on the doors. Also most modern lifts have interlocks on their doors so if you are trying to crack the door open, if it doesen't budge dont push any harder. This might damage the lift and delay your rescue.
@@hetachiyoni7974 all buildings must have stairs due to fire regulations. If the stairs are not accessible, building owners or managers can be fined, even in Japan. Just ask where the stairs are an explain you are claustrophobic and do not use lifts. The stairs ARE there, it's just may not be readily accessible/visible but they must be there and in working order (the door cannot be locked, again due to fire regulations).
@@johns4651 The only time I dared ask was in an hotel because there was no way I was going to take a tiny-tiny elevator two or more times a day. The stairs were visible, but for fire emergency only. I told them my problem, but they wouldn't let me use them anyway. They ended up giving me a ground floor room, though, which was very nice of them. But, yes, claustrophobia may not be a "big enough" problem for some people 😔
Me too! But now I live on the 6th floor of a building, and it's doing damage to my knees and lower back 😢. I'm working with a therapist to get over my phobia, pray for me!
I'm glad I've never been stuck in an elevator, but if I were going in one in a tall skyscraper I'd probably bring food and juice with me incase it does get stuck, and I'd be calm as long as I'm not stuck on the elevator with large, ugly insects or a problematic person.
With my scenario, I was stuck at Level 2, pressed the emergency button with noone responding. Eventually I tried to open the door, and it was so easy, I did not push hard i believe. Opening the door is my life saver. But it only works on my scenario where the lift did not move and I have enough time to slip out.
I got in stuck in a elevator once too. Luckily I was only in there for five minutes or so I also was with my mom it wasn’t so bad but if I was alone I’d probably be having a mental break down or at least internally screaming
Nearly got stuck in an elevator in the Queen Victoria building in Sydney. It stopped. In Between floors. It said "LOAD LIMIT: 3) We had 4 people, and 2 bikes. One of them bounced a bit and it started again. When I was about to hit the alarm!
My brother just got stuck couple hours ago, it was after school, I got out before it closed he couldn't, securities weren't there then I called my parents, but my brother pressed the Bell button for 2 minutes ad tried cracking, suddenly the door partly opened and he pushed the rest. Thank god nothing happened
Just press the alarm button for five seconds, unless the lift is electrically dead, then use your phone. If you don't have your phone, resort to the old method. Make lots of sound. Shout, bang something against the door, play loud music, etc. Someone will eventually realise that there's someone stuck in there and call the fire brigade. If you're on a floor and you have your phone, try using it to signal SOS through the door. It's three long pulses, followed by three short pulses, and three long pulses again. You can use your flashlight or a beeper to send the distress signal.
Opening door might help, If the lift is most likely has a logic error, it may matter where its leveled, between floors. OR on the floor, in both ways opening door by hand could help
make sure if the call button donst to anything, make sure to hold it for an few secounds, depending on the elevantor and country its might only gonna work if you hold it down for like 5-10 secounds.
I got stuck in an elevator a few weeks ago, actually that wasn’t even the first time this happen. I been stuck in 5 elevators different times It always sucks and is very inconvenient. First after trying different buttons and waiting to see if it resumes then I call for help. Then have the wait till they come. Ive never been stuck alone so it wasn’t as boring. After a while I get frustrated that I can’t go anywhere but nothing to bad.
I m ligit stuck in an elevator rn but one question what if there is no signal or there's a fire what do you do? I am just a bit curious OMG DUDE 😲😳😍😅😭😩😲😳😍😅😭😩😲😳😍😅😭😩😲😳😍😅😭😩😲😳 THE ELEVATOR OPENED BYE IM HEAD OUT BEFORE IT CLOSES ON ME ILL JUST ASK SOME QUESTIONS AT HOME I AM NEVER TALKING AN ELEVATOR I'LL JUST USE THE STAIRS
I got stuck in lift once. But the lift had glass through which i can see outside. When they were helping me i could see them which gave me confidence. Glass lifts are best😃
Im 9 and i just got stuck in an elevator 30 mins ago i was stuck there for 15 mins the elevator had no emergency button so i had to just wait it out i tried yelling but not too loud so i can save my energy for later but after alot of yelling for help and crying security heard me and they got me out i will be more gratful whenever i am not stuck in an elevator.
I got stuck in the lift today & I couldn't kept my self calm. I was loosing my breath & was so panic. I started banging on the door & then lady asked me from out side to stay calm & press B. Door opened. First time in my life I was so scared & panic.
I am not sure if elevator has any any backup mechanism by which elevator stops at the nearest floor automatically and doors can be open in case of power cut or any failure, if there is not then it's is biggest failure of the concept of elevator itself, better to take stair than risking your life if you have asthama or heart patient
Tips you will need air in the lift so grab a supplie to stick between the lift to get fresh air also if you think the lift is going to fall its not they have emergency breakers to stop the lift by falling be safe everyone
"stay entertained" bro i dont think you can be that confident in those situation like literally me myself i would literally keep jumping with panic in elevator and scream
Today Me and my Friend got stuck in our school elevator for thank god only 5 minutes. But I'll say it was not that panicking or horrifying for me but it was the most panicking and horrible situation for my friend. He's quite a fearless person I've never seen him getting scared easily. But he is claustrophobic. So I think it's the worst nightmare for a claustrophobic person to get stuck inside that metal cage
U can try all that but when it doesn't work u should have a backpack full of food snacks flashlight and phones that our on and fully charged blankets pillows so I won't get back prom lems and a laptop to watch shows on hope this was helpfull
