Wow... the glass blowing was the high point for me 😲. Amazing! If ever I make it to Murano I'll be sure to go early morning to beat the crowd and get the best patios + best views 🤭
It was such a picturesque town to walk around! The glass blowing was quite interesting, and the guy had rock and roll music playing quite loud, and was dancing to it while working lol. Definitely go early! Thanks for watching :)
Brian is OBSESSED with the Murano glass and he’s over here loving this video!! Great video guys - love seeing the glass blower at work. And the gelato looked phenomenal!
I loved seeing all of the Murano glass too, and had to hold myself back from buying a few pieces, because they don't travel well lol. I did break down and buy one small piece that I can wrap in a couple of socks, and carry in my suitcase. The gelato was amazing, and I don't feel guilty about getting the extra large haha. Thanks for watching guys :)
Thanks for watching, and for your kind words! We loved watching the glass blowing, and especially enjoyed going through all the different stores selling all the Murano glassware. Cheers :)
So so so beautiful and thanks for the restaurant’s option………last time i went…oh boy ….i bough some glasses pieces……but i was able to keep it on a budget…..almost…ha ha ha !
If we didn't just live out of suitcases, we would love to have bought quite a few pieces. The budget can go out the window pretty fast there lol. Thanks for watching :)
We had a lovely day trip to Murano! It wasn't easy holding Tom back from buying a bunch of glass pieces haha. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it :)
When you finished dinner at that restaurant - we wondered what you would have for desert, and couldn't believe it when you didn't have any - but then you redeemed yourselves and had those 4 scoops of delicious looking gelato:) Murano looks like a great place to visit!
Murano is so beautiful, and we really loved our lunch at Osteria al Duomo! We couldn't let you down, so we had to stop for that tasty gelato. Cheers :)
Thank you for watching Jodi! I would think one day in Murano would be lots to see everything. We probably spent about 4 or 5 hours there, and we saw what we wanted to see in that time. Thanks again :)
I’m traveling to Rome in June I’m going to catch a flight to Venice for the day and was wondering how far the place you took the ferry to Murano was because I’m planning on spending a little time there as well .
Nice! We have some Rome videos coming out in a couple months. The ferry to Murano did not take long at all, it was maybe 10 minutes. The walk from our apartment was less than that.
For some reason, the commercial ad attached to this video for us was …. “Contino”. From glassblowing to … prostate 🥲. Must say … those old buildings have more characteristics than most modern ones we’ve seen. Who’s that guy dancing on the bridge 😅? And what’s up with that robot thing in the glass shop. Don’t tell me Elon guy has been there … There is a Chuhuli (not sure if the spelling is right) museum in Seattle. Also quite impressive there too.
The buildings are quite beautiful, and very different types of architecture than we're used to in Toronto lol! The guy on the bridge seemed to think he was "king of the world" haha. They had some pretty cool looking glass pieces in that shop, including the robot. I've read about the Chihuly Museum in Seattle and would love to see it sometime. Cheers guys :)
