We went to Greece 3 years ago. We stayed in Athens, myconos and santorini. We absolutely loved every day that we spent in Greece. That was my first time overseas and now our second overseas trip is scheduled for the end of April this year to Italy.
Santorini is majestic! You captured its beauty! Cheers to you, Anna, and Ryan👏👏👏 “The sweat is real!”...Rather, I think of it as the both of you GLISTENING in the majesty of the Greek Islands. Another beautiful video. Thank you for sharing😊

Hi Joanne! Thank you SO much...always love reading your great comments and so glad to have you along on the adventure! Santorini was amazing, the views, sunset, drinks, hotel and most importantly...the people!
17:07 this is a part of a typical greek mentality. He was talking to you like you were his nephew 😀. You are handsome physically and spiritually. Thank you for promoting our country abroad. Love from Greece ♥️💋🌺
My friend! Another great vid...I always really take notes because I plan to visit same spots you go to cause lets be real, you know whats good or not! Im onto re runs of your shows cause ive seen them all. Best regards and hope sometime I can show you guys around panama!
Some nice shots of the streets in Santorini and I'll definitely try the two restaurants mentioned (thanks for the suggestions). I'm surprised he went in August--the busiest and hottest month.
Great movie, Mark !!!! Your emotions are very convincing !! And Santorini in your film looks like a truly fabulous, heavenly place !!! Now I am your subscriber too - I want to see even more of your travels !!!)) ...
Love your videos! My favorite is when you go to Sicily, my family is from Sicily, I recommend you checking out Carini 😁I AirPlay your videos to my tv and my family enjoys watching.
Thank you Luca! Yes it was SO hot...but mostly the sweat was so crazy because we had to move our luggage around and of course my camera bag LOL Thanks for watching and commenting!
I can see the hotel we stayed in from your shots! Beautiful video and totally agree! So much to do in Santorini. Made a video about it on my channel as well! :)
Mark, another great video - I look forward to every episode of Euro Trotter - finding your channel was a highlight for 2019. I've enjoyed all your productions, and wish you continued success in 2020. Your narration, videography, editing, etc. has all been superb and highly entertaining! Keep doing what your doing, and enjoy the travels. One quick question: Which was more noteworthy, Franco's Bar in Thira or Franco's Bar in Positano?
Hey Michael thank you so much!!!!! Oh that’s a tough question lol...Franco’s I’m Santorini was much more dramatic on the edge....there wasn’t a bad seat in the house, the Positano one was more ritz and glamour feeling with a much smaller seating area but m the edge...do them both lol
Hi Estelle! Thank you so much!!!! Yes, we were only planning on renting a car the last day, BUT the car rental place gave us such a good deal for the 3 days and said we really needed a car to get around and taxis were pretty much non-existent....it was easy and so glad we did that! WHAT an amazing island!
The Greece Sweat is real been there still loved even with the donkey poo and large puddles urine beast or person. The sites high and low are beautiful so glad you enjoyed the vibe. Great vlog and say Hey to your traveling filos!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hellenes call the whole island Thira but tourists tend to use the Italian title of Santorini from when the Italians dominated. Most tourists stop at a village and then spend time in the centre but there are great wineries, sailing tours, scuba diving and if you do not mind, you cal walk soooo much and see the real land. As to the DELOS (pronounced as in DEL then LOS (NOT LOSE) yes, book the business class for long trips. And re koulouria, eat them when possible warm from the oven. But being ex Australian Navy I just loved the sail via ferry. And cars, yeah I always find it cheapest to rent on site in every country .About the shop and the foot wear. I bought sandals, made in Hellas, from Thessaloniki and they lasted 10 years back in Australia. Such great quality across Hellas (Greece).
The shoe shop was nice, some of the shoes were very nice, by the way between those two which one you picked? I feel like its a place where i can live happily for the rest of my life its airy, sunny, fresh and beautiful except the donkey dung😜. anna u are looking very beautiful as always. Mark thank you for another video,i am a huge coffee lover and when you start your day with a cup of good coffee cup it feels like i am having one.
Franco's is very expensive. Went there with my family 3 years ago and we paid about 50 euros for two drinks and an orange juice. It used to be so much better. I am a Greek and have been in Santorini 3 times and i absolutely love it.
Hey Jim! Not much, we only use stock if there’s something we couldn’t get and it’s usually drone, I droned in Santorini BUT it’s tricky because of the wind and proximity to flight paths...
Did you not get over to Oia? I hope you did! Talk about ROMANTICALLY BEATH TAKING! Also, the boutique cavern hotels along the Culdera are fit for a honeymoon of Love.
When was this filmed? Just because thinking about making a quick trip out there unless the weather isn’t greatest and I’ve been told right now it’s very much a ghost town since everything is closed .
So beautiful. Loved the scenery, the donkeys climbing up and down the steps, the shoe store man, and even the informative investment ad by the Motley Fool. Thank you for sharing the many costs of the food, car rentals and lodgings. Great video.
My fiance and I will be going to Santorini for part of our honeymoon in August. Who did you rent the car through? I have not found anything that cheap (it could also be because we are going during the busy season)!
Don't rent a car ahead of time. When you get off the ferry, got to that taxi/car stand you see me show in the video, you can get a car there as I did super cheap and they were great, just make sure to take pics of the car with your phone ahead of time to record any damage
I have lived in the island and after 5min I have to comment (probably I'll edit later 😂) About Ferry's you have to be careful, sometimes bluestar is stopping at the every single island and coach class is the best for people who want to meet a lot if interesting people, ticket is like 42 euros, small difference. But if you want to rest business is better and cleaner for sure. They have airseats as well they are okay for rest. Rent a car is a MUST! without rental prepare yourself to pay a lot of money for transfers and local buses are really bad. You can rent a car for 35euros per day for like nissan micra or something like that, just come directly to the boss and haggle! 😉 Haggle for everything! Literally everything, every bar have two multiple levels of prices, you just need to let them know that you know how it works. For example at the airport store inside the airport I paid for coffee and bottle of water 1.7euros and she asked me to pay 7 euros before I told her that I live at the islad and after she gived me the price for the locals. If there you can haggle? Imagine what you can do everywhere else? I hope that you will find this useful and hopefully you will save a lot of money. Island is expensive. By the way if you go at the perivolos (Black beach) hotels there are way more cheaper than Thira or any other place at the caldera is way more expensive and actually there is a lot airbnb apartments now. If you planning to stay 1month for 600 euros you can find a small apartment the same day. I can recommend some if anyone needs it. Gotta go now... Hope this helps.
And if you aren't good bike driver then don't rent a scooter or quad, it's very dangerous! But if you know how to drive well that's the best way for the island. You can rent a bike for one month and its not expensive, always ask for the boss when haggle, remember that. Boss is always around!
@@EuroTrotter you welcome. I forgot to add if you book any tours around the island if you want to get better prices it's better to call/go there directly because hotels are adding at least 30% per tour or car rental or any other favor via reception is costly. I would know I worked as receptionist.
58 euros to travel on blue star delos? God no. Book early and fly to Santorini even cheaper. Or pay 58 for the hydrofoil that needs 5 hours to reach Santorini instead of 8-9 with the blue star
Good advice, BUT the ride was REALLY enjoyable and when I did my research everyone suggested taking Blue Start because it is such a nice journey, and it was....but if time is short, you're right, fly....BUT....I HATE tiny planes LOL
Seems like a horrible place. Just jammed packed with tourists. Plus I heard it has a great night life for people with “no kids” and available for the right “person.”
Have just discovered you! Fantastic. I’m a bit offended and very curious why you don’t introduce the ladies in your videos- they sit and eat, stand and eat while you’re talking & yet you do not acknowledge them. WHY? Incredibly rude.
Jane thanks for watching, if I may so kindly ask before you get offended, please watch that vlog series in its entirety, as it is intended, you will meet all my fun friends and ladies along the way, including both Ryan and Ana who accompanied me on this trip. Check out the Mediterranean Vlog playlist on my channel.
these women are just his friends. they are not romantically involved. there is nothing wrong with taking different friends along on different trips. and this is HIS video channel. sheesh.
Ah the joys of travel in Europe when you have to walk 5 miles to get to your hotel. That's why they call it "luggage" because you lug it for miles :) But the juice is worth the squeeze :) You guys did another great job with this and makes me wanna go back to the Greek islands which wasn't an easy thing to do! :) Great job again and I always enjoy watching your updates with my cup of coffee on Sunday mornings!! xxx
I just LOVE this comment....hearing that you and others are enjoying the videos with a cup of coffee on Sunday mornings is EXACTLY what make me do what we do....I love sharing the adventure with everyone! Thank you for being a part of it my friend!
